- Today I take you behind the scenes of Nesbit's fine watch service. Nesbit's have been in the business for over 100 years and are the premier watchmakers of the Seattle area. I collected 10 burning watch related questions from myself and other watch enthusiasts to pose to Tom.

I’ve used Nesbit’s before and really like Tom and Jan. They serviced my PO 2500 recently and although Tom tried to talk me out of going overboard (bezel and crystal replacement) I’m glad I did. They did a fantastic job and the watch came back looking like new. Their warranty of their work goes well beyond the manufacturer. And unlike the brand service you have the opportunity to ask questions and get opinions. I will definitely be using Nesbit’s in the future.

Very good to get factual information from an authoritative source and not the usual clichéd generic waffle from most watch channels.
Nice to see Seattle, the odd video out and about would be good. Lots of hard facts to digest Re: Rolex vintage and watches in general.

Just watched it back again, the questions are not on screen very long, you have to be a quick reader. The Watchbox watchmaker Michael Michaels doesn't like watch winders for the same reason and they've described how you have to have perpetual calendars sent back to the factory to reset them if you are unfamiliar with them.
Yeah I wouldn't even know how to begin to reset one.
Was just watching your video changing the dial and hands on a Seiko. You might like the 'Don't Do This At Home' series from the excellent Marc André Deschoux of the.Watches.TV on You Tube and Instagram. This segment started in 2017 where 'The Naked Watchmaker' on Instagram and website dismantled a Submariner Date 116610LN and later a Breitling Chronograph with an ETA movement and a couple of days ago did a Vacheron Constantin pocket watch. They are infrequent segments but popular. Watchadvisor and Monochrome Watches run by Frank Geelen who is Dutch are excellent. My other iPhone is charging up and I can put the links in after for you as this BlackBerry is a bit limited although good.
Have a look at the recently released Frédéric Constant watches link I sent you. They look excellent and did a perpetual calendar as well, which is a good but budget brand.
Excellent vid again Max, if you look back at the early videos of the big WatchTube guys they seem amateurish but your content is right up there with the big guys contemporary stuff and I get the impression that you really know what you are trying to do here.

Excellent video... I always assumed wear issue with a watch winder was a negative for using one but I didn’t know that the oils won’t necessarily congeal if watch is not in motion . For watches that are not in use and sitting all that is needed is a good wind once in a while! I’m sure the watch winding makers don’t like hearing this.
Yes, newer synthetic oils don't age like the old stuff 👍
I know that guy. He didn’t talk about all of the equipment that goes into outfitting a real watch repair business. That stuff adds up.

had my fathers old omega serviced with them, very legit.. after the initial diagnosis they even offered to get a quote directly from omega as some of the parts required may be foc if I went directly through them.
Yeah, these guys are honest and don't bullshit you. They have a very high standard for their work.
I am quite late, but there is no harm in trying...
I wish to mod an old mechanical watch, but it is heavily affected by magnetism and temperature changes. I wish to install a silicon hairspring into it, to make it antimagnetic. This watch is a 1979 CITIZEN Bullhead. Is this even possible? May I install a Nivarox hairspring into my wristwatch?
