my first job as a nurse was on a step-down unit and then after a year I moved to the Trauma ICU and the learning curve was crazyyy it's humbling, but you will be just fine! Just ask all the questions and absorb as much as you can on orientation, the fun and scary thing about the ICU is that truly you're learning everyday and will see new things constantly. Always trust your nursing gut and quickly find people you can trust for help whenever you need it. You'll be amazing! The ICU is tough, but getting to help people at their most vulnerable is extremely fulfilling

So amazing that you’re doing PICU !!! I’m a 23 yr old that does sub q IVIG at home now. But I used to do it at the hospital, the nurses were always so amazing!

anna!! for sweet potatoes- get the ones at trader joes that are in the frozen section, you warm them in a skillet and theyre mashed sweet potatoes!! its so much easier than roasting them lol

Just saw you forgetting about your lights on the balcony… you can get a plug device (I use Philips Hue plugs) and can set them on a schedule so they turn on at sundown and off at sunrise or can be Google or Alexa operated.
