Learning to love suffering is the key. All our lives we are geared towards turning away from suffering and only seeking our pleasure. You only need to suffer for that which is worth it, that you are required to overcome the problems and obstacles that are going to trip you up if you just strictly work to avoid them. Physical strength is great, but mental strength is essential. Don't forget to train your brain for success.

Dang that's a good point. It's a further explanation of "anything of value is worth working for" we all hear of marriages at divorces door and work to be/do/love better and have a great relationship now.

That reminds me of what David Goggins always says: “On the other side of suffering is greatness!”

@24:30 "the more we are are capable of serving ourselves, the more we are capable to serve others". In the context of positioning ourselves on our value list. Said not to raise egocentrism,.but rather help those driven, by best intensions, who are "giving away" their lives, and suffer. That is a gospel like sentence.

Scott calls himself "Left of Bernie" on social issues, so I'm not that surprised about his opinion on gender. But I still wonder how he can believe that. The way I see it, there are two genders, male and female. But within those two there can of course be infinite variation. Some women are super feminine, others are tomboys. That's fine, but that doesn't suddenly make them a different gender. Same with men, you have alphas, betas, but all of them fall into the category of "men". If you believed that every tiny bit of difference between two people makes them different genders, then there would be as many genders as there are people in the world.
Nature gives us a male or female gender. That doesn't mean that you HAVE to behave a certain way, you're free to behave however you want, but that's no reason to call yourself something you're not. It's like people have become more afraid to express themselves. They might think, "I was born as a girl, but I like the same things most boys like, therefore I can't be a girl and I must become a boy", instead of thinking "I'm just a girl who likes doing boy activities, deal with it." People can't accept themselves for who they are anymore. They're afraid to be their unique self and feel the need to join an identity group. IMO it's a result of mental weakness and fear.

Beefore reading your comment I wrote mine in which apart from using similar arguments to yours I compared "infinite gender" belivers to flat earth belivers. They both question the science and put subjective feelings, or statements over facts.

My response to the "what's wrong" question (due to the expression on my face) is "nothing is wrong that's just my face!" Hahaha

Scott Adams is brilliant as a host where he is having to control the conversation, reading comments on his periscope whilst talking to the camera or following his guest's comments and moving on to the next point. In these situations where he is the guest and he can concentrate purely on the specific point he is being asked, he's even better

Adams in his example of the slippery slope fails to take The High Ground which is to permit people to go ahead and separate into their own communities to live out their strongly held beliefs and preferences. So permitting is placing consent as a primary value. Of course he can retreat to the position that no one is really free and therefore it's okay for people in positions of high status and power such as he to advocate against any slippery slope arguments since, obviously, they're doing just fine, thank you very much. This is loser think because whether people are in fact free or not they will kill you for violating their illusion of Freedom. Understand Scott? BTW, such arrogance is properly characterized as being "supremacist" in the correct sense of that word: Violating the consent of the governed. Scott thinks that "supremacist" means believing one's self or one's group to be superior even if the reason one holds this belief is that one, or one's group, stands in more opposition to supremacists, properly defined, than others. Quite simply, Scott is a moral moron.

First, men aren't dumb, they choose their route, too. There's places I wont walk in, because its dangerous. Second, as to arguing, men test ideas, and women test men.

@1:09:00 as Scott says he believs in infinitive number of genders and then uses level of testosteron as argument supporting it. (What the uck?) With all respect they are still men and women with different levels of it. Yes, there are manly woman and girly men, and that is fine, it is biology. It was not their choice. But biology is biology and do not mix it with belief systems. And when I disagree to call them according to their beliefs, then it is not due to lack of respect for them, but due to respect for science. And it does not mean persecution, act of hate, or any negative feelings.
Ps. Actually I see some similarity with arguing against flat earth believers. And I wander how wonderful it would be if infinity of genders movement would ally with flat earthers!

Thats faulty logic. Slippery slopes refer to someone whos holding high ground. Just because mans loss may be seen as others gain doesnt negate upholding standards and values..thats just dangerous thinking. It seems "winner think" devolves meaning.

I NOT AGREE, HE LOSSES 5 YEARS OF NOT SPEND MONEY IN ELETRICITY AND THATS COMPENSS THE PRICE ? HOW LOW HAVE TO BE THE PRICE TO MAKE IT PROFITABLE? AND MAKE UP FOR THE 5 YEARS?. AND IN THE QUESTION OF GENDERS, I EVEN HAVE TO SAY NOTHING TO YOU..
