And also, Shadow can hypothetically tap into Hyper form if he has the Super Emeralds, like Sonic and Knuckles. Sonic can do it, and Shadow is stated multiple times to be on par with him, plus, Shadow has chaos energy flowing inside him. So that's why I think Shadow still beats Knuckles in strength and every other category.
