Thanks Jonny...!! It was nice to use the patch bay to and sequencer to modulate the sounds so much... I learned a fair bit from doing this and making notes on it... I can highly recommend the Neutron for its awesomness or the Minibrute 2 just as a monster.... The Neutron is a much stronger synth though imo

@@AragonDubs I honestly don't know..? Sorry..! Because the Crave only has a tempo knob and no visible tempo clock I'm not sure..? Its possible that it could send Tx (start/stop) messages with settings in the synthtool software but its not something I've ever seen?

Thats so cool, in your opinion what is a good reference for understanding cv connectivity for beginners, i have a few pieces of gear that id like to start prodding and connecting but im worried ill muck something up...is there anything i should be aware of or more specifically not do?
Hey Zenghost! Check the video I did on the patchbay for the Mother-32... just remember that with Semi-Modular any patching in BREAKS the normalised internal routing, and try not connect two OUTS together to save over-powering... what do you have?
Just bought one and the amount of stuff you can do with just 1 single oscillator is astounding. Plus all the patch routing is the same as a Mother 32. I highly recommend!

@@Studio-solutions-com Yeah, even the cables are expensive! I know what you mean. Another idea would be to open up the camera angle a bit so that we can see all of the cable. In this video, the top is cut off so I can't follow a cable from start to finish because they disappear at the top.... Please keep up the nice work - it's been a great help!

I don't know why, I can not save sequences. I push rec to record some sounds. Then shift with play/Stop (same time). I select pattern 1 (green led). Then pattern and shift bank. Why not? I forgot a step? Or something else?
Hold Shift and Play for 2 seconds until the current pattern slowly flashes green. Press Step number 1-8 to select the new pattern location. Press Pattern +Step number to choose Bank. Press Shift+Rec to save and exit save mode... Give that a whirl... Let me know how it goes..?
@@Studio-solutions-com I have the problem, not to save, but to delete a sequence. I use the shift+del+pattern. It deletes it, but when I go to another pattern and return to the pattern I've just erased... it has come back.

I'm glad you had fun with it..!!! To save a sequence hold down shift and play/stop. Select pattern, then bank, hit shift and record and it will save the sequence in whatever you selected. There are 4 banks and 16 pattern slots in each bank. Let me know if this helps?

It's not without its limits obviously for a mono synth but this patch opens up a tonne of other potential possibilities for getting some cool sounds and features out of it..!

To have those kind of sound and get the midi sync, I used to trigger my simmons sd8 module with roland tr707. Now I need less cables and less ac adpaters to warm up. :)
Just stick it in a vice and give it a whack with a mallet. That's how they do it at the moog factory, but with these cheap knock-offs they cut all the corners they can. (No, do not try this at home)
Not sure everyone knows what polyphonic means. THIS is far away from it. But anyways it's a really nice patch! Great sounds from this little single synth.
just some constructive criticism but you GOTTA add a noise gate/reducer or something to eliminate the incredibly loud/distracting/disgusting (for people like me) smacking of your lips every couple sentences
Yeah, I used to stress about it, would spend ages chopping peaks and pops out of audio... to the point of wrecking it totally, then listened to so many others who just keep it in and pretty much started trying to ignore it... wet mouth sounds are a pain, I agree!

It's pretty much my go to bass machine now Daren, I own a Mother-32 but still find the crave a thousand times more intuitive..!
everbody who wants to start with synths/modular weather expirienced or not should have a crave. It´s very flexibel, usable and 100% fun.

so crave is not only a mono synth, a semi modular synth, a sequencer... but also a drum machine ^^

LOOOOL Body of your synth is also curved as on mine too. So I need always to put some shit under it to fix

Lol... Audio from the Crave itself was recorded directly into Audacity, I used the Zoom Q2N to shoot this then mixed the audio in Premiere Pro.
