It's time to say goodbye to the HOSIM X-07, but not without one last crazy speed run, and some slight personal injury.
The HOSIM X-07 has really been a blast, and for it's budget price it's also been a serious performer. The only noticeable flaw in the way it drives is the stock tires. The stock tires are very tall, and although they allow the X-07 to speed through grass effortlessly, they make it very difficult to control and keep the RC going straight on tarmac and concrete. But an aftermarket set of wheels easily fixes that issue.

The stock tires aren't very good, you'll see. They make it a bit clumsy.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. This is the most surprising car I've had on the channel so far. It exceeded its advertising and my expectations. You should see how it did at the skatepark. It took a serious beating and passed the durability test with flying colors.

I heated the stock wheelie bars on both the 07 and 9130 and just bent them down a bit... Helps a lot with the flipping issue
Yeah this wheelie bar seemed to act as more of a springboard.
Some awesome speed runs for a truck under $200 that’s 3S capable.
It really surprised me. It really is nearly as capable as a 3s arrma or something around that range. It's not quite as stable, not quite as high quality either, but for 200 you almost can't feel a difference. The gap in price is large but the gap in performance is small.
I am a owner of this car is complete garbage… You run this on three cell you be lucky if it lasts one outing. It will overheat the electronics can not handle it the list goes on… Sure you could probably film a couple runs like this video but that's about it. All the linkage that looks adjustable is all fake this car cannot be changed in any way it's just junk

The beginning of this video was scary. You need a 2nd roll bar affixed to the roof. That way instead of a willie it will back flip and keep on going. Very nice car my friend.
It really is an insane wheelie machine. It's also an effective tool for giving one's self a temporary limp hahahaha.

I always appreciate your kind words friend. You also raise a good point. With how fast many RC's are able to go, especially dedicated speed cars, and with how closely they rip past the driver and others, you'd think steel toe shoes would be standard equipment by now lol. I'm just glad it wasn't the much heavier and faster Senton I hit myself with hahahahaha. That would have shinned me so hard I would have cried.
@@Rek_Rc I'm just glad your ok. I think the worst danger are lipo batteries. I watched a video of a guy that tried to unplug a smoking lipo and as he was doing that it flamed up and burnt his hands. It's probably best to just let your car burn in that situation.

Great video man, love the content! I have to ask, did you do anything to the car to run 3s other than just shove a 3s battery in? My X07 constantly fries my servo as soon as I go 3s.
No, I just slapped in the 3s stock. I believe there were a couple differences between the earlier version and the more recent version of the X-07 though. I'm not sure if there is a difference in the ESC or servo or not, but I wonder if that may have something to do with it. I also noticed other reviews of the X-07 only running about 40 on 3s, but this one runs 46 or more consistently. So, I'm actually not sure myself. Might be an interesting topic to explore though.
@@Rek_Rc Yea I contacted Hosim about it, waiting for a response because I wasn't too pleased with their initial feedback which was something along the lines of just keeping it on 2s 👎

@@Rek_Rc Not even that...they just got back to me, let me ask you something, what was the spec on the 3s battery you used? They're now telling me that because my 3s battery is rated at 55c the discharge current is too high for the esc and servo, and that I should use a 3s that's below 25c...I don't remember seeing that stated anywhere in the manual, or heard anyone in any of the youtube vidoes mention that...sound like bull to me! And again, they didn't even offer to send a replacement servo.
@@SilentSassin that might be true actually, the ones I used were 35 and 45 C. I hadn't thought of that. I have an 80C but didn't run it in the X-07.
My servo took a crap the second day I used the car, any suggestions for a servo upgrade?

@@soflo_cini hmm, that's a bummer. I used 60 C 3s batteries on mine and never had issues.
What 3s battery model are you using would like to purchase it?
Any 3s with a deans connector will work. The one used in this video is actually slightly too large to fit the car comfortably. But any 3s below a 40C rating will work perfectly. Ovonic 2200 MAH 35C would be perfect for this RC. They are the perfect size for it

@@Rek_Rc really the only two cars I have speedrun are the wltoys and the Rlaalro the rest have been just stock or mild upgrades but we all got to start somewhere if I had the money I guess I might build a limitless or a infraction I don't know where I would run them if I did

That one was a 5200 mAh 3s 45c.
update from an actual owner… This car is toy grade … The electronics are just puke… The motor will overheat and melt. And don't try to drive it up and down the road the car so unstable it's useless. I want my money back I want to get away from this product I got sucked in by all the hype from all these UA-cam sponsors… Hey they're being paid so don't even watch these videos. Anyway thanks I know you don't own the car anymore and I want to get rid of mine
I bought the x08 and it's garbage. Bad all around diffs aren't sealed, you can't drive it in sand , water, snow, or Hell even on the asphalt. I'm currently trying to get a refund as well considering I've not bashed it jumped it or even really driven it enough for the 4 wheel drive to strip out and the rear diff to strip out completely. The rear tire ripped in less than 10 uses on grass and on the street. Its not worth 100 dollars let alone the 250 bucks you have to spend to get extra batteries and charger. Never again will I buy a hosim anything. They wanted to send me the same crap parts that went to shit in the first place and after 15 days of barely using it at all they're trying to give me 40 bucks and keep the car. Costomer service are rude, they make you wait almost a month to ship. Its horrible.

Yeah my X07 was engineered by a chimpanzee… These people on UA-cam are nothing but traders… Literally leading us to the slaughter. So many good reviews for something so terrible. And the funny part that's the giveaway some of the people giving reviews don't even know anything about the car Wilder talking… So there also chimpanzees… Sorry about your car I hope you get your money back. @@eliflynn7282 I didn't know what your car was I had to look it up mine was x07… it's the same car except yours has a truck body … I got mine from Amazon which had a return policy so it was easy… I blew my top and said enough is enough when they were using tapered screws heads to lockdown the transmissions in in the round plastic hole… So soon as you tighten it the tapered heads just splits the plastic open like butter… What idiots.… Everything that could be bad was bad with mine… 90% stupid engineering and 90% bad materials and quality… So 180% awful LOL where did you get yours you have to get your money back. So what if you used it mine was used and even modified… But Amazon's pretty good I just threw it all in a box said you can have it. I'm just hoping you get good luck who wants to waste money not us. Oh by the way I'm getting the rustler 4x4 VXL brushless is going to be awesome. 1000 times better but it will be about $700… Canadian funds

Ok does anyone know if I can put the duratrax six pack tires and wheels on this. I think they are 12mm hex.
If they are 12mn they'll fit but I wouldn't go larger than 2.8in diameter. What size are they?

@@bassman9699 is this video it was a 5200 mAh sypom but it was too big to really fit correctly. I'd say a 2200 or 3200 mAh 3s would be much better for that car.
