This is definitely a good guide for new players but could you make some more advanced one for people who already know good piece control, and some advanced retakes
Brand new player here, and this was completely over my head. I'll figure it out eventually, and hopefully this'll make more sense sooner than later. I'll have to find a good controller tutorial also, so thanks for that suggestion. Not having much luck finding helpful console beginner guides.
This is by far the best video I've seen for teaching newer players. I haven't played since season 8 chapter 1 and every guide ive watched over the past week has confused me alot. This was very well explained so thank you very much.
@@godstack_9437 well you cant really expect a video to tell you everything about the game every single minor detail, you need to play the game yourself first atleast for 1-2 weeks and then you will figure stuff out
A really important thing for beginners: when placing a wall from after shooting from the same layer look DOWN for the wall to place nesr you and not further away. BUT, when placing a wall after shooting from a layer below your enemy, make sure to look UP fot the wall toplace correctly, try get that in your mind, and practice it for muscle memory
With the 'Sway retake', I'd suggest doing the double ramps first if the enemy is above or behind you as you can place both ramps before you can place your first wall.
the sway retake is the best thing I have ever decided on practicing, it just has so many variations ur enemy doesn't even know what happens and you have height if used correctly. Worth learning fr
Thank u so much for this vid Jivan, i just got back into fortnite with the release of og fortnite after leaving back in ch 1 season 8 and found your other videos for beginners but they were a bit too advanced. This video is absolutely amazing and I will definitely be using all of the tips u gave!! GREAT VIDEO!!
Which do you think he's more likely to make more money off of? Tutorials that can be viewed by millions of noobs, or earnings from tournaments those noobs are unlikely to ever play in?
I use this map all the time. I’ve definitely improved. My issue is just my ping and fps. All of this I already know but might be good to go back to some basic fundamentals. Holding a wall isn’t always beneficial for me though with my ping, would you just suggest ramp your back and double box again?
Try to think of the game more fluid , instead of focusing on a double box as standard maybe try a retake and get highground and from there try to piece them .
I think the biggest challenge for me is getting the practice it takes in. So like I can spend 5 or 10 minutes in a practice map but then I spend 2 hours playing battle royale and don't really do what I practice. I feel like the learning curve is steep asf and there's 3 types of players, no build, terrible builders, expert builders. And I guess what's unfortunate is killing someone who is trying to build but sucks at it isn't much fun. You break the wall down and they are standing still with their pencil and blue print out lol. And the expert builders are hard to have fun against too because it's like one second I'm alive but can't see the dude and then the next second im already dead 😂 sometimes I think fuck it, I'm playing no builds. But I know that's a dead end street. I'm not a hardcore player, been playing for a year maybe 5-10 hrs a week, and I'm at a point where I can for sure have fun in silverish rank games and sometimes I can get some great streaks in unranked (and win maybe 1/10 or 1/15 unranked games), but clearly hitting a ceiling where I think to get much better I need to really figure out significant build tactics and techniques and practice them until I can do them more or less with muscle memory and subconsciously...
i practiced these things and got 7 kills in my first game after. only reason i died was a dude hit a nutty mid air headshot snipe. ik 7 kills isnt much but killing real players comfortably without panic building really made me feel more confident so thank you so much jivan
I been absolutely loving your videos man. I’m trying to return back to fortnite, the game makes me want to get better so much but there are some absolute killers playing.
Omg that's what I was searching for ty I just started fortnite and was searching what to do if I get sprayed on or different scenarios was was just about to quit fortnite after 1 week bc it was to hard this video makes everything easier
I saw noob in the title and I thought this is some basic how to play like what are the items/guns etc but i guess this will help me when I get to that level(maybe make the title something like building guide intermediate to pro)
I'm not actually a beginner but my friend is so I looked through it to make sure it's good and it's actually good even for me, BTW I've been playing since chapter 1 and I still didn't learn a lot of the stuff in this vid
I’ve been playing Fortnite for about a year and a half and I’m jus now starting to build I appreciate how you taught us the different builds you can do like the 90 and 180 💯 you earned a like and follow🦾🔥
I´m not really a beginner hehe but it´s so nice of you to make this type of content! Keep the good things up Jivan you deserve all love in the world! This comment was written 4 min after the vids release but I forgot to send it lol
sometimes i scroll too much and it edits then resets again, another thing is when i rotate a build it stays that way and i have to rotate it back( i might be just dumb but idk what to do)
Is there any settings that helps you see throught walls? I cant use editing because i cant see the oponent and always getting clapped on from side i dont even expect
It's a good guide don't get me wrong but I just started playing and I have no idea how to switch between stuff... the controls are still messing me up... Is there a practice room in fortnite?
I try to use your strategies and builds and piece control methods, but everyone is always faster, and I need to get to practice them in actual fights. Do you have any suggestions? I wish I could just play and not get triple edited on all the time or get boxed instantly, and I cover my angles, but it's never enough they're always faster. Also I can never box people they are automatically covered, and are always moving even after I cone them or take a wall
I recommend free for alls, I play the vault - free for all, people if a lower skill level who you can cone etc or people who are good at the game who you can improve against.
This is definitely a good guide for new players but could you make some more advanced one for people who already know good piece control, and some advanced retakes
Most of the videos he posts are advanced lol. This is like one of the only exceptions
@@UsoppWarrior no he barely posts advanced videos
Yeah no there all “advanced” for you and me, but, for example, these two guys, the other ones are easy for them
Just watch his other videos

I love how you try to help every skill level players in your community. Your videos really help me improve a lot.

Thank you a lot!
same with ramps, if you tunnel, try look up or down to place a ramp behind you, insted of in front of you
With the 'Sway retake', I'd suggest doing the double ramps first if the enemy is above or behind you as you can place both ramps before you can place your first wall.
I always thought that for me personally, it seems more logical to place both ramps an only then walls. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
yeah + its the same logic as the tunnel logic "you just have to move the mouse a little bit up" if you get me @@UldisBiz
