    The key point that you mention in this video is the flashing FLUSH message which one has to be tended to as soon as happens. The official video from Ninja Coffee Bar notes that it must be attended within fifteen minutes (on my model CF086, it's less than five minutes) OR you have to go through another clean cycle. This is NOT mentioned in the owner's guide. You, sir, are a lifesaver. Your video is very informative. Again, thanks.

      TY for adding the importance of the 5 or 15 min of the flushing as every detail is crucial when one is dealing with such expensive merchandise especially a coffee mashing such as NINJA. I say they are not meant for person who are careless about cleaning or can’t offers to pay someone to clean it.

  • @Elizabeth-t1x
    @Elizabeth-t1x 6 місяців тому +1

    Fast & hurry is true that.
    When we want great coffee sometime takes some patience to avoid bitterness or having to replace a valuable coffee maker if being careless. TY it was a great presentation.

    I had the problem of the clean light staying on despite many, many cleanings. Finally I realized it was because I was not proceeding with the flush cycle immediately after the cleaning. There is only a 15 minute window. Miss it, and you have to start the whole process over.

    Thank you! You presented a well articulated and straight forward process. Most importantly it motivated me to clean the machine - and it worked.

      Thank you for taking the time to watch. A lot of people try it once, and if it doesn't work, they assume the machine is not working right. I once had the light turn back on, after cleaning, and using it just once. After cleaning it again, it worked fine. Glad it worked out for you.

    Hello Steve. The company I work for has a ninja coffee pot. The model looks almost like yours. I did the same flush cycles twice. The clean light still comes on. My boss said some coffee makers will do that, if they're too old. He told me the ninja is clean and safe. I'll just keep cleaning it out monthly. Thank you for sharing. 🙂👍

    My clean light has been on for over a year & after following the steps in this video it cut off!! I was skeptical, because I thought my clean light would just stay on forever but it actually worked. I think I may have been doing the "flush" step wrong previously because instead of pushing the "Clean" button to flush it out, I pushed the "Classic brew" button, so it never finished the Clean cycle. Thank you!

    • @MrSteviej893
      @MrSteviej893  5 років тому +1

      Yep pushing the Classic Brew button prematurely ended the cleaning cycle for you. I'm glad the video was able to help. To be honest, this video is just a visual demo of how the manual says to run the clean cycle. Sometimes it helps folks to see things done as opposed to reading an instruction manual and trying to picture how it works (visual vs manual learning). Thanks for watching

      It may be not only the type of coffee you are using like Arabica beans ground to espresso fine and then how your brewing it [espresso? Drip? Etc. ] and if it's brewing at the proper temperature. All of those elements including your water and it's specific elements [minerals it does or does not have] can have an affect on the amount of oils and build up is in your machine. When you clean it could be that it's not fully cleaning it but it is being cleaned to an acceptable level for the light to turn off but than quickly building back up after only a couple of brews. I would suggest getting yourself some Puro Caff Espresso Machine Cleaner. It works beautifully with very little of it and just as simple to use by adding maybe a tablespoon to the whole reservoir and cleaning it with the same process as this gentlemen's video. I get mine at a store called Cash and Carry here in Washington State but I know you can get it on Amazon and even Walmart has there version of it also. It's not very expensive at all. I believe 20 bucks top for like 20oz and that should last you at least a year and that's if you're having to clean it even once a month which I pretty much guarantee would be the absolute most often you'd need to clean it even with coffee stand like volume use. I hope this helps if not I'd be reaching out to Ninja Customer Service. Take care!

    You could reset by unplugging machine. I did not know that it would tell you when to clean it. I thought it normal to clean almost everyday with plain water or when coffee residues are on the opening where the hot water area are soiled. and do not wipe off all the way. When I clean mine I put a little more water than I use when I make coffee and I press the regular brew button. I press the clean button sometimes, but it is on a timer and have to wait for it to go off. The strainer is too hot to touch any way, so wait for to cool off a bit. Mine never takes as long as stated in this video. I will be trying this, but will have to buy vinegar, do not have enough now. I noticed if anything is off, like drip leaver is pushed to right (closed drip) or strainer not pushed in all the way or water carafe not sitting on correctly it makes a beeping sound and won't make coffee. About the timer I have to put time as what ever it is already on, think it is 12:00 and the timer time as a second or so latter. Can't set timer as any other way for it to make coffee right away.

    I went onto Ninja's website and obtained the phone number for support. I called them and explained my cleaning cycle issue. They acknowledged that they had/have a sensor issue in their coffee pots. They said "at this time" they are not offering replacements or repairs to the affected units. They said to ignore the cleaning light and just make sure you clean the unit every 100 cycles. Seeing I spent $169.00 on this coffee pot...I'm not exactly thrilled with their response. It's going to take a lot of people to start calling them and complaining before they will start to offer replacements for their defective product.

    • @MrSteviej893
      @MrSteviej893  6 років тому +1

      Yes some systems have a sensor issue. This does not prevent the machine from brewing coffee. It's also not advisable to wait 100 cycles before cleaning, if you want a machine that produces decent coffee. With regard to your comment about a useless video, no one forced you to watch so that's on you. There are many people who have benefited from watching, and the comments bear this out. There are some who it didn't help, and lots who it did. Just because it didn't work in your case doesn't mean the video is worthless. If that's the case, come up with the fix and post your own video smart-guy.

      My coffee maker will not work if I do not set time and timer. I set mine to 12:00 to predetermined, then set timer to sec or so later. So it waits those sec.s before it starts. Once it has been set up. Instead of pushing the clean button try pushing the brew button for full carafe. I think the light stays on because the strainer is very hot and you do not want to get burned touching it.

      Real Steps to cleaning the pot:
      1- Take reservoir off
      2- press CLN button... should prompt you to FLUSH
      3- When you see FLUSH... press CLN button (might want to just hold it)
      4- like magic the CLN light goes off. It will beep for several seconds, probably to let you know it reset the CLN light to bother you again in the future.

    The problem some people are having is doing exactly what you did but the clean light comes on after the first time you use it again. Do another full clean and rinse and then the clean light comes on after the first use. Frustrating!

    Thanks a lot for making the video.. my machine cleans for 2 seconds then beeps and shows the flush sign. Once I flush and brew some coffee, the clean light comes back on right away. I'm not sure what to do here.

    I have noticed that mine doesn't sit for fifteen minutes like the instructions say to. It just starts heating and brewing almost immediately. I live in Arizona with seriously hard water, so I expect to clean this once a month. I've run this clean cycle 4 times and no change.

    • @MrSteviej893
      @MrSteviej893  5 років тому

      I've never had that issue. Mine is still working good after almost a year and a half.

    Our maker will not brew coffee unless we use the clean button. The start button will not light up at all.
    It's a NCB but different model as it does not have a flush cycle. Ideas?

    You didn't address the issue of the "Clean" light staying on after cleaning the Ninja, even though you talked doing just that in the beginning of your video. All you did was clean the thing as per the instructions. The "Clean" light is only dreaded when it won't shut off.

    • @MrSteviej893
      @MrSteviej893  6 років тому +4

      That's because if it's cleaned according to the instructions, the light goes off...it was addressed and shown in the video.

    Morning sir,
    Well, I've actually done this twice back to back. With the vinegar & with descaler. Both times (done within 4 days of each other) after making pots of coffee, the clean light came on again. Not sure what's going on! Thanks for the video though

    OK I didn't know there was a flush option I thought that flush meant that it was putting all the water and vinegar you put in there was being sent through ugh I feel dumb now thank you maybe now my light will go off and I don't need a new machine I used to put the water mixture in and press clean that's it bc that's what my brother in-law told me to do when he set it up for me I hope also the weird taste goes away as well

    • @MrSteviej893
      @MrSteviej893  5 років тому

      It's ok we all have to learn how to use it. I've made the mistake of forgetting to press FLUSH, and accidentally hit CLEAN and restarted the whole process over from scratch lol. Thanks for watching and I hope it helps.

    I was washing basket the other day, used the tabs on side and removed the bottom part, found a spring in the sink, and don’t know where or how the spring goes. If I attach it to the post on the bottom part of basket it pokes through the top part of basket, where coffee brews out? Thank you.

    • @tholian_web
      @tholian_web 6 років тому +1

      Frank Killa I read somewhere online today that when it tells you to flush, you need to tap the clean button very quickly. That will cause it to flush. If you hold the clean button down other than very quickly, it will activate a full Clean Cycle again.

    • @brendajimenez5869
      @brendajimenez5869 6 років тому

      Frank Killa - Ugh, same thing happens to me!! I went through the entire clean cycle, and even made sure to be right in front of my Ninja so that I could see the FLUSH sign, and it never happened. I clicked the clean button immediately after it announced it was done with the clean cycle and it just went right back to the clean cycle 🤬🤬🤬

    The Clean light on my daughter's machine is on and it does seem to be preventing me from brewing a pot this morning. When I press the brew button I just get a dull beeping done. Checked and double checked all filling and positioning, unplugged and plugged in again (NOTHING reset). I'm bummed. It's 4 am and I have to start work in 1/2 hour. WHY do these gadgets even have the option to screw up somebody's morning like this??

    • @MrSteviej893
      @MrSteviej893  5 років тому

      I know the feeling. Mine has now developed an issue where it steams and evaporates more water than it brews.

  • @aman4peace

    my wife did the thing using vinegar she did the steps after wards the light is on said clean. you said it is ok still to use if the light is on. I lke to see the light can be off if i can

    • @MrSteviej893
      @MrSteviej893  6 років тому

      Yes you can still use it with the Clean light on. You can also try to do the cleaning cycle again; I know it's a hassle to wait that long, but it might resolve the issue. Beyond that, there's no issue with continuing to use it.
