I like the aspect of showing Nigerians at work. Many more Nigerians should take advantage of all these constructions going on to get engaged instead of shouting, whinning, wailing, and sulking about unemployment, poverty, and impoverishment. Don't spend too much time on social media blaming the govt. Go and learn how to drive heavy equipment so as to be relevant in the infrastructural revolution that's going on in the country. Drop your phones and get your hands dirty to receive clean money.
The Minister is doing something that the Site Engineer or the Project Manager should be responsible and provide daily reports for review by the back office in the Zonal district. all this drama for camera should not be encouraged by the TV Channels.
Thank you for sharing this good story. This contractors will not accept this in their own country. We hope to see many governors continue this trend. This is a commendable step in our country. 👏🏿👊🏿💪🏿🫶🏿🎉🥰
If the contractors have no good record of performance, why did you give them the job? What's supposed to be the life span of the road when constructed? If all these were taken care of in the terms and conditions of the contractual agreement, then this drama is not necessary. You shouldn't be teaching them how to do their jobs. If they are not following the contractual agreement, then revoke the contract.
That’s the same contractor who constructed the Ibadan part of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. They did an excellent job job there, the problem here is they are pressing for more money and the minister isn’t bulging.
Is very shameful that anytime the minister for works and the FCT minister visit a job site, 90% percent of the company's handling those jobs are foreign companies. Does this mean Nigeria has no indigenous construction company's?
If this was being filmed by a random passerby, then I'd say kudos. However, this is Umahi's cameraman. A video filmed by Umahi's camera man on instruction from Umahi. The people supporting here, must not have had their land seized, home and or homes demolished. This road is not needed particularly as Tinubu has nor repaired most federal roads.
HE IS TALKING TOO MUCH..HOW DOES A WHOLE GOVERNMENT MAKE MONEY AVAILABLE AND CONTRACTORS DELAY THE WORK YET NO ONE HAS BEEN FIRED..THIS IS JUST A SHOW..UNTIL YOU START CONSEQUENCING PEOPLE THEY WILL NOT CHANGE AND YOU ONLY BE MAKING NOISE
This is a hands-on minister in the right ministry. Kudos Hon. David Umahi.🦺🧤

The ones that exist don’t properly follow regulatory practices nor have the capital to handle such big projects.
