Man would be happy to do anything to spite his brothers and he can relate to a wife guy who just wants to see his fucking wife again and Zeus and Poseidon being assholes about it
I love that Hades’s musical style sounds like a crowd of mourners. Really fits him well. And I like that Hades says “release him” without convincing since Ody’s gonna die one day regardless.
Hades should be voiced by everyone in the show who has died up until God Games. All their voices overlapped, slowed, and distorted with echoing. Kind of like how God was voiced in Prince of Egypt
Now I'm imagining a Hades design where he's wearing a sash that's literally made of the River Stix so the harmonies are literally the souls of the damned that weren't given a proper burial that he's able to pull from anywhere he goes and sitting on his shoulder where the sash rests is a little boat with Charon who's paddling but not moving as the sash shimmers and shifts around Hades' form.
@davi.brasil I kinda think that's why he was taken out. None of it matters to Hades either way. Being on the island would have been a mercy, but if Athena really wants to push for Odysseus leaving. He'll end up in Tartarus either way. Wish I had more music to make a longer verse 😅
Oh! I love this take. The "I know we'll see him some day" somehow makes me think of Hades waiting for Persephone for half of the year too. He has all the time to wait, I'm sure he understands that longing Odysseus has in all those years too. 🥹 (and the background chorus reminds me of a certain other musical I love with him too) 🥰 thank you for this!
@@crafteariee oh that’s so sweet! I hadn’t even thought about him having to wait for Persephone and how that relates to Odysseus and Penelope. I love Hades and Persephone so much
This is so different from the CF Entertainment version but it's SO GOOD and shows a completely different side of Hades. I love that no matter how he's portrayed, all the versions of him just don't even bother dealing with Zeus' stupid games.
Funny when for the few myths where he appears, as in the myth of Asclepius or the Homeric hymn to Demeter, Hades always aligns himself in favor of Zeus
@@JoseGuevara-b7vI find it funny that Hades asked Zeus' blessing to marry Persephone but he forgot to inform Demeter that her daughter was getting married
I love how "His family, his friends, they're waiting" could either be interpreted as Penelope, Telemachus and Athena waiting to see him again in Ithaca, or as Odysseus's mom and crew waiting to see him again in the Underworld.
I would just like to say that I am grateful for the support so far, I may redo it because I feel like there are areas that need improvement. But thank you all for your thoughts, your suggestions, and most importantly, your support ❤
The only part I would point out is the (the first 600 part more so the 6 is very sharp) and the friends' part and some parts where the breath is noticeable. But besides that, you're good. ( Im currently majoring as a recording artist. that's why I pointed it out, but no biggie, we love it)
This sounds MUCH more inline with Jorge's vision for what Hades would have sounded like in God Games. On top of that, I love your voice. Beautifully done.
I love this interpretation of Hades! I never liked the depictions of him as a villain, he always seemed like a tired dude who never wanted the underworld but takes his domain seriously. I love that he references all the people in the underworld who cared about Odysseus who wanted to see him, and doesn’t see any purpose in keeping him away from the people he has left.
Hades should've been in so that vengeance saga wouldve made sense with the souls of the dead coming to save him. Like, in greek mythology, that breaks everything
Very interesting take I can definitely see this being the way hades would be portrayed and if not sounding mournful lullaby then perhaps cocky knowing he'll end up in the afterlife. But your take is perfect he knows all life is bound to die eventually.
I like the idea of hades in god games, but I don’t think he’d care. The same way he says release him with no reason, he wouldn’t care since he’ll see him eventually.
This is so nice! OwO I really like how you wrote his lines, it feels like a "i don't care that much, sooner or later he will be here anyway, but, i can take sympathy for a man such as him" and i love it, it fits him a lot, even more due to the themes that EPIC decides to focus on, that being of a loyal men desperate to see his wife again Something with Hades can relate to, due to his story with Persephone in almost every iteration of their story.

Man now I’m thinking of arguments Athena could make against Hades. Maybe how Hades doesn’t need to kill Odysseus, Odysseus will naturally without intervention. It’s less work for the same result for Hades to do nothing. If Hades wants him dead, then tell Hades that Odysseus will die faster if he’s not protected on an island. If you focus on the waiting line, then Athena could point out Telemachus and Penelope are also waiting, and it’s not fair to focus only on the dead and not the living.
That all sounds incredibly creative 😄 I like the argument for his family waiting in the world of the living. Athena could also point out how Hades could relate to Odysseus as he has to wait for Persephone every year
Hot take, this is better than that hades rap. Yours fits Hades way better than that high pitched eminem rip off that talks like a teenager, while simultaneously throwing the style of EPIC out of a 20 story building worse than odysseus did to the baby.
