yeah it's really frustrating how some heroes get basically no skin exclusive lines. And some skins with a LOT of lines are hard or impossible to obtain anymore.
My favourites are Winston referencing Monsters Inc with the lemon snowcone, Lúcio referencing the Fifa games, and Genji's UNBREAKABLE BODY and FANTASTIC TECHNIQUE
My favorites Genji: "The light becomes me!" Junkrat: "Ladies and Gentlemen, my lastest creation!" Mercy: "My servants never die!" Zen: "Experience, festivity."
To clear up some confusion there are a few voice lines that has since been removed from the game entirely and there are a few for Cassidy which I decided to sentence mix (Not officially by Blizzard in any capacity) mainly the ones where it mentioned his old name so I can find a way to incorporate them into the video and out of respect for the Overwatch Team who wanted to completely cut ties with the employee that the hero was originally named after.
I’ve played the game on and off since launch and I never knew that’s why they changed his name! But now I just looked it up and I gotta give respect for going and editing Cassidy into the voice lines so you can still share it with us. Keep up the great work and thank you for doing what you do!👍
@@TheRealBatabii There are plenty of lines in that video in general that were removed from the game not just Cassidy. All of the Overwatch 1 lines that are currently in Overwatch 2 has remained unchanged.
All references in Genji's Genjiman and Sentai skin: *"Genji's here. The thing I love about Tracer’s comic book skin, whenever a melee attack connects with an enemy, it makes a sound like a sound effect from a comic book (if that makes sense)
I think rein has a voice line for the conductor skin when he kills someone by charging them off the map, he says "express delivery, to your doom" but that might just be a regular voice line

The first two Yeti Winston ones are references to the abominable from Monsters Inc.! I'd always recognize "welcome to the Himalayas!!" XD Also idk why but Sigma calling others "scallywags" is one of the funniest things to me lol
Yeah same. He's such an awkward scientist in most of his lines, and calling people scallywags just seems like he's trying to participate in "talk like a pirate day" but is still just that quirky scientist.
What I find interesting is that many of Ashe's warlock lines were added during the most recent halloween event. So hopefully that means that many of the older skins will get new voice lines eventually.
Black watch genji was the first skin I ever got when I started in 2017, and I loved that skin so much I haven’t changed it to this day, so I never knew that 4:45 was specific to it.
You missed that Sigma says “it'd be a lot more comfortable if these feet could breathe” when you have his Talon, Carbon Fiber, or Maestro skins equipped - because they all have shoes. And that for the same skins, when you're nearing victory, he sometimes says “ugh, does that mean I can take these off now?”
High Moon? Not Full Moon? We were so close. I've always wanted that skin to say "It's a Full Moon" and we're right there Overwatch team. So close. Also I also really need Waver Racer D.Va's ult line to be "Surf This!"
One thing you missed sigmas maestro skin has 2lines unique to the skin if you get a kill streak he might say "does this mean I can take them off now" and a line when you die he will say something along the lines of I would perform better if these feet could breathe.

Ironically, comic book heroes(at least old comic books) are campy and light hearted, but Tracer has some of her most down to earth lines with the skin lol. The one you pointed out felt nice but odd to until Ramattra came out and made me realize what she means. There are Heroes & Villans, and Revolutionaries & Fighters. Tracer is a Hero and a Fighter, She does what she does to protect all life even if it cost her her life, while Ramattra is a Revolutionary, but his actions vilify himself making him a villan to those he opposes, but it's all to cause change for the betterment of his people. Tracer doesn't do what she does to change, and she probably know she can't do anything to meaningfully change the world for the better, and that's what the weight she refers to must be. It's like Superman in some medias says "It's a never-ending war," but some are willing to try wage it and see it to the bitter end
I’m still mad they made people pay 26 dollars for the Kiriko witch skin to not even give her the unique ultimate line she got in the wrath of the bride game mode😐

ive found it easier to kill a group of enemies with Junkrats Junknkenstein skin because they seem to tune out his shout. 5 years of the same bland holloween event seems to have gotten to them all

The Yeti Winston "Harold was my mentor" line is a reference to Disneylands Matterhorn, Harold was the name the imagineers gave the yeti that used to be on the ride before the refurb in 2015
Would be nice if you mentioned HOW to activate these voice lines. Some are abilities/attacks/elims, some replace specific equippable Voice Lines, and some are just random chatter.
Is Pharah's "take a bite out of crime" line not unique to the Anubis skin? I've heard her drop multiple dog puns in that skin but I never see them in these compilations or anywhere else at all, it's making me feel crazy.
Probably intentional, because that was for his tank form like how it was in ow1. Being an artillery cannon in ow2 is probably the reason why. Still kept the highlight intro when transforming from tank back to omnic tho.... Weird blizzard.

I use blackwatch so much on genji that I didn’t even realize he had skin-specific swift strike grunts. I’m honestly shocked.

He also has a custom charge sound, with a train whistle in the background.
That lines plays regardless of what skin you equip as I heard many times while playing him without the skin equipped.
