    In this age of Scheduled Obsolescence, who would expect a K Car to last 30 years? Definitely not me. Good Job!

    Great to see another one of these. We had one some years ago, and it was a great car. They had a good sounding stereo in them if you can get it going. Nice to see someone else appreciate these cars👍

    Good deal for the money .its the le model too .a little at a time .still better then a 500 dollar a month car payment for a car that probably won't last half as long good luck with it

    I learned to drive in a Dodge Dynasty. What a throwback. Ours had this annoying problem where if you moved the gear selector past drive into 3rd, it would get stuck. It was so annoying.

    If I remember correctly, the trunk release should be in the glove box but that might just be for the Chrysler New Yorker/Fifth Avenue/Imperial. I got it from watching the owner videos on UA-cam.

    I had one that looked identical to that one years ago. I broke the "D" and the "y" off the emblem so it just said "nasty". Very comfy cars. Mine only had 2nd gear and reverse though lol.

    I've got a 1993 in a beautiful blue with a black interior. Its got some dents and bad rust damage on the rockers, but the frame and underside is pretty rust free. It runs a little rough at times, but it hasn't let me down. I intend to fix her up and keep her as my daily. Its been in our family Its whole life. Too nostalgic to give up on.

    Get a multi meter and chase down the short or run a hard power wire and get the radio working

  • @medic8890
    @medic8890 5 місяців тому

    Put a multimeter on the battery and see what its drawing. Then keep it on and start pulling fuses, when you pull the correct fuse your reading should drop. Then you know which electrical system is causing your draw

  • @westelaudio943
    @westelaudio943 5 місяців тому

    Looks comfy af, lol.
    Disconnect the stereo and see if the short persists. If it does, it's somewhere between the radio and the fuseboard, (re-do the wiring) otherwise get the radio itself fixed. The battery discharging has nothing to do with it as the short will be somewhere down the line from the fusebox, and the fuse is blown. The battery itself might be done for? Obviously do not put in a bigger fuse, only ever put in the rated fuse or even a little lower could do just fine if it works right.

    Could you kindly replace the chime in this Dodge Dynasty with a scary buzzer from a 1991-97 Dodge Ram Truck?

    Unsure if this has the ultradrive auto trans. Had a 91 Plymouth Acclaim that went through 3 of them -- covered under Chrysler powertrain warranty back then. Aside from that overall a decent car as I am sure this Dynasty will be if given some tlc...Good luck!

      @@YankeeValleyOutdoors I’ve had it parked in a gravel lot since 2021. Ran and drove when parked, same colors and miles as yours, same rust at that time, probably worse now. I live in Florida and I’ll never bring the car down here, would rather give it to someone like you that appreciates it than junk it. You could take a truck and a Uhaul trailer and get it back to PA on a Saturday or something I reckon. If not no worries.

      What kind of scares me is we took the car out for a test drive after we changed the brakes and calipers. My dad says he hears a vibration when he shifts out of high gear. He thinks it might be the torque converter 🙃 It's going into the garage tonight! I guess that's something extra he'll have to look at.

      By doing the right trouble shooting. Disconnect the stereo and see if it itself is the problem or the wiring down the line from the fuse. Could theoretically also be a speaker or speaker wire but I don't think so.
