Chester, we miss you and love you.
_That we do_
RIP chester man. Toooo young
Agreed
Hybrid theory and Meteoria was soul fuel bro. Still is.
I was at this concert. Metallica, Limp Biscuit, Mudvayne, and Deftones also played. I had no idea at that time they would be turning it into a live album. I think Chester mentioned it during the show.
Everybody talks about Chester. Phenomenal singer, but Mike Shinoda gets overlooked. He may not be the best singer but that's not why he's in the band. The dude can rap really well.
Fort Minor's first album opens up Shinoda and LP history very well
bigmacgwire87 Chester was the one who made LP real. He was the one with the emotional pain and passion that made the lyrics so real.
Honestly the both of them are like two peas in a pod when it came down to music. When I hear Mike's songs on his solo album, you can sense the pain and frustration he was going through while recording Post Traumatic. I've always watched the old LPTV episodes back in the mid 2000s and had a first look on how awesome LP is as a group.
Mike gets overlooked because he is the one that is still alive
Mike is for sure one of my biggest influences.
3:39 that "go away..." from Mike just gave me goosebumps
2:01 When Chester went - I'm sick, sick, sick.. that shit gave me goosebumps
That is exactly why their live shows were better then the studio version
Hell yeah!
So did I get some..🤘🤘
(SIC) from Slipknot...
In general, the vocals he does while Mike's rapping are amazing
Whenever Chester comes in with those 'white-noise' high screams, it's an instant nostalgia trip back to 2000.
Umm...may I know what is that? xD I mean the white-noise
ҡẓ1 уυмι愛 I just mean those distorted high screams. Kinda sounds like white noise/static.
Think the eerie high pitched kinda screeching noise he does before he starts to scream louder, those sounds gave the good kind of goosebumps
Chester was a real expert in fry screams, that's what you're looking for...
That white noise is just a common effect of fry screaming. But yeah, there's very few people, if anybody, who can come close to Chester at screaming
You really really need to react to their whole hybrid theory album. You're missing sooooooo many good songs. Please!
you tell him Ricky, you tell him lol
@@Shadowz.Fun1 While he is at it. The first 3 albums. Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora. All amazing
@@itLEAKED yea, I wasn't to keen on the more poppy stuff they started to do, RIP Chester
Great album. With You live at docklands is the shit
A classic album Id say.
When a Linkin Park fan is born it's a beautiful thing. It should be filmed Everytime!!!
and a pain that you will not get new track....
@@campkira dude u wrote that literally after a track dropped week before
Too right. I had a tough upbringing and I remember my friend let me borrow hybrid theory and I listened to crawling and I locked my door and just cried. Leaning against the wall hearing “these wounds they will not heal” I related so much to that. It was liberating and chaotic at the same time because a band opened up what I truly felt. Then breaking Benjamin came into my life and just touched me in such a way that I just said “Thank you God I finally found the bands that finally relate to what I am going through.” So yea. Linking Park and Breaking Benjamin are my all time two favorite bands.
@@thehampster9618 Linkin Park!*
That is hilarious 😂
There is no debate. Chester the best screamer. The soul and energy in his scream is unreal.
I honestly can't decide between Chester n Corey Taylor, I like slipknot better, but man, what Chester did, how he used to go from these crushing screams to high note clean vocals... dude was an absolute beast and one that defined his era (sorry for bad english)
@@luisbertao7541 in my opinion they're both fucking amazing screamers but Corey sounds more demonic and deep compared to Chester because when he screams you can still hear that high note and at that point its just yelling
Chino? Deftones?
@@yomama6461 his screams were good but they weren't his biggest strengths.
Dude, no. Chad Grey of Mudvayne.
That was the one thing that made Linkin Park so unique was the combination of the screaming of Chester and the rapping of Mike Shinoda and the band will never be the same ever again...
Well, remember Biohazard. They did it even before but that was hardcore, yeah
I agree with you
That fry scream is legendary my lord
His fries were legendary and just as impressive he was doing them right and not shredding his vocal chords like I did (I'm an idiot)
04:05 Look his voice's transition, that what u call "PRO"
LEGEND*
Yeah, how can someone even do that.
Absolutely! and QWERTY is a great example of Chester's voice transitions as well. #MakeChesterProud
2:01 YOO, WHEN HE SAID "sick, sick, sick" THAT SHIT MADE ME FALL IN LOVE
It’s ironic, because he got sick a lot. Then I saw an interview on Loveline where he said he didn’t have the ability to vomit 😳
I heard he had a hiatal hernia. Maybe after the surgery he couldn’t do it?
Also fun fact. Brad still has that guitar. Ive seen a more recent performance where he was playing it. Its now all glued and tape together 🤣
Oh wow really? That's fucking awesome!!!
I was wondering what happend to that guitar when I saw it
is there a link? Im really interested
Michal Ulanowski I always wondered also. Just assumed Ibanez replaced and then I saw a live video with him playing a black Ibanez FRANKENSTIEN-ed back together and I was like “OH SHIT!!!!” I had so much more respect for him for still playing it
defaultpose I’ll try to see if I can find it. They have so many recorded live dvds now that its hard to remember
This song is nothing less than Chester performing an exorcism on himself.
Most probably
Lmaoooo hella accurate
I know that scream did not sound human. I hope he knows what it feels like to be in peace now. I really do.
😂😂😂
Definitely the best description of the song I've ever heard.
No one will ever complain that LP didn’t have stage energy.
What do you mean by that? They have it or not?
@@Emil-fv5mvhe definitely means they have good stage energy.
Almost three years, still hurt like hell.
RIP legend we'll see your next concert in heaven.
When YOUR TIME COMES..
Future Concert in Heaven... featuring Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell. You are both missed terribly 😢😢😢
🤘❤️
same reason why radiohead don't like play creep live.. spend too much time on negative and it just hurt like hell.. some study found that the pain is the same level with physical pain.. but you can not used drug to get over it..
People who commit suicide do not go to heaven.
Everybody be good, lets see who can get the ticket to Chesters next performance in heaven.
I think Chester was incredible. I think he'll be missed forever
His lyrics really made the people feel connected, Long live Linkin Park
2 late
the way mike and chester complements each other during the rap and the screams is so satisfying
One of their most underrated songs, imo.
I'll always miss Chester. Truly a great artist.
For sure. Definitely one of their heaviest live songs tho. Chester always tore it up!!
I fell off the LP bandwagon after A Thousand Suns, but I always loved Chester. His death hit me like a ton of bricks. I still can't believe he's gone.
Definitely one of Chester's best performances, you can visually see the power and pain he gave on stage
The live in Texas DVD is actually the first Linkin Park cd I got. When my parents werent home I used to pop the dvd in and completely blast it. Especially on this song I would go completely nuts, screaming along and headbanging like crazy. Because of this helped me get so much anger out of me and because of it I fell in love with the band. Now my band covers this song as a dedication to Chester
If you have a recording of your cover it'd be awesome to hear it
Same!!!
same here, the first ever cd/dvd i bought myself, forced my dad to play it in the car onway home
I remember listening "a place for my head" the live in Texas version specially and feeling so pumped and connected with the intense screaming Chester, the kind of music that makes someone feel understood and motivated to keep fighting and never give up, long love Chester Bennington, and Linkin Park!
Josh Holmes ua-cam.com/video/Ne7NYEncfkk/v-deo.html Yeah heres a link! Really hope we did it justice!
Linking park somewhere I belong.
Scott White 1 2 3 RAAAWWW!!!!!
Where the fuck have you Seen a g in linkin park ???
Thomas Etringer i had the same thought like you😂😂😂
"Leave Out All the Rest"
Chester's self-eulogy.
My fav song even before he pass now even more meaningful
The song I made my kids promise they would play at my funeral
I love how you refer to Chester in the present tence "he IS beyond talented and I LOVE him". Keep up the awesome work sir.
Linkin Park - "Faint" live at Rock am Ring 2007. You'll thank me later
simone bravo YESSSS
Fuck yes. The end of the song at this concert is something incredible.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssss, thiiiiiiisssssssssss plssssss
Outro of that fain rock am ring 2007= when a rockstar transforms to an opera singer.
Yaaaa.... 😎
One of my big regrets not seeing my Linkin Park considering I grew up listening to them
Paul Dean me too ☹️ Chester was my hero. He’s part of the reason I’m still here today. I really wish I could’ve met him or at least seen LP live 😔
Me too! If I could go back in time, THAT would be the one thing I would change.
This hits so deep. Same. So much.
Me too bro
The tour that they were gonna do when he passed was when I was gonna try to go to see them. 😭
There's a video of him performing "one more light" live & he's clearly saying goodbye but it's while he's on his knees & the crowd is wiping the sweat off his face. It brought me to tears because you know that's the final nail in the coffin
It was water.
Yep, I knew something was wrong, I felt it...and then the news....I cried, so deeply. It was then that we all felt his pain...
That one and the one where he performed it on Jimmy Kimmel for Chris Cornell. Did anyone feel a very powerful and unpleasant shiver down their spine? I couldn’t shake that feeling for hours.
It was a hard hit to lose Chester. He was an incredible artist and an even more incredible person.
Linkin park Breaking the habit should be next.
I'd love to hear him react to Breaking The Habit and follow it with Erasing The Gray by Flight Paths, which is a tribute to Linkin Park
YES
Favourite Linkin Park song right here.
Yes, at Live 8 2005
I agree breaking the habit is awesome
QWERTY live at 2006 supersonic - LINKIN PARK
Their last good song
Jack of all Trades lol hell no
Frenkie0902 agreed
He has to listen it! Absolutely! Fucking masterpiece!
“Go away, you tried to take the best of me” sent CHILLS
Thats what i say to anxiety and depression
Chester was truly a nice in a lifetime super talented singer/artist. Combined with Mike and the rest of the guys, untouchable. It's why they were and still are my favorite band. So relatable. And on a side note, I am eternally grateful that Mike chose to keep writing and singing/ rapping. Super talented and very underrated and under appreciated. RIP CHESTER you will be forever missed and as long as Mike keeps going you will always be remembered and rediscovered by future generations ❤💯
Linkin Park will always be the best band ever. Chester is an extraordinary singer. Too bad he's no longer with us. RIP Chester
Best band ever?

Linkin Park - Somewhere I Belong is definitely a must 👍👍
2020 still missing Chester, still heartbroken
2021 and still missing him
I'm a simple person:
I see a LP video,
I watch it,
I like it...
RIP Chazy Chazz... We miss you...
💔💔💔
Man, Live in Texas blew my mind when I was 15-16, that level of energy and quality live performance mesmerized me...
Now, 15 years later, this performance in particular still gives me goosebumps, as a rather seasoned metalhead that mainly listens to thrash, death & black metal.
Guilty pleasure, don't give a shit, I will always hold these guys in high regard as far as the quality of their music on the first 2 albums and their live energy.
RIP Chester. He died just 1 day before my birthday in 2017... and with him a special part of my childhood/teenagehood died as well. I felt it.
They're all legends plain and simple and will always be my #1 favorite band
No one will match his energy, his screaming, and his talent, EVER!!!
Chester I miss you more than I can even put into words. When I'm feeling down I see my tattoo out of the corner of my eye and know you're watching over me and telling me to cheer up buttercup or turn that frown upside down! Makes me smile everytime. Thank you for letting me love you all these years... #Makecheasterproud Till I hear you again... XoXo Staci.
I feel like an outcast as well. My own mental issues are unique and are not common. I feel like alone a lot of the time. Chesters voice gets me through a lot. He speaks volumes in his lyrics.
The performance of “One Step Closer” from Live In Texas is legendary
Its DJ rock am ring 2004
THE WHOLE Live in Texas,no?... it was legendary for us... we was so young :) and now...tomorrow the Hybrid Theory is going to be 20 years old!!!
I was at this concert. It was a festival type tour with Metallica, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Mudvayne, and Deftones.
Bill Braskey I would’ve only gone for LP, Deftones, and Mudvayne
Ross Trbojevic I only went for Metallica
Lucky!!!closest I got was buying the DVD package with Meteora, had to be an amazing show
Were you at the Dallas or Houston show? I saw them in Houston, went for Metallica but enjoyed all the bands. If you see red seat covers it’s in Houston and blue is in Dallas.
Summer Sanitarium tour?
I was there in Chicago!
Linkin Park’s song Nobody’s Listening has given me chills every time I’ve heard it since his death. U should check it out!
Tame Lamp That’s an awesome track, I remember it well back when I got into LP around 2001. It really fell between the cracks in terms of their more popular, “known” songs.
I haven't listened to it after his death. Will listen now!
Tried to give you warning But nobody's listening chester we listened but we still couldn't save you like you saved so many of us in this fucked up world 💔
Trueeeee that song was dope too
Chester's vocals was almost otherworldly
The song that relates to me the most is “given up”
Same, it's so fucking good.
Chester was my hero, dude. I was going through some issues with a close family member of my mine when I was really young, and LP's music was the only thing keeping me going. I still struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts to this day, but I have LP to thank for exposing me to this world of music that has quite literally saved my life. When Chester died, I truly felt as if a piece of me had died, because I grew up listening to his music on a daily basis. I can't help, but tear up whenever I hear a LP song now.
Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if you could please react to Versus Me- Heavy Breathing, because I've been suggesting them for more than a year and a half now. Love the reactions, bro! 🤘
OMG U LISTEN TO VERSUS ME TOO, LOVE THEIR SHIT, A(TENSION) OR HEAVY BREATHING ARE ONE OF MY FAVORITES
you are loved
My man you took the words straight out of my mouth. You're not alone brother. Thanks for sharing
Since their album "Amends" is being released later this year, you should react to Grey Daze (I recommend the song "Sometimes"). It was a band that Chester was in before the Linkin Park days and they were planning on having a reunion before he passed. The songs are really good and it is nice to hear Chester's voice, even if it was the original vocals they used years ago.
EVERY LINKIN PARK SONG IS ABOUT CHESTERS DEPRESION , having it myself , i totally relate to every song .
R.I.P. Chester 😥
Scott White What a great loss of a nice guy and voice.
You can hear the emotion with this song it's as if he's referring to a toxic person or his depression or both
Chester sang all those 🎶 notes from his lungs & stomach - “your right he is beyond talented” 💯 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔many have imitated none have duplicated 💯💯💯💯
We've seen imitators, and duplicators, but he is the originator
@@LunarSault23 you are absolutely right !!
Even when he isn’t rapping, shinoda sounds like he’s rapping
I love the inability to pause man. That's how i am every time i listen to Linkin Park. Chester leaving us was one of the worst things to happen to music. I'm gunna steal another guys quote with "sang like an angel, screamed like a demon" and the dude was amazing. Grew up on them and never stopped listening.
Separate note, I don't normally make requests nor do i anticipate you even seeing this, but: Wage War - Who I Am. I'd buy out the merch store to see that reaction haha.
NINE LASHES - ANTHEM OF LONELY
Yes
Definitely
Nine Lashes is very underrated; great band.
Up
Thats a very good song and very special for me so i would love to see his reaction to it :D
That note at 4:53 gets me every time. I loved your reaction to it. RIP Chester
LOVED them already before. But this is the moment, Chester turned from a spectacular singer to a legend. Never saw anything again even being beyond pure intensity.
You gotta react to Linkin Park - "Breaking The habit" my dude, such a great and emotional song!
But i love more from the inside song from meteora album and the masterpiece numb song is so old and emotional song...😎🤗
Chester himself said this was his favorite.
3:59 - I always love how Chester screams that "You!" so wildly that technique went completely out the window and that his voice had a little give out there 😅🤘
Chester's crazy high energy and Stupid Sick vocals were simply mind-blowing 🤯
thing i think i love most about Chester's screaming, is the transition between screaming and singing. It's so smooth, so instant, like flicking a switch. He was so amazingly talented.
There will never be anyone as good as Chester was, his voice was amazing and his scream was iconic, my favorite musician for a reason 🤘
i just loved this reaction, i can't uderstand how there's people who react to that without moving a single muscle or making a facial expression
It is possible to feel alone in a crowded room. Trust me I know.
I'm a simple girl, I see Linkin Park, I click 💆🏽✋🏽 R.I.P. to our angle Chester 💔😭
RED - Evening Hate...or any songs on their new album: Declaration
August Burns Red- Defender or Blood Letter
Clint Brooks is their new album really good?? I need to listen
@@saltypepper8514 Declaration? I listened to it twice back-to-back, at first I was skeptical, but when I listened to it a second time I liked it more. I'd give it a 8/10...and RED is my No. 2 favorite band of all time behind Breaking Benjamin.
The new ABR album, Guardians, is awesome though. I liked every song, and that's rare that I liked every song in an entire album, lol.
@@clintbrooks7753 bro you got a sick top 2. I couldn't agree more with them
Clint Brooks hell yea I gotta dig deeper into them, I’m loving infidel from declaration 🥵
Evening hate, the bridge is so heavy
Alex + Linkin Park reaction = Corona cure...
Alex, I absolutely love watching your reaction videos. Chester Bennington was absolutely phenomenal to me. I agree with you on him being the best screamer out there. He is so missed by many. I thank you for doing these reaction videos on Linkin Park. I relate to all of the songs. Some of them hit home with me. This one especially!
Chester is hands down one of the best vocalist
Each like equals another linkin park reaction alex has to do lol
Dont let anybody throw shade at you.
His screams are the most unique , nobody can replicate it. But as for the range and various types of screams , obviously the heavier genres vocalists take the cake. But Chester was absolutely amazing , my favourite and always will be.
IT STILL GIVES THE GOOSEBUMPS
You should do 2 reactions per band instead of 1 so you can get a better taste of how the band is overall.
Hes reavtedto Linkin Park and many others multiple times
I mean In a row cause theres many bands he went to only once and never came back to. After the initial 2 songs he can just do one each after.
Chester gives me whole body goosebumps. Love his voices! RIP to such an amazing artist.
The song is actually about how he was molested as a child and all that he wanted a place for his head
You can see how he lived the song
Imo this is one of my fav live dvds all time
Where u hear that?
All LP lyrics were about people they knew or the world around Them... Except Crawling...I suspect that was written introspectively about Chester and his early life and Ice Addiction in younger years..
Also maybe Breaking the Habit written the same way...
Think about the lyrics..."I don't know how I got this way -
I know it's not alright....
I'm Breakking the Hab-bit... yeah I'm Break-king the Hab-bit To-Night!"
Daniel Cooke they talked about this many times. Also a song can have more than one meaning
I will NEVER forget CB. He's so real, deep and masterful.
Do you still consider yourself a HIP-HOP Head after all of these reactions?
after listen one metal song you never will be a hiphop head again...^^
But Linkin Park was a rap band at the same time 💁♀️

The word alive - Life Cycles
YES! This is such an amazing song.
Linkin Park was the first band I ever liked that utilized Screaming. Now, I rarely listen to bands who don't scream. Even the band's with female lead singers that I listen to, the girls scream.
5:11 Chester is owning again using a middle finger at haters.
Brad throwing the guitar at the ground on the stage then Chester owns the guitar and smash it.
He's very angry and scolding the guitar like his parents did.
He is not showing to crowd he used to do it in every live performance
I love how Phoenix almost faceplants at the end. X’D
Grey daze - what’s in the eye?
We Indians are some most unfortunate bunch of people, Linkin Park never performed in India :(
We miss you Chester.
LP has been my favorite band since 2000, and I absolutely adored your reaction to this.
Chester i love you....how is heaven my man..hope you are doing well...😥
Dude, check out Given up performed in the AOL sessions! Chester did a perfect 17 seconds scream!!!
He already saw that
I was fortunate enough to be able to see them in concert, and they sounded EXACTLY like their cd when live. Incredible talent.
Usually I come on here to watch your reaction to songs and videos I've already heard and seen. I am a huge LP fan. They saved my life. Yet I have never heard or watched this love version of my favorite song by them. Thank you for being the reason it was introduced to me. He's amazing. And I love your channel!!
Ever see Linkin Park collab with Jay Z? THat was awesome. Also, Hold your breath, drink a drink slowly, and count to 10 in your head all at the same time, and your hiccups should go away.
When I was young I always wished that Chester would start a side metalcore project where he just screamed, he was so good 🤘 RIP
Dude ! You always say the most positive things and I love your videos for this reason. I love metal music but I respect most genres. The whole vibe of your content is so healthy for the music community !
I've watched this so many times but watching your reaction to it makes it even better , love this ! Get chills when he screams go away!!! God so sorry never got to see them live , thank God we can always come back and revisit this awesome performance . RIP Chester

Houston native here. Will always support Alex.
This one of my fav. LP songs.
I was there..never forget it.. it was Metallica, Mudvayne, Deftones, Lincoln park, Limp Bizkit and others .. it was hot as hell though.. 💙
Jonathan Davis from Korn is also a really good screamer.
I recommended listening to good god or break some off, if you want some really good screams and vocals
I heard this song for the first time when i was only 11, it was on my elder sister's mp4 player. It was my first time ever listening to a metal subgenre. Now I'm 18 and I'm a complete metalhead :') thanks to this song. \m/
In the same boat but now I'm 27.
Chester understood his voice as being an instrument. He didn't blow out his vocal chords doing his craft the wrong way. He understood air compression and he used it better than anyone else on this planet. I believe had he survived his voice would have never faltered. He knew what he was doing and no one past, present or future will ever compare to his natural talent. To go from screams to singing is not an easy thing to do. And he did it flawlessly. I can care less who disagrees, multiple singing coaches will agree, he was beyond anyone else on this earth. RIP Chester Bennington. Your life was hard but your talent was golden.. I miss you. We all do. And always will. We shared the same birthday, except he was born in 76 and I in 80. Always felt a kinship. The music LP created never made me feel anything but absolute connection and it was like they were speaking from my very soul. Seeing them 3 times, the best one was at House of Blues. Coheed and Cambria opened for them, another fav band. And I caught a drum stick at the end of LP set. House of Blues is a small venue and it was so intimate. It was a dream come true.
I am 61 years old now, but I can say that I saw LP live back in 2008 in London, Ontario. They are still my fave band :)
