Looking forward to part two . This is one of the few preserved lines I've yet to visit, and the potential of a " double- tedder " looks very tempting !!
Part 2 should be on line today. They do have special gala days, when they get more locos in action. I believe its one this coming weekend, which would be well worth visiting.
Cor its many many years since I was in the forest of Dean,,,, not seen this railway before,,, looks quite interesting ,,, they certainly have quite a bit of rolling stock awaiting renovation ,,,, many thanks good watch as always
Thanks Alan. We first came across it many years ago when we discovered some disused railway tracks on their own at Parkend and thought wont it be great if this ever gets restored! Now it has been!
Yes it was good to be back. I would have liked more time there to get out into the sidings and see more. I spent ages looking for an old photo i remembered of my restored Heinkel bubblecar there but it has somehow got miss filed. I was interested however to come across a photo of my restored Messerschmitt there on two years after that . It was good to be reminded of that!
