Was Goldberg treated fairly during his first WWE run? Let us know in the comments below!
Yes
I mean did he win the WWE championship or whatever it was
Screw moldturd
You never lost cleanly, you lost 1 feud your entire first run. You became world champion, the revisionist history is wild.
How does Goldberg saying he felt like he wasn't well liked in 2003 revisionist history? That's his experience. And considering history tells us WCW guys were not welcome with open arms & majority were buried (DDP, Kanyon, Awesome, Bagwell, Kronik, nWo, Steiner, etc.) it's not hard to believe. Jim Ross acknowledged the creative problems with Goldberg in a June 2003, interview with Michael Landsberg, admitting that the company had made a mistake by adding humour to Goldberg s character & that in hindsight it was a mistake that they attempted to reinvent Goldberg. Also in June 2003, Linda McMahon buried Goldberg when she referred to his run with the company so far as disappointing during company investor conference. According to PWTorch at the time, WWE officials sold themselves to Goldberg by making promises of a better working environment than he had in WCW. He was assured that he wouldn't t have to worry about the political backstabbing and creative mishaps he encountered while working for WCW. Yet Goldberg entered WWE at a time when company officials were simply lying to themselves about the working conditions. Business was down, the locker rooms of both brands were miserable, and the political games taking place were at an all-time high. WWE also got all pissy with Goldberg also when they asked him to work more dates then his contract required & refused. This upset WWE so they tried to write next TV in a way that seemed to spite Goldberg & he again refused.
@@nWoWolfpacTV2016 I’m saying that due to fans revising history also, and I’m not reading all that sorry bro.
@@nWoWolfpacTV2016I like how WCW fanboys think kanyon and all the other guys were supposed to be the next big things. I like how you look over WWE putting WCW talent countless of times, Benoit, Guerrero, Foley, Booker T, Jericho.
@@nWoWolfpacTV2016 Goldberg in his debut match went over the Rock clean. Let that sink in.
@@bloodinbloodout Love how you are claiming I said something I never said. At no point did I say Kanyon was the next big thing. I said he got buried. I also like how you mention Jericho & Booker T who are both on record saying the WWE/WCW feud was real and they were NOT welcomed in WWE with open arms just like I said. I mean I thought this was common knowledge among informed pro wrestling fans but I guess you're not informed & since you're still at an elementary level maybe for starters read Chris Jericho's book about what it was like for him when he first joined WWE in 1999. And Booker T? LOL go back & watch... he was made to look INFERIOR to WWF talent. Why? Vince was never gonna allow a WCW guy to be better than a WWF guys. Booker T couldn't beat The Rock at SummerSlam 2001 (when he needed to be established with WWF audience). Hell Booker T couldn't even beat The Undertaker on the No Mercy 2001 undercard. Then he fucked around in midcard throughout 2002 until 2003 when he had a programme with Triple H and we all know how that panned out.
"The cutthroat part of it is that professional wrestling has no union. There are a number of people that are taken advantage of on a daily basis." - Bill Goldberg
Sums it up pretty much
Men created their own wrestling gangs organically and watched their brother's backs. Crybabies like Goldberg who'd only lookout for themselves think this isn't fair
He's right.
With zero experience (while getting pushed to the moon) I'd be paranoid, too.
For some reason I think all the WCW wrestlers at that time. Perhaps they felt the same way as bill because is competitive environments too much ego too .many excellent performers too much talent. And everyone wants to be on top. That's is something that can happen in any environment. When you are good and the people knows it. I am wondering why most of the wrestlers talk bad about triple HHH. Is not casual that most of the wrestlers have the same opinions about him ..
Are you going to interview Priest or Dom again?
He was booked like shit during his first WWE run.
Yeah he won most of his feuds but then the way he was presented during them was just bad.
I mean SummerSlam he looks amazing and people are behind him…still loses to an injured Triple H without him using a wrestling move. Can’t win the title there because Triple H needs to have his 30 minute snooze fest match
Somewhat. But when your gimmick is unstoppable guy that doesn't lose.......
goldberg didn't want to win at summerslam because he didn't feel like going to live events or world tours or sum, and triple h put goldberg over clean 2 ppv's in a row, you can't bury the top wwe talent guys into squash matches against him, its not his company, wwe is a big company full of talented guys, and guys coming from wcw, you wouldn't have the rock or triple h lose in 3-5 minutes to goldberg, terrible, brock did it that 1 time to surprise us, and needed his win back
Bro beat the rock ? 😂that’s icing on the cake
I always thought that was Funny when GOLDBERG yelled at HHH with (HHHs 2 daughters) hearing every INSULT & CURSE WORD from GOLDBERG at the Autograph Convention,
Like he knows his WWE career is gonna be like STING, BOOKER T, SCOTT STEINER, DDP, NASH,
I don't blame him for being paranoid
0:40 - 0:50 Undertaker would certainly agree with that
The value they saw in him was to use his star power to put over their own top guys. They didn’t bring him in to be their top guy. I’m sure he got paid a lot of money for the little work that he did.
yeah but he let them beat all of their top guys, lol, goldberg only lost to triple h, if you talking about his 2nd run, duh he was old
His debut against Rock at backlash was the first time crowd chants were not siphoned in to hide the Goldberg sucks chants and we all heard em... the way rock sorta tilts and smiles at that crowd despite hes meant to be the heel and he is getting cheered to high heaven while Goldy got savaged 😂
goldberg was the enemy from wcw thats why but they cheered him at end of match
Nobody Cheered louder for Goldberg than Arizona
He was paranoid??? If anybody should've been paranoid and afraid was the poor bastards who had to get in the ring with his stiff, non-wrestling ass.
2:59 So WWE was "too professional". That's a hell of a reason to want to leave a job.
The Undertaker has entered the chat...
Go Away Oldberg…..
Dude probably won over 95% of his matches and still complains. He sucked in the ring, on the mic, and only had the look of a star. It's hard to keep someone like that interesting and build compelling stories around them when they can only do squash matches. Once he lost his first match and bigger, more intimidating guys like Lesnar showed up there was nothing special about him anymore.
His first run sucked.
Sadly.
If they were smart, he would've been undefeated for the entire year until his last match.
Cryberg
"if im not csreful, im gonna drop them right on theor bean and paralyze them"
- Bret Hart has rntered the chat -
Bret hart was overrated u punk
