Internut lemme just hire a couple thousand Korean actors to film a vice documentary real quick, that’s a great idea. They would let you bring cameras in, just check it when you’re leaving, which isn’t that difficult to get around.
Read all the comments about the tea girl, waited till 17:50 for her section, couldnt wait to see what everyone was talking about. 3 minutes later, as she waved goodbye, knowing that was probably the last excitement she would feel for a year, I realised I would spend the rest of my life wondering if she was OK. #SaveTeaGirl2021
Dude!!!! I came back to watch this years later because the videos they make these days are ... the less said the better. I miss this kind of content from them.
I feel so sorry for PunYunChi ;3; poor girl all alone for months on end, I could see why she gets so excited when she receives any form of human interaction. That kind of desolation could make anyone go insane, it's a wonder she's managed to stay this strong for that long.
Yeah I really feel pitty for her. It's sad to see someone innocent victimized by some psychopath. She probably doesn't know any better. I'd sneak her out (if I could without getting killed) and claim refugee on her behalf in Canada or USA. Give her a shot in life.
Wren Tamayo why don’t we just get Logan Paul to go there, I’m sure they would really be careless and “not concentrate on his shit”- meaning they will throw him into a concentration camp
My point is that the whole country is pretty much like a prison. The people are kept there against their own will, as many of them are forced to work in labor camps. 24 million people.
Yes, they are indoctrinated from birth to hate America and worship their leaders like gods. Like you said, I'm sure they don't even know that they live in such horrible conditions because of their little knowledge of the outside world.
Max Power yep bet i would be really traumatic if all of a sudden america for no real reason since decided to wipe out korea and free the surviving people
I hope the Tea Girl is still living and safe today. Seeing her waving is a very sweet yet sad moment. If she's still living up to this day, I hope she can survive and escape NoKor. But if she's dead now, I'd be out of words.
cuddlykittehs you'd assume such, but the massive cult of personality that's going on out there means that while the older generations who remember their South Korean brethren might be faking it for survival, the youngsters absolutely aren't.
Economically they are one of the last communist countries. people are not paid in currency but in rations, success isn't measured by profit but by hitting production goals for the month/year

Shane has huge balls for going to this place. I wouldn't ever think that an American could ever return from North Korea let alone travel and film video there... You sir, have quite an experience to put on your resume.
I know right. It's like a modern damsel in distress situation except the dragon is the authoritative government and instead of blowing fire it shoots bullets. There is no night in shining armor however. There are only customers.
Genuinely felt tearful at everyone's favorite tea girl. Truly depressing images from inside this country. It hopefully serves as a thoughtful reminder that no one holds contempt for the North Korean people; they are prisoners within their borders. The regime is detestable and must end.
the music at minute 18:00 when he was showing how there is nothing there, made me feel something inside and cry for the people, how much they are missing out in the world. I am speaking from Lebanon, probably not the best place in the planet right now lol but i feel blessed compared to the people of NK. I also felt the tea girl, she wanted to be friends with him and she was so excited.... i hope she is well
One death is a tragedy and a million is just a number. There are literally millions who are like that tea girl that you will never hear or see. So sad.

"The Tea Girl" chapter is kind of heart breaking. She's so excited to see the first human being she's seen in month, and absolutely enjoys every second of time with the Vice tourists like each second is worth her entire supply of tea in gold.
Wtf are you talking about? They clearly say in the video that you are allowed to bring basic point and shoot cameras into the country. They further expand on this and say that what ISNT allowed are more sophisticated cameras and recording devices. So you ARE allowed to bring basic electronics (cameras) into the country. You obviously didn't even watch the whole video kiddo.
I feel bad for Pun-Yun-Chi, she must be so lonely having to be there with barely anyone interact with for so long. She’s very lovely and sweet too; I’d totally buy some tea from her.
Is so sad to see people wasting their lives in a circus created by a psychopath, it really makes me sad and very angry. Hence every citizen should own a gun, to not have to undergo this situation. I'll never let anybody put me in this situation. N E V E R
You wouldn't know it was happening to you. From your first cry, you are fed all this propaganda that the Kims are gods, America is evil, North Korea is supreme and all sorts. 3 minutes later, as she waved goodbye, knowing that was probably the last excitement she would feel for a year, I realised I would spend the rest of my life wondering if she was OK.

I feel so sorry for PunYunChi ;3; poor girl all alone for months on end, I could see why she gets so excited when she receives any form of human interaction. That kind of desolation could make anyone go insane, it's a wonder she's managed to stay this strong for that long.
I would see her when I or if I go to North Korea.
Yeah I really feel pitty for her. It's sad to see someone innocent victimized by some psychopath. She probably doesn't know any better. I'd sneak her out (if I could without getting killed) and claim refugee on her behalf in Canada or USA. Give her a shot in life.
***** You, I like you

20 bucks, I wanna see you act like Logan Paul in North Korea.
Wren Tamayo kek
Wren Tamayo why don’t we just get Logan Paul to go there, I’m sure they would really be careless and “not concentrate on his shit”- meaning they will throw him into a concentration camp
TheRealFaZeMonster 722 He is gonna end up like that dude who stole a propaganda poster.
Reeva Villanueva probably North Korea hates Logan Paul. They would execute him with an anti aircraft weapon
Reeva Villanueva As much as I hate Logan Paul, that’s be awful in all seriousness. Poor Otto Warmbier.
I think North Korea is both a fascinating and tragic country. It may well be the world's largest prison.
Interestingly enough, the US is actually the worlds largest prison, since it has the largest incarceration rate in the world
My point is that the whole country is pretty much like a prison.
Max Power yep bet i would be really traumatic if all of a sudden america for no real reason since decided to wipe out korea and free the surviving people
i dont even think that they protected any Human Rights there. such a sad fate for the people dont you think?
I like how you filmed the exact spot where the two leaders would one day meet and shake hands.
I hope the Tea Girl is still living and safe today. Seeing her waving is a very sweet yet sad moment. If she's still living up to this day, I hope she can survive and escape NoKor. But if she's dead now, I'd be out of words.
save the tea girl !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cuddlykittehs you'd assume such, but the massive cult of personality that's going on out there means that while the older generations who remember their South Korean brethren might be faking it for survival, the youngsters absolutely aren't.
Yeah, Let's go Malaysia! Our priority is to save the Tea Girl, we can do this!

Is so sad to see people wasting their lives in a circus created by a psychopath, it really makes me sad and very angry. Hence every citizen should own a gun, to not have to undergo this situation. I'll never let anybody put me in this situation. N E V E R
Provided you know what kinda situation you are in in the first place. People you see in this video do not.
wtf?? It's not like they woke up one day and chose to live in North Korea. Generations of lives start and end there and that's all they know
You wouldn't know it was happening to you. From your first cry, you are fed all this propaganda that the Kims are gods, America is evil, North Korea is supreme and all sorts. So if and when north Korea is liberated, it will take years for the people to de programme so they will think they are being invaded.
Better is join legion and complete tasks for money...
