Hey Kevin. I just wanted to let you know that your videos have been a huge inspiration to experiment with cocktails. Since I am a little strapped for cash this Christmas, I'm making custom prebatched cocktails for everyone in my family, and your videos have given me the knowledge and courage to try these out. So far: Dad - Manhattan: bacon fat washed bourbon, sweet vermouth, sherry, allspice dram, maple syrup, black walnut bitters, saline solution, cold smoked with hickory. Mom - Egg Nog: eggs, cream, milk, sugar, demerara rum, sherry, fresh ground nutmeg and cinnamon. Making some fresh espresso for her as well as this makes an incredible coffee creamer Sister 1 - Margarita: Pineapple, lime, sugar, jalapeno, clarified with agar agar, blanco tequila, pear liqueur, orange curacao, saline solution Sister 2 - Mule: lime, cucumber, honey, ginger, Mint, clarified with agar agar, vodka, elderflower liqueur, navy strength Jamaican rum (just a touch for a little funk), saline solution, and separately topped with ginger beer upon presentation. Mother in law - Basil smash: lime, cucumber, sugar, basil, clarified in agar agar, gin, Genepy, elderflower liqueur, saline solution. Only 2 people left to make cocktails for- brother in law (doesn't really like cocktails, was probably just going to buy him beer). Father in law (loves skrewball peanut butter whiskey... Which I hate... So I may have to try and create something with that) I'd love any suggestions!
Rich. Butter. Decadent. Cozy. Delicious. These are the same descriptors I use whenever I think about you, Kevin...especially delicious. You are truly a cocktail god with a mixologist mustache.
🧈 Cheers Kevin! I have a bottle of Butter Washed Appleton 8 I made last year I'm going to make this syrup to couple with it and make some of these soon!
Our go to around the house is a Brandy Alexander around the holidays. I do love a nog, and we made a great Grasshopper recently from the Aviary recipe book.
What timing! I was looking to make some hot buttered rum for the Christmas menu. I know I need to stock up on emulsifiers to make this but do I also need to grow a twisty mustache? I just want to make sure I get it right. 😉 Look forward to trying this. Cheers fellas!
When visiting the Liber-store linked in the comment, I can only select Canada or US for shipping. Anyone knows where their selection are best available in Europe?
🧈 I used to do what I called a "lazy man's" hot buttered rum, which was basically a regular hot buttered rum, but instead of hot water, I used a hot apple cider Keurig pod. I used to call it the lazy man because all the movies said you were supposed to heat the rum with a hot poker stick and not hot water.
I'm curious about replacing the butter with ghee. More precisely control the amount of water going into your syrup, improve shelf life by removing the milk solids, and add a note of nutty flavor.
I got a hint to make it even better. Try it with "brown butter" instead. What's that? Brown butter is made by heating butter until it turns brown at the bottom of the pot after losing most of its water. It changes taste dramatically. You can use it as an addition for food (e.g. pancakes) or as the base for this syrup!

Canelazo was the staple back home. It's the best way to get warm on a cold morning
Adds are ok, but plugging them in the main video cheapens your brand. You'll have an integrity problem in no time.
@@jr.bobdobbs would that apply to any UA-camr that has sponsored videos?
Thanks for the shoutout Kevin! Haven’t made hot buttered yet this year! Cheers!
With pleasure! Now it's perfect timing for this drink 😊 Cheers!
You never fail to make any cocktail butter 😉

The crushed velvet jacket is 🔥 great video Kevin
Glad you like it! 🫶
Since I don't drink alcohol anymore I tried this in coffee.
Tastes really, really good!
Oh YES! That would be so good in coffee. Lol
🧈 I'd love to have a flask of this to sip while on a winter hike
Great occasion for this drink for sure!
🧈💛 cocoa butter syrup… my goodness, everything I love in a single ingredient
“Is there sugar in syrup? Then yes!”
🤩🤩
Lovely! Thank you Kevin & crew! 🧈
Thank you!
🧈 Man that sounds good. Gotta make this.
🧈 Cheers Kevin! I have a bottle of Butter Washed Appleton 8 I made last year I'm going to make this syrup to couple with it and make some of these soon!
Sounds great! Enjoy!
By far my favorite winter warmer is a hot G&T. Tonic syrup, gin, hot water and a slice of orange.
Our go to around the house is a Brandy Alexander around the holidays. I do love a nog, and we made a great Grasshopper recently from the Aviary recipe book.
Cheers!
🧈wow! Looks fantastic! my drink for the winter is eggnog with "strega", a liqueur from south of Italy
🧈 Kevin, a Legend of the Game.
Very tempting recipes.
thank you!
🧈 awesome video. I look forward to making this.
Hope you enjoy!
Great recipe & cool explanation of history at the end!! 🧈
Love this, is it possible tyo clarify this butter syrup as well? What process would one use?
My goto hot winter drink is brown butter washed rum, hot water, sugar cube with star anise garnish. I learned this from How To Drink
nice! Cheers!

It might help a bit! 😆 Thank you Vino! Hope you like this drink! Cheers!
Never thought of making a butter emulsion for a drink. I kinda want to try this.
Thanks for the content Kevin! Amazing stuff
Glad you enjoy it!
🧈 definitely have to try this butter syrup! But won't it solidify over night if out in the fridge? 😅
This was very useful
Thank you
Great recipe, can't wait to try it at home ...🧈
Hope you enjoy

So happy for all the festive recipes! 🤩
In love this season too 🤩

🧈 Cheers! Love your channel.
Yeah... gonna have to give this one a shot! 🧈
Cheers!

it's not available for now. I hope they will soon find a distributor here in EU. Cheers!
Do you have a bar program?

Great info! Also I can see aple cider working here perfectly! Cheers!

🧈 I had no idea this was a butter emoji 😂 And the Butter Grasshopper was delicious if anyone's wondering! 🤤
You couldn't have made it better 🤩
I got a hint to make it even better.

Great idea! Maybe for next year 🤩 Thank you!
🧈🥃looks delicious
Thank you!
I want mine with whiskey :) better vibes xmas, no?
Whisky can go well in here too! 🥂
What is the point of using cocoa butter instead of butter?
I used cocoa butter and regular butter. The first one is for adding additional taste.
🧈 because you mentioned harry potter in the opening, I think I could make some hogsmeade's butterbeer with this syrup. cheers
great idea! Cheers!
Why do you need xanthan gum if you already have gum Arabic? What’s the main difference
🧈 the calories alone in this are staggering :D
Haha you are right 😆
🧈 glad you don’t include nutritional information for these. No wonder they taste so good!
Lunch lady Doris, have you got any butter? Then butter me up woman 🧈
😄😄
🧈 This looks Simply Delicious, I can't wait to make this one!
Hope you enjoy!
🧈 what kind of shelf life is expected ? They said I doubt it would last that long 😋
Following
Not sure but one week is for sure ok
That Is way tòo much butter
Budder
🧈
🧈 This is certainly one I need to try. This also looks like it could be used to improve the making of Donn the Beachcomber's Gardenia Mix.
🧈 Sounds wonderfull, I’ll settle with the first version this weekend.
cheers!
Sigh . . . Back to the kitchen again . . . 😅
😁

@@PipoBones awesome! Thanks!
Maybe this butter syrup would also work in a Pearl Diver? 🧈
Good idea!
Hmm I might wanna go back and mix up that popcorn infused bourbon you once made and use this syrup with it! 🧈
Great idea! Cheers!
