I don't know whether you know or not about the film she is working on at the moment called SONG THE FIREFLIES, it's the film she actually started working on just before the pandemic hit, well now she is on the final stages so hopefully we can all get to watch her on the big screen 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.
Six years ago when I first stumbled onto Morissette on the Wish Bus for the first time, I said to myself that I was hearing the best young female vocalist in the world and I still hold that sentiment to this day. I'm in my early 60's and I've heard the best of female artists over the years. I can honestly say, I've never heard of another that has this much vocal talent at such a young age of 19 when my ears heard this beautiful vocalist. I can't even bring myself to calling Morissette a singer. The word doesn't capture what this young woman can do.

That's my typical reaction, too. "Sang Whitney songs" ≠ "sounds like Whitney" or "the second coming of Whitney." I really appreciate that she honored all the finest aspects of Whitney's rendition while staying true to her own style. Her own voice is more than beautiful enough to stand on its own merit imo.

The more significant info I can share with you that went down on that stage Tommy was when David mentioned that Morissette will be known everywhere. Now that sounds like a promise to me, and when David makes a promise he absolutely delivers like what she did for the 2 other filipino artists Charice pempengco and Gerphil Flores. Remember, David has 16 grammies under his belt as a producer, composer, songwriter and as a star maker I believe she can produce another Whitney Houston or Celine Dion in Morissette. She definitely is more than qualified to be considered under his label.

It was a concert that had matinees and evening performances Mar. 21-26 Mori didn't do many of the matinees. he first night, (royal blue gown) she sang Never Enough like in all shows and I Have Nothing, and Katherine McPhee did , I will always love you , but after that first night Mori did Never Enough , I have nothing and I will always love you in shows following....unsure why.
Mori did the full medley on 5 nights, and 6 times NEVER ENOUGH and there are a ton of phone Videos it's just finding the right one with close up's, it was a shame that RUN TO YOU was missing love that song and we know Mori has no Problem singing it, David Fosters wife Katharine Mcphee sang one song from the medley on the first day, great voice but not for Whitney sorry, the transistions were not smooth as by Mori or Whitney, now have you seen Morissette MISS CONTEST Philippinens POWER first take after being ill, it became one of my favorits, cannot believe how great she is, that voice the breath control and transistions are absolutely fantastic even better than the Version from the MISS UNIVERSE CONTEST, I don't know how Mori does it. I love Mori honestly and technically great but there is something lacking for me, it's the magic and something you can't explain which you can see on Whitney Houston even on her low moments and not on her prime that made you feel something special and how she delivered her live performances. That's my opinion. Please do respect, thanks! But I love Mori.
I think it's tough when one of the singers has already achieved the highest level of fame possible, not just in their own country but globally, with a well-earned reputation as one of the all time greats, and on top of that we're talking about their signature song that also happens to be widely considered one of the greatest songs of all time. Those are some really damn big shoes to fill. So your sentiments are understandable 🙂 I don't think Morissette sounds like Whitney (and I appreciate that she doesn't try to copy her), but I do think her singing has a few key similarities to Whitney, and for me she's one of the only singers who can hold their own performing Whitney songs.

I love Mori honestly and technically great but there is something lacking for me, it's the magic and something you can't explain which you can see on Whitney Houston even on her low moments and not on her prime that made you feel something special and how she delivered her live performances. That's my opinion. Please do respect, thanks! But I love Mori.
I think it's tough when one of the singers has already achieved the highest level of fame possible, not just in their own country but globally, with a well-earned reputation as one of the all time greats, and on top of that we're talking about their signature song that also happens to be widely considered one of the greatest songs of all time. Those are some really damn big shoes to fill. So your sentiments are understandable 🙂 I don't think Morissette sounds like Whitney (and I appreciate that she doesn't try to copy her), but I do think her singing has a few key similarities to Whitney, and for me she's one of the only singers who can hold their own performing Whitney songs.
Try to find a live Whitney performance that is better than the studio version.I have never seen her cone close to Singin her songs better live.That is what sets Morissette apart from other artists,she is way better live than in the studio recordings.Real Tok!
