this is truly good music... 5 beautiful women singing and playing beautiful music... 4th girl to sing thank your dad for that beautiful song he wrote... i've listened to all of y'all's songs and i'm a huge fan
GALS, GALS, GALS Hands down, hats off, tears into my eyes Absolutely stunning Thanks once again you folks at MusicFog, you're doing a wonderful job giving us these GEMS
The whole point here is asking our Creator to give us a long enough life on this temporal plane to see our children become all that we have hoped and dreamed that they would achieve.
Thanks to my friend for turning me on to this song on my BIRTHDAY! This deserves the lyrics and full songwriter credits... (We who live in Nashville always must do that!): Till I'm Too Old To Die Young by Kevin Welch / John Hadley / Scott Dooley If life is like a candle bright Then death must be the wind You know you can close your window tight And it still comes blowing in So I will climb the highest hill And I'll watch the rising sun And I pray that I won't feel the chill Till I'm too old to die young Chorus: Let me watch my children grow To see what they become Lord don't let that cold wind blow Till I'm too old to die young I have had some real good friends I thought would never die But now all that I got left of them Are these tear drops in my eyes So if I could have one wish today And I know it would be done I'd say everyone could stay Till they're too old too die young Repeat chorus twice
Sweet, sweet harmony. Only adds to one of the most beautiful songs ever written. I saw the songwriter (father of one of the girls) do this acoustically only his tapping boot for percussion. Ripped my heart right out of my chest.
Saw em at Floores Country Store in Helotes, Tx last night and they sang this one. Great bunch of ladies and I wish you well :) You're making good music, Thank You.
Im English lad, i got here by listening to "to old too die young now" off the django unchained soundtrack. Im 29 never been exposed to this style of music in England but id like to say its good true and most of all real. All you lot in the states take it easy
Truely awesome song with yal singing it and the different haromy making it a 4 man song then a single but they both sound awesome.. cant wait to meet yal this thursday.. august 16th 2012.... real texas music:o whooo!, i hope yal get the chance to play this song, my favorite song
Okay, they are a little rough, a little raw, but I just can't get away. I click on this nearly daily and usually two or three more of their songs. I am a fan, for sure.
Sublim, magistral, enorme, mare meva quina descoberta!!! El millor en música que he escoltat des dels Beatles. Teniu el fan vostre número 1 a Matadepera-Catalunya

Since you started trolling Trishas vids, I checked them out. Mmmmm...not so much. As my son commented: "It sounds like 'Alt Country 101' for community college freshmen. "And in response to your reply on another vid; I think the word you're thinking of is "deluded", not "diluted", bonehead.
I *love* this song. But it seems a bit over-sung....like they're trying too hard to showcase their beautiful voices. Probably just my preference, though. Still a pleasure to listen to, but I prefer the Elder Welch's version. :)
Beautiful voices, beautiful ladies and such a rousing song. I'm in Heaven !! ❤❤❤❤❤
Love Southern Gospel music
They played this at My grandmas funeral..this made me cry like a baby.
How could anyone give this a thumbs down. Excellent. Great tasteful fiddle too.
If this song does not give you goosebumps, you need to check your pulse. Holy mother, these girls are awesome!
Wonderful version. 5 lovely ladies. 🏴👍👍👍👍👍🤠

Grew up listening to Kevin sing this song. Must make him a proud daddy to hear his daughter singing it on stage.
Beautifully done! This is my favorite Kevin Welch song ever and I saw him sing it many many times at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.
One of my favourite songs of all time. And they do a wonderful job of it.
GALS, GALS, GALS
Hands down, hats off, tears into my eyes

If life is like a candle bright
Then death must be the wind
You know you can close your window tight
And it still comes blowing in So I will climb the highest hill
And I'll watch the rising sun
And I pray that I won't feel the chill
Till I'm too old to die young Chorus:
Let me watch my children grow
To see what they become
Lord don't let that cold wind blow
Till I'm too old to die young I have had some real good friends
I thought would never die
But now all that I got left of them
Are these tear drops in my eyes So if I could have one wish today
And I know it would be done
I'd say everyone could stay
Till they're too old too die young Repeat chorus twice
They performed this for us last night as their encore, and it most definitely put a lump in my throat.
So great, thank you from Germany
Sweet, sweet harmony. Only adds to one of the most beautiful songs ever written. I saw the songwriter (father of one of the girls) do this acoustically only his tapping boot for percussion. Ripped my heart right out of my chest.
Savannah Welch playing the guitar.

These young ladies have a beautiful sound. Are they still around? Sweet harmonies.
Jamie Linn Wilson, from Texas, is on FB. Just posted her upcoming schedule.

a real treat
If life is like a candle bright
Death must be the wind
You can close your window tight
And it still comes blowing in
So I will climb the highest hill
To watch the rising sun
And pray that I won't feel that chill
Till I'm too old to die young
Let me watch my children grow
To see what they become
Oh Lord don't let that cold wind blow
Till I'm too old to die young
I have had some dear sweet friends
I thought would never die
But all I've got that's left of them
Is these tear drops in my eye
If I could have one wish today
And know it would be done
Then I would say everyone can stay
Till they're too old to die young
Let me watch my children grow
To see what they become
Lord don't let that cold wind blow
Till I'm too old to die young
Let me watch my children grow
To see what they become
And Lord don't let that cold wind blow
Till I'm too old to die young
Till I'm too old to die young
OMG the music, WOW! and I used to hang at Threadgill's in 1970-72 goosebmp material. Is 68 young methinks?
I knew Kevin and Jennifer and Dustin, Vannie, and baby Ada when they lived in a bungalow on Wyoming and his debut was released.
Really excellent rendition. Better, I think, than the album version.
Mighty Fine
excellent !!!
I just found "The Trishas" . Surfed over from a John Prine post. As GREAT as These Gals Are. John Prine is a National Treasure..
I turned 69 years old 5 days ago. I want to make it to 70
Oh brother where art thou.
The unsung hero. The big guy who sets the rythem(well, who can spell it).
Very good!
Gorgeous
love it good stuf
keep it
up ♥
oooppsss.. too late, I am already too old to die young.. :D
Not in Your Heart..me too
here in holland there are no girls who make music like like this, this can only be in the states
You might like a 'similar' song by The Band Perry - 'If I die young'. It's much better with the video.
Tell, me, is this why I was denied my death in battle? Lot better than me died.
This should be the video for PTSD
Let them come to Holland, please!!!!
One of these girls is Kevin Welch's daughter. I don't know which one, though. Have to say, Kevin does this song much better.
I hope that I become rather old and must die not young!
I think God gave these girls an extra blank
