I love how smoothly these knives fly vs when I throw my kitchen knives
Thanks for the video. I like to practice knife throwing while hiking in the woods. I often throw my every day carry Buck folding knife. Seems to work well for me.
I don't usually throw folders. It is pretty hard on the pivot.
I think this is a good video. I have the same smith and Wesson knives! This was helpful 😊
When I was a young boy, enjoying playing "hookie" from school, I enjoyed target practice and knife throwing with my cousins. For a dollar, they would volunteer being moving targets. The more I practiced, the more dollars it cost me. I got to be pretty good though. Although I don't have any witnesses around to verify for me......I no longer have any cousins...I guess that just goes with the territory...I've often thought of it as just one of those growing up experiences.
I bought throwing knives and I'm going to learn how to throwing them for the reason of fun and to add another way of self protection. The brand i bought are the TRS.X8 / STINGER.
I will keep trying throwing knives until i feel better than a beginner.
I'm tryna throw knives like Clove IYKYK
THIS
I LOVE THAT REFERENCE!!!

Awesome video, I just got some smith and wesson throwing knives as a gift yesterday and these tips will definitely come into play. \m/
Have fun
Funny I just bought a set for dicking around in the yard, thought I'd give a look so I don't make a total fool of myself, and here you're using the exact set I picked up... guess they might be kind of popular... lol. Looking forward to this, thanks for the video.
Great video, thanks

A tad heavy for my liking...but very sturdy knives
i like the rambling,just saying.
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Thank You Prof Bryan , Very Good Video . Boss why you are not making all your Trowing Knife Clips in One Video . that will be Gr8
This should be good i have the same knives just silver
Kool Bryan! Throwing knives are not in my collection "yet" although certainly on the list. Last I checked in Pennsylvania double edge knives are illegal to carry. Legal to own though. Thinking it was the Comanche Indians carried 21 to 26 knives mostly for throwing plus many throwing purposes. But lol that's my memory so it is ideal to check on that.
Not sure if these would be considered double edge or not. It's a stupid law anyway. Totally ridiculous. Especially for the state that houses the "Liberty" Bell
@@SurvivalOnPurpose Sure thing! The law actually reads at one place knives carried for intent to cause bodily harm are illegal. This being the case one can not say I carry this knife for self defense. Leaves one wondering if used for self defense should one claim "I am claiming (The Lesser of Two Evils Law)"? The law is intended to protect one when doing seemingly something illegal to stop a deadly force violent attacker or attackers. Most states have the law however one must study your state law concerning it because they do vary.
Great video, I have also not been able to get a no spin throw with those smith & Wesson throwing knives. Tomahawks definitely come a lot more natural to me for some reason, though. My tomahawks stick 95% of the time I throw them and my knives are no where even close to that... maybe a quarter of them go in at first until I find my groove, then they stick nearly every time. Any tips to keep them from getting horizontal rotation and only giving them vertical rotation?
the important topic for beginner is to start with a more heavy and a bigger throwing knife about foot long cold steel make great inexpensive knife of that size, after that it's the constancy of the movement so your knife always stick the same at the same distance so take a knife and repeat the move with the knife in your hand without throwing it so when you throw it you don't have to focus on the move but on the release and the aiming. Don't put force in your move let physic and the motion do the work. Don't by 6 inches knife kit they are to light and they bounce back a lot so it's not safe for the user!
Hey, the price of ammo got expensive, we have to do something fun, and deadly at the same time right?, bullets, blades, or axes, I dont want to be on the receiving end of any of them. Good job. Throw brother until that elbow needs Icy Hot. 👍🗡😁.
Interesting color choice.😎
It’s what I had on hand.
That’s what I figured. Just couldn’t let it go.
Through right trial and error, it feels more like throwing a dart for me. The knife spins, but I'm not snapping my wrist trying to get it to spin. The snapping would rarely get knives to stick for me.
4 minutes into the video and you finally threw a knife.
how do you hold the knife?
where do u buy those
What is the distance from the target?
I just bought a throwing knife in the shape of a playing card, is the technique for throwing it the same as a regular throwing knife?
I know this is late but I suggest looking up card throwing techniques brotha
Usually when I throw knives I throw the by the blade don't know why. I guess I've seen it in movies and such so I thought that's how you do it
Hello Brian. I have recently purchased throwing stars and I have had a lot of fun with them. I want to see a video of you trying some throwing stars!
Sounds like fun
Interesting target ... were those 4x4 or 6x6 posts that you cut into squares (how thick?) and it looks like they were attached in front of a piece of plywood and surrounded with a 2x4 as a frame. How were the pieces held to the plywood? (I'm guessing an adhesive rather than nails or screws which probably shouldn't be used since the knives may strike the metal and wouldn't be good?). Which did you find to be the better target, the cut squares or the pine 2x8's?
Robo you kinda answered your own questions thinking out the questions. It doesn't take much screw to hold a square block..screwed through plywood. Using screws, they look easily replaced..one or many near the bulls eye?
It's rare to get more than 3/4" penetration.
Fun is various bulls eyes, various size for scoring competition with pals. Head (six foot person), throat, chest 'n tummy too? ..each has smaller red center, outlined with another color as lessor point value.
Not all can toss knives to be backyard party fun. (oh poop, I got zero again) So steel darts can be used.
Simple point value. lol, beer and math thang. (-:
@@brianbartulis9709 Good point about screwing them in from the backside so they can be replaced. Looks cool, I'm going to make one and give it a go.
Funny you should ask. Stay tuned for more information about that target. Short answer, 4x4s but I would do a lot of things differently next time.
👍👍
I like how he said he was getting to the point and still it was like 5 minutes in before he started throwing
Yeah, he does that a lot
Great stuff Brian! Feel free to ramble on man!
Thaks man
Nice job Brian
Thank you
Appreciate your vids Brian . . . Ray, Oklahoma
Thanks for the support!
I want to throw like James Coburn did in "The Magnificent Seven"
Hollywood
I want to throw like Skeeter Vaughan did in WWII.
Me, I want to throw knives like Artyom Chyornij.
I just wanna throw knives :,(
for someone who wasn't going to ramble you sure did a lot of it. helpful after you got quite and went to work
How do you start to throw knives if it's illegal in your country to have throwing knives?
Can you have "regular" knives or kitchen knives?
Throwing knives are the knives used mainly for playing throwing sports. These are different from regular knives and have sharp points on the blades. There are some important things you need to know.

Adam Celadin. I like your channel, and I appreciate your offering info on throwing knives, but for those of you wanting to learn how to throw knives, learn from an expert.
Adam rocks! He is a champion knife thrower.
@@SurvivalOnPurpose this is probably a bit late but I have a few questions
What can I use other than wood ?
Is it good if I practice by throwing them down (on the floor (earth))
What other tools, knives can I use for practice
Colllllllllllll
one of the better knife throwing videos..
Thanks
Hmmm, the only knife throwing I've ever been taught was to never break your wrist, so that it doesn't spin and sticks more consistently. Even going as far as to tape my wrists up so I couldn't break them as I threw.
Whatever works for you. I have not been able to get the hand of no spin throwing yet
Now I am gonna be Jhon wick
My dad says thanks.
Those whom disliked only play darts. 😂
Throwing knives and hawks is a lot of F U N ! !
Indeed.
quick video with no rambling actually starts at 1:45...
No rambling, but peddling? Oh yeah
This man knows nothing about throwing knives. I'm the second degree
For a non rambling video it took you 1:50 to actually get going. Then a further 30 secs to start. You could have done this in 2 mins. Get the hell on with it man.
Sigh. Slow down a little. Take a few deep breaths. Lighten up dude. Chill. Just be happy.
Let’s calm it down man
You still do allot of talking
i know
