I’m gearing, more towards the 2020 E450 class for my wife. But I absolutely liked your excellent review. I first purchased an E class for my wife back in 1990. It’s overdue for a luxury ride like the E450.
Honestly you have a point there just best value is the E class especially if you get the E 450 and spec it with a designio interior you get nappa leather and diamond quilted stitching everywhere for way less👌🏻
James Salvatore yes I agree when I bought my E class it was next to the S class but loaded very similar. The 50-60k ain’t worth the 6-7 inches of room in the back and I was still able to chauffeur in it.
A great review. I freakin love my E 350. It's definitely worth every penny. I'm still discovering new things about it too. My one and really petty complaint are that driving in South Texas, my 350 came with seat warmers instead of seat coolers. Seat coolers for year-round South Texas scorching heat would have been soooooooo much more practical.
Hii James, I am from India and first of all you have done a very good job. Thank you for the nice vedio and a very neat presentation. I loved it. It's a very good car. And I am looking for diesel version of the same E350 since yet to Launch.
Thank you a lot of time goes into putting these videos together so I'm glad to hear it's making a difference, and it's cool that I'm even reaching different countries👌🏻
What year is your E350 unless it is tuned the 2014-2016 E350 4matic makes 302HP the E400 makes 329 Hp the 2020 E350 is just a rebadged E300 it makes 255hp same engine found in the C300
Hey James, nice video, it seems you really know what you are talking about. One request, can you make a video comparing the 2020 E350 model with the 2017 E300? You can save some $25,000 dollars if you can get a low mileage car (like less than 20k miles). I do not see a lot of differences but would like to know your opinion. Thanks.
Thank you I appreciate that! I'll see what I can do to get my hands on one but at first glance having driven a 2017 version not much has changed the 2017 is a great value to buy right now. With the introduction of the E 53 AMG Mercedes changed the naming it's basically the same. 2017 E 300 has the same motor as the new 350 and the E400 of 2017 that had the v6 is now the E 450, and the 2017 e43 is now the 53 I feel like they just changed their branding strategy to help differentiate models better.
If you can find a 300 off a lease I recommend you get one it's a great car and it won't feel outdated in years to come as long as you find one with the dual 12.3 inch screens and make sure that it has apple carplay this way your infotainment system is always updating.
@@JamesSalvatore Actually I just got a 2017 E300 with only 13,400 miles, I think it was a very good purchase (saved like 25k dollars compared with a new model). It has the premium package, AMG sport style, parking assistance, and a lot of things, one thing it does not have is the front camera and the dual 12.3 display, but I can live with that :). It has the Android and Apple play and it works great.
I recently leased the 2019 E300...how is the 2020 E350 different? The body and the interior pretty much seems the same, but are there any upgrades from the 2019 to the 2020 E-Class model?
There really isn't significant changes to the 2020 model they didn't even add the new MBUX infotainment system. They primarily just rebranded the E Class lineup with the introduction of the E 53 AMG, the previous E300 is now the E350 the previous E400 is now the E450 the E 43 AMG is now the E53 AMG. So just rebranding and options packaging differences you didn't miss out on anything significant👌🏻
Probably either a facelift or complete redesign. There was a complete redesign in 2017 so it's halfway through the typical 6 year body style life cycle
@@JamesSalvatore I can forgive the catfish/ shark nose-what I CANNOT accept is a 2021 E63 AMG being in reality fitted with a puny hybrid 4 cylinder motor. I much prefer truth in advertising--that is an ‘E63' should have a massive V8 and an ‘E350’ needs its purring, sophisticated, under-stressed, high-power/ litre V6. Both these iconic models are now dead and will be produced with highly-stressed, blown 4-cylinder ‘power’ plants… very sad to witness such a turn of events when fuel cost is the very least of expenses in owning a MB and those mighty engines ARE the stuff of legends...
I’ve had it a month now. The 4 cylinder is definitely adequate. I was pleasantly surprised. I like fast acceleration. This is my second e class. You can only go so fast on public roads. I was getting on the freeway yesterday. I hit 75 by the time I merged with traffic ... that was going 70. And I was not pushing it. I find it enjoyably quick. I’m really surprised it only has 4 cylinders. Salesman advised me to save my money and forego the bigger engine. No regrets.
In truth the E350 model debuted around February 2005 as an update to the W211 E320. The W211 E350 came with a superb, naturally aspirated, all aluminium, quad cam, V6 3.5L petrol engine-designated the M272. It is under stressed and powerful, producing just on 270 BHP at 6000 rpm and 350 Nm between 2600 and 5000 rpm. The E350d's motor is a turbo-diesel, with which you’re likely more familiar than I. Not sure but it may have debuted in the W212 chassis?
so the new C class, the new A class and the new GLE/GLS class has the new interior design and the new infotainment system, but not the E class ? How come? the E class is more expensive than both A and C
Thank you, it's tough to find a balance I noticed when I make the videos longer in my analytics people click off the videos and then youtube burries them.
I just had one for two days as a loaner and I really wanted to like it but I didn’t. Why do you think Mercedes changed the name from an E300 to an E350? They figure a bunch of people will think this thing is a six cylinder like the old ones.
It should be called an e200 with 4 cylinder underpowered mouse engine running on premium fuel , have to pay extra for leather faced seats , suspension could be better over bumps , if you want a 6 cylinder you pay alot more and you have to get the less than reliable 4 matic As unreliable as BMW's are I would rather get a 5 series
As a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast of over 25 years standing I WANT MY E350 to have a lovely, way under-stressed, highest-tech, real V6 motor producing just under 300BHP. I DON’T EVER want to find an overstressed and hyper-strained garden variety FOUR-CYLINDER with force fed ram induction via whatever method under my bonnet. This is anathema to true fans of the marque! It is also misleading, deceptive marketing to call the car reviewed an E350. The terminology of ‘E350’ is understood by us enthusiasts (who helped MB become what it is today!) as being an E-Class with a 3.5L V6… this new false labelling move is appalling. The reviewed vehicle is in reality a poor 4-cylinder E200 that’s being forced to output far more power than is reasonable for its longevity. The customer can worry about longevity ramifications and expensive repairs down the track…by that time MB has reaped the dubious rewards of what ‘great’ fuel economy the little engine can manage… As a long-term Benz owner I know from experience that fuel cost is the LEAST expensive aspect of owning a MB. Long live the real, old-school E350, E500, E55 & E63 AMG :-)

how does it behave on corners? anyone ?
police sirens blasting!!!!!
I don't get why they didn't include the MBUX system in this. All other 2020 Mercs have it
I think it's just later in the refresh cycle it should have been prolly next year's mode will have it

Joe Kolinger fair enough. Saving money while still getting all the luxury is a smart choice.
I had a 2004 lincoln ls with 280 horse power. I think a car of that size needs at least 300 hp. Especially today.
Yeah I agree they make a more powerful version however I think they make a 4 cylinder version for people that just don't care
I thought the E350 was a 3 litre V6 twin turbo diesel, that's what ours is, here in the UK?
