I had no idea these puzzles existed, and I'm definitely looking at buying one. The Master Sword puzzle would be a badass display piece as well. Are you planning on trying any of the Zelda games if you're the kind of person who likes video games?
I think you may have gotten lucky on the vertical spin of tri-force. It definitely can work but is finicky and requires a smooth surface; that seems a little less "clean" than most of the solutions I have seen for hanayama cast puzzles. Mostly what has me wondering if there is a more reliable solution is how the pair of slots on each of the 3 outer pieces are different. Each piece has one slot that is a single oval, and another slot that has two locations for the pin. This is why spinning it on it's back allows the puzzle to pull apart a little but not on the other side. The asymetry of design seems like it should be significant. If vertical spinning or gentle tilting was the solution none of the slots would need to be oblong and the slots could all have been made as single pinhole. I can't recall any similar "red herrings" like the back-spin allowing it to pull apart slightly being built into other Hanayama puzzles I have had so far. NEWS has opposing lock pins but also a specific motion for being able to retract both sets of pins without a dexterity component. That said, I haven't figured out a better way than "getting lucky" with how the opposing pins retract yet.
How can you not know of thr existence of one of the greatest video game series ever created? It also hurts that hes calling the triforce a triangle lol
@@360dom360 I don't play video games now. My son tried legend of Zelda but he didn't like it. We had a lot of fun playing Luigi's Mansion 3 with my son recently
If he lives in a different country it's highly possible it just doesn't have the same popularity that it does in other areas, I originally thought it just wasn't available to him at all until he mentioned his son trying it.
@@Puzzleguythe series has tried many different formulas throughout the years, I totally understand if your son didn't get into it though there are tons of other games in the series with different styles if you're wanting to check any of them out, my personal favorite is Twilight Princess, which is probably one of the darker games in the legend of Zelda series, unfortunately it hasn't been remade for newer consoles. I'm sorry to ramble 😅 I just really love the series.

When I was solving these, I found the Crest to be the trickiest. Not because it's more difficult than the others, but because I find it hard to look and manipulate the silver chain. LOL
@@PuzzleguyYeah. How could you even know what it’s called? I was a bit bugged cause I played the games but I also understand you are just being genuine
Hanayama puzzles aren't just puzzles, they're also works of art!

I've been waiting for this to come out.

@@Puzzleguy that’s awesome happy early birthday to your father 🥳
Aren't you afraid to buy goods from Russians?
Him calling it a triangle is killing me.
Super cool!!

The game has harder puzzles than these
Agreed
To be fair, the games have had pretty hard puzzles every now and then. I still have flashbacks to the statue puzzle in the Sacred Grove in TP...
@@GarryDumblowskii remember couple shrines in BotW on top of the highest mountain, they still give me nightmares
ive watched my brother and other people play the games and i can kinda confirm from memory
One would have to be living under a rock for the last thirty-five years to have never heard of the Legend of Zelda franchise
I guess it's not as popular among me 😁
Bro to say its not as popular is wild
So cool, thank you for sharing😲😃👍🏻✨

I'm almost 41 years old. Is it a good reason? 🤣
The original came out in 1986 and was a pretty big deal
Do you play any video games? If so, I'd recommend trying the series

The chain is tricky and hard to control. Similar string puzzles are much easier to solve.
❤ U puzzle guy
did him calling the triforce a triangle bug anyone else
It's like someone calling the holy cross a "tall plus sign."
Sorry, but as I mentioned I had no idea the legend of Zelda exists until recently. I was interested in puzzle aspect only.
