I have a question. I live in east Texas where it's very hot and dry - very very dry. What can I do to keep my upright piano cool so it doesn't go out of tune?

If you are referring to the Dampp-Chaser System, it has a humidistat. So it turns on and off automatically to keep the humidity level stable by your soundboard.

Ok good solution, but what's the best way to keep it humid, when house is dry?

A few larger potted plants could help

Bertminator, the Dampp-Chaser is a humidifier as well as a dehumidifier. I've had mine in my piano for at least 20 years. My piano tuner says it also helps keep the piano in tune. Of course, that doesn't mean you shouldn't have your piano tuned regularly. It's just that if you miss a tuning, it's not that bad.

good job! likewise, should we give a try at taking a shot at multi-track collabs on Bandhub ;) I always do play drums. Both of us should get together at the site! It may be terrific!
