My Dad passed away a year ago, he was a lifelong musician, this instantly reminded me of him. This song hit so hard, tears streaming down my face. Thank you for this Sir, your a blessing to the world.
Just a few days ago, while hunting for a different song on Spotify's acoustic guitar playlist, I was lucky enough to stumble upon this piece. Skipping around to find the song I was hunting, I only heard the 'Tell me, it's ok, my friend' line and the song immediately captured my heart. Since then, I've played it on repeat over 50 times - it is my favorite song now! Your voice, and the creative twists you add to it, is absolutely remarkable and I'm blown away that this video hasn't hit millions of views yet. Keep up the great work and know that your music is deeply appreciated. This should be heard by everyone!
Recently discovered you. YESSS! as a musician, twice as old as you, and have been in the industry, I know good music when I see it. You are gold. Never stop.
It's your fault When your pride grows thicker than your skin It's burning up like oxygen As the rhythm of your body's overthrown And you overdo it everybody knows She's got a glare inside her eyes And she makes everything she touches turn to stone Here's to all the things that you made up in your mind to get you home When you finally reach the place You realize there's nothing there In your heart In your mind Between the walls that you have made Between the thoughts that you've created In your mind In your heart Between the walls that you've made Between the thoughts that you've created You just step on the sunlight Fall in love while reaching out The teachers never told you about reasonable doubt When your love has gone to sleep, and it's not coming back tonight And you take your medicine there's a reason that you hide You go out with some style and somebody else to blame They are counting all your blessings as you right them in a page And you feel empty tonight And you won't sleep and waking' up And there's the same old feeling that you're feeding walls And you're stuck in your own mind In your head Between the walls that you have made Between the thoughts that you've created In your heart In your mind Between the walls that you have made Between the thoughts that you've created There's a diamond, creature man, cold heart, and a thief to get Everything you thought you knew apart of me and apart of you I'd listen to the two words Never tell you what it was Before you made it up inside Many things could happen There's an honest man Simple man Clever man Less of man Left alone to stand amongst the record tune your heart Talking sense, tell me, love, once again Tell me, "It's okay, my friend" It's lonely in my heart In my head Between the walls that you have made Between the thoughts that you've created In your heart In your head Between the walls that you have made Between the thoughts that you've created In your head In your heart Between the walls that you have made Between the thoughts that you've created in your head Source: Musixmatch Oops no official video... Hey bro, I first heard this song a few months ago working in a kitchen while I was peeling potatoes . . I had tears in my eyes after the first chorus, and I was a blubbery mess by the end. It’s a truly beautiful song, it’s so honest and raw while also being wonderfully poetic. I was reminded of the fugees because you really were singing my life with your words. I’m a musician too and I’ve been learning it for a little while now. If you’re interested I could send you my cover version ~
I'm listening this song almost every day, a masterpiece that reached Brazil!
Thank you ❤
Just what this Montreal quarantine needed, some sweet tunes!

Remembers me of your show in Trois-Rivières, I will never forget that special feeling I had when you played that song in the crowd!
This song is underrated.

A little rocky at the start and end but wonderful. I was looking for a choir/orchestral version of the song. The fullness... it'd sound amazing!
One of my favourite songs
❤
It's your fault
When your pride grows thicker than your skin
It's burning up like oxygen
As the rhythm of your body's overthrown
And you overdo it everybody knows
She's got a glare inside her eyes
And she makes everything she touches turn to stone
Here's to all the things that you made up in your mind to get you home
When you finally reach the place
You realize there's nothing there
In your heart
In your mind
Between the walls that you have made
Between the thoughts that you've created
In your mind
In your heart
Between the walls that you've made
Between the thoughts that you've created
You just step on the sunlight
Fall in love while reaching out
The teachers never told you about reasonable doubt
When your love has gone to sleep, and it's not coming back tonight
And you take your medicine there's a reason that you hide
You go out with some style and somebody else to blame
They are counting all your blessings as you right them in a page
And you feel empty tonight
And you won't sleep and waking' up
And there's the same old feeling that you're feeding walls
And you're stuck in your own mind
In your head
Between the walls that you have made
Between the thoughts that you've created
In your heart
In your mind
Between the walls that you have made
Between the thoughts that you've created
There's a diamond, creature man, cold heart, and a thief to get
Everything you thought you knew apart of me and apart of you
I'd listen to the two words
Never tell you what it was
Before you made it up inside
Many things could happen
There's an honest man
Simple man
Clever man
Less of man
Left alone to stand amongst the record tune your heart
Talking sense, tell me, love, once again
Tell me, "It's okay, my friend"
It's lonely in my heart
In my head
Between the walls that you have made
Between the thoughts that you've created
In your heart
In your head
Between the walls that you have made
Between the thoughts that you've created
In your head
In your heart
Between the walls that you have made
Between the thoughts that you've created in your head

I needed a brake. Et j'en aurai encore besoin. Pourras tu encore recommencé sil te plait ? Ça m'a fait un énorme bien.. !
What’s the chord progression for this gem of a song?
From what I see it's Capo III: Am F C E
With 3rd finger variations.
Thank you!

But my english is not good enough to catch all the lyrics.
You’re completely correct :)
Also, he plays E7 after the E major
I have a big problem with this song... It's not long enough!
