I am grateful for watching your videos on the camera before I bought mine. I think someone else put on the other video a similar comment about not knowing the lid would be open when using the camera. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
The camera is pointing down and to the center with the lid opened. There's simply not enough clearance to mount to have a view of the entire bed with the lid closed. This is also not possible because the camera would need to have an extremely wide field of view which isn't feasible.
My apologies if I missed it, but does the camera USB plug into the laser on the board somewhere, or do you run it out of your laser and plug it directly into your laptop? We access our laser over Ethernet so we can send jobs from multiple computers. I'm looking for a camera solution that won't be limited to a single workstation. Thank you for the videos!

thanks for this video dave
Do you think its posible to use a camera with any laser including the must smaller tabletop lasers ?
Subbed, Regards Rick
The main key here is the lightburn software. A k40 by default doesn’t support lightburn unless the controller is upgraded.
I may have missed it, but why is the lid open when calibrating the camera? Should it not be closed for proper line of sight?

The camera connects via USB to the computer.
