I am very excited to use your techinque with my machine embroidery patterns. I dont live far from you (5 miles) and hope that one day I can attend some of your events! I LOVE your creativity!
If you 'Heat Set' with an iron 10-15 seconds on the pencils it will help make them color fast. Then when you put the Textile medium on the colors will not run. You can use a large brush over the entire design - no runs. Have you tried Watercolor pencils - I like them more than regular (softer more pigment and I don't use any water).
I recommend if using black, you might want to go through the entire process and heat set area prior to using another color in an adjoining area. Black tends to bled more than other colors. Have fun.
Thank you for the recommend to use a medium, that's a great idea. Great video, this will be fun to try. I had to share with my crafting friends, I know they will enjoy this, also.
Great tutorial! Thanks a bunch--of flowers and cherries! Is this fixing method more permanent than your crayon tinting method as far as gently laundering by hand?

Hello. Thanks for the great tutorial. I was wondering if Meg or anyone else has tried using water soluble stabilizer to print the pattern and put it on the fabric? If so, how to you handle the shading? Also, has anyone used watercolor pencils?
Hi. I have bought the water colour (Derwant) pencil's and are using Aloe Vera gel to start with and then apply the colour. Can I fix the colour afterwards with an Iron ?
Love this Meg- thanks so much for sharing. I'm just wondering if you go over the entire surface with white before you begin adding color ? and then could you use pencil crayons as well ??

Where can someone find "Jacquard textile colorless extender"?
After I let it dry and I heat set it then I can embroidery? Silly question I know but I have never done this before.
Thank you 💕Great tutorial
I wonder if other colored pencils could work also
Just wondering what is the fabric that you use? I would love to try this technique
Buongiorno... non trovo il prodotto jacquard textile....si può usare un altro prodotto??? grazie...
I’m wondering if maybe I did not use enough fixative because it did not bleed through onto the freezer paper at all. 🤔
Do you wash the fabric (muslin?) before you start?
Interesting. I’ve never seen anyone file a stump. They peel. It will keep its form.😊 I bet you get the most of them, however!!
Has anyone had trouble with the Jacquard textile colorless extender changing the color of the prismacolor purples? Our plums turn to a bright magenta!
