My daughter found this video she is only 6. She wanted to make a warp pipe. I have to say you are awesome. This video is great and its very helpful. So thanks again.
* I think doing the light saber kendama would turn out really cool. You're really skilled at making wood as your material look like a completely different material in the end. And with the right paint you could really make the different parts of the handle pop. Can't wait to see your next video!
I watched this video about a month or two ago and since then I've made three of these. I love this project. I'll be making many many more of them. My friends love them. I love them. Thank you so much for showing such a simple way of making something so nostalgic and awesome. I love all your content. Keep up the great stuff man. PS, I use acetone to chemically weld the ABS together. It's cleaner than the cement stuff. Acetone dissolves ABS. Thanks again!
* hi I'm from Italy and I reeeally love your videos! Last month I made my first sword with no power tools and I'm very satisfied with how it came out (thanks to your tips) :) For the kendama I suggest using no thread to attach the ball and then playing just using the "force", it should work ;)
* You should try to find a way to incorporate tree bark onto the lightsaber to show case that's it's made of wood. Maybe you could cut grooves into the handle to simulate deep wood grain.
* I think the new lightsaber will look awesome! I wish I had a lathe so I could do rounded things...I'm going to try this pipe out, but I think I might use a black cap on the top as well and make it into a piggy bank for my son. I'm almost done my shield off your plans and will send pics as soon as it's done (I'm just working on the bolts on the front now). Your videos are awesome, detailed and they inspire me to continue doing projects. You're a super nice guy and look forward to more fun projects!
*I would love to see another kendama. Star Wars is really popular now, so I think it would be appropriate. What do you think of having a Death Star as the ball if you decide to make two Star Wars lightsaber kendamas?
*I think that the lightsaber idea is a fantastic idea! I think it would be tricky, but you could definitely do it! Best of luck, can't wait to see the finished product!!
* Atom, this show is really awesome. I really enjoy many of your episodes. I personally know pretty much nothing about woodwork and creating props, but watching you show and explain all you are doing is very entertaining. I hope the channel grows to many more subscribers. Thanks for the videos and keep up the cool stuff. The lightsaber idea is cool and I am interested to see your other future projects.
* A Lightsaber kendama might be cool if you can get some translucent ball material and have some sought of light in it, making it look like the beam. Still it's pretty cool with the design and all :D
* The kendama sounds like a neat idea, a bit less nintendo/video-game though like many of your videos. Kinda branches out, which can be a good thing. Good luck on that, can't wait to see what you come up with!
* I think with the newest Star Wars coming out, the kendama is a great project idea. As far as the training ball goes, that would be paired better with a "classic" lightsaber design. Maybe start with a standard design, and show how you can tweak it to make it your own style handle.
* You should definitely make the light saber kendama. That would be the perfect tutorial so I can make my Star Wars obsessed loved ones something totally cool. Also, a BB8 would be awesome to make too!
* I have never seen the original Star Wars, but my nephew would love me forever if I brought him home something like that light saber if I could make one using your instructions. My vote is yes please
* Seriously great idea!! Love al the Mario and Zeldaprojects, but going Star Wars is going to be epic. I bought a wooden dagger and a sword 2 years ago and thank to your channel I painted the dagger and put a nice leather band on the hilt. Since I have no crafthands I was under a lot of stress but it turned out better than I hoped for. Still haven't paint the sword yet, but I'm in no rush. Love your channel, even as a no craftswoman.
* I think a lightsaber kendama is an excellent idea, especially with the new movie coming out soon. Even if I wasn't a fan of Star Wars I'd always encourage someone running with an idea. If you believe in it, it'll be totally worth it.
* i think that lightsaber looks soo cool! I've never seen one of the movies but i'm pretty sure the lightsabers are supposed to be really epic. Love your channel!!
* I think that a lightsaber kendama would be awesome. it'd be pretty cool also to implement some lights into it somehow (like maybe a glowing string or lights in the parts that you catch the ball on) also if you make a second one, you should make the ball a thermal detonator on a different styled lightsaber. looking forward to more videos!
Love the projects you do, and really looking forward to doing a few of them with my kids :) Really want to make some wood rings too, and the Mario pipes would make great desktop organizers for pens and stuff! (perhaps at work too -- I work in IT, so it would be PERFECT!!!!)
I found your channel by searching on zelda diy and at the moment I say your zelda ring diy I was in love with your channel. How many video's do you make?
* I think a lightsaber would be cool especially for the people that like star wars I look kind of complicated because of the design but that makes it all the more challenging BTW just so you know im new to this channel but i saw all of you videos but the things that catch me the most would be the legend of zelda stuff so im looking forward to more videos on that topic and more also I thick the warp pipe should be the one that should be entered in the giveaway. amazing things you do btw
*Woow! Nice pipes! Congratulations to the winners! (damn .. i forgot sending the herosshield pictures ^^) The Lightsaber is a pretty cool idea Can you make a Monado maybe? :3* greetings from germany!
****I think its cool to make a lightsaber kendama but it would be funny to see the ball as a deathstar, cool none the less, if i do manage to win, i would like a green mario pipe****
*i dont know much about star wars but i do think that that would be cool. but i just want to ask if you can make a item from runescape? an older item preferably because they are simpler and give off more of a nostalgia feel
*The kendama would be cool. It reminds me of the balero, a toy we use here in Mexico, and I want to see how it turns out. P.S. I'm thinking on doing a warp pipe and I'd like to see how would you paint an old one
As I was reading the comments I thought you could do this and make the Spirit Flute from LoZ: Spirit Tracks easily with a few tweaks of this tutorial. That would be cool to see and have in a collection.
*Awesome project! I think the idea for the lightsaber/kendama is awesome! Really creative! Sadly i have taken a break from prop making, so haven't had any time to work on projects and stuff :( Awesome work though! Keep it up!
*Personally, I'm not a fan of the new "T shaped" lightsaber, I think it's kinda dumb...instead I'd recommend either Luke's original lightsaber or his ROTJ lightsaber. Even Obi-Wan's lightsaber would be cool.
+HappyAtom i Used wood lacquer in a dark grey color and a dry paintbrush to blend it in. When I wasn't quite happy with the transition I mixed the dark grey color with the base color and softened the transitions
* Wow really cool idea...Im really looking forward what spray paint colors you will use! :) I would use a light blue or red for the light thingy :D Im not sure if I would use a shining silver or a matt tone for the handle :o
So cool!!!! I convert rocking horses into carousel horses. I have some uploaded to my UA-cam channel. You inspired me to make my next horse theme Mario and Luigi. Thank you!!!
* a light saber should be cool. it would be cool to do this new lightsaber just to celebrate the filmz's release. i also didnt see my name there. and i know i saw it on the first giveaway because i got excited and took a screen shot. that was cool. i know i did the little ~ symbol because it took me forever to find it on my phone.
+Rickadus ThirtyOne Hey I'm sorry to hear that you were not in the contest. I looked again and cant find the comment. What was the comment and when did you leave it?
+HappyAtom i forgot what it was about but i posted it the day of. no biggie. i wasnt complaining but it really was awesome seeing Ricky "Rickadus31" Morales on your screen. its even better getting a reply from you. im a huge fan. anyways thanks for the reply. its really cool to get a notification and its from someone i spend almost an hour or more watching non stop. keep up the great work i know its hard and it takes waaaay longer to make that it seems.
* The lightsaber kendama sounds really great ! As a Star Wars fan, I'll maybe try to build one :P ! By the way, did you know a way to build a homemade Wood Lathe ? Because I don't have the money to buy one, and the "mini" are just too small .. ^_^
* I think that light saber kendama would look sweet, also if you do take suggestions could you possibly make Ichigo's banki sword from Bleach? Great video.
I was watching this video because i was trying to come up with idea's for amiibo stands. I figured, the amiibo base diameter is almost (with a few mm off) 50mm wide. a little tip for you . if you want a nice bright red . use a white undercoat then spray it red . you will find your red will be nice and bright .
You inspired me to do more stuff with wood and I am 13 I made every single one of your projects :)
My daughter found this video she is only 6. She wanted to make a warp pipe. I have to say you are awesome. This video is great and its very helpful. So thanks again.
I’m going to find the biggest pipe I can and use this tutorial to make a flower pot. Thanks!
Maybe some mushrooms also
* I think your lightsaber looks awesome! I love the pipes btw! Keep up the amazing work!!

Your design sir, has just become a permanent part of my pc and desk. I'm making a network of them around my desk right now!

If the paints came out darker then desired start with a base white primer and the colors will pop and be more true to the original
My son would lose his mind for these. Brilliant work 👌🏻
* I think that the lightsaber idea is pretty creative. Can't wait to see you try to make it.
* A Lightsaber kendama might be cool if you can get some translucent ball material and have some sought of light in it, making it look like the beam. Still it's pretty cool with the design and all :D
*I think it's cool to have something Star Wars themed. You have made many kendamas though. But I'm pretty excited to see it if you make it!
* The kendama sounds like a neat idea, a bit less nintendo/video-game though like many of your videos. Kinda branches out, which can be a good thing. Good luck on that, can't wait to see what you come up with!
* Lightsaber kendam will looks fancy with some white/silver and black finish... But... I'm the winner too, there was my nickname on video :D YAY!
Hi! I have a tip for you. When u paint red and blue u can first paint a white base to makeit more bright
*The light saber kendama sounds like a really awesome Idea, I hope it works out!

* Ok, a light saber kendama would be AWESOME!!!!!!! If you do this you are AWESOME!!!! 🐸
* Love the warp pipe idea! so simple, yet awesome! May the force be with you with the lightsaber kendama, cool idea
awesome work! i'll do this too for the piranha plant
* yes! Make the kendama! Anything Star Wars is rad so I'm sure it will turn out great!
If it hasn't been said, a "slip coupling" doesn't have the stop in the middle if you think that would make it easier.
if you want that the light colours are brighter you MUST have to paint it first white. Then you need a less more coats of the real colour.
*cant wait to see it... Use the traditional colors
*I think a light saber would be awesome! You should make a few different colors too.
These came out amazing. Awesome job as always.
coolest pencil holder ever
*The Lightsaber would be cool, especially if you can find a place to stick a coloured LED.
you should plant a Venus fly trap in these.
that is piranha plant
@@holczy0 its close
Those things are surprising hard to keep alive

* The design looks and works great for a kendama. Awesome video :)
* I love kendamas and Star Wars! I can't wait to watch the next episode! *
* itd probably be a good idea to use a saber with less silver in it but i reealy like the way th old school jedi sabers look
* I prefer traditional lightsabers but I haven't seen anyone do the new one so it will be cool if you do it

Awesome idea, I was thinking of making a Mario Diorama and u popped up 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great tutorial. On spray paint. Use white paint as a base. Then your color will pop and you wont need as many coats
I keep watching your vidoes and one thing is clear, YOU NEED TO BUY GLOVES! hahaha
*Woow! Nice pipes!
Congratulations to the winners!

I just found this channel.I really like your vids, subbed!
* It would be kinda cool if you could figure out a way to add in like little led lights in the handle??
*The kendama would be cool. It reminds me of the balero, a toy we use here in Mexico, and I want to see how it turns out.
P.S. I'm thinking on doing a warp pipe and I'd like to see how would you paint an old one
Karim has seen your video. Very Useful. He is impolite. Thank you for your help.
that light saber looks great. I saw the new star wars movie
*I think the the lightsabber kadama idea is cool
As I was reading the comments I thought you could do this and make the Spirit Flute from LoZ: Spirit Tracks easily with a few tweaks of this tutorial. That would be cool to see and have in a collection.
* you should make a kendama that looks like the demean rod from twilight princess!!! :)
keep making cool stuff you are the best :)
+Max Thats a good one!
*Awesome project! I think the idea for the lightsaber/kendama is awesome! Really creative!
Sadly i have taken a break from prop making, so haven't had any time to work on projects and stuff :(
Awesome work though! Keep it up!
* yea i luv that green colour
Epic video! Since you are branching out into other franchises. I would like to see a kingdom key from kingdom hearts. Just a suggestion. ^^
This was great, really clear instructions, i'm gonna look at more of your videos
*Personally, I'm not a fan of the new "T shaped" lightsaber, I think it's kinda dumb...instead I'd recommend either Luke's original lightsaber or his ROTJ lightsaber. Even Obi-Wan's lightsaber would be cool.
*ooo Love this lightsaber kendama, I know it is kinda plain, but you could do Genis' Kendama from Tales of Symphonia *
it says it wasn't posting but it was, sorry lol
* Do it! I'm sure a lot of viewers would love to see the light saber.
Thanks for showing my shield :D
+Janinechen98 What paint or tricks did you use to add the weathering to the shield? I prefer it when things look used.

I so want to make those pipes and put a little cactus in them, or a venus flytrap. :)
You should make one of the toothed plants that come out of the pipe and put it in it
Also good for homemade Amiibo stands jus put a holder over the top entrance and voila
* The lightsaber kendama sounds really great ! As a Star Wars fan, I'll maybe try to build one :P !
By the way, did you know a way to build a homemade Wood Lathe ? Because I don't have the money to buy one, and the "mini" are just too small .. ^_^
awesome video
* I think that light saber kendama would look sweet, also if you do take suggestions could you possibly make Ichigo's banki sword from Bleach? Great video.
*making a lightsaber kendama is a cool idea and would help you really feel like a Jedi in a fun and "safe" way 😄
best video ever
**** I think it's a cool idea maybe you could paint the ball glow in the dark?
* I think you should go old school with the light saber kendama I think it will lock better that way. wooden sword
too bad the cement is toxic, that would make a sick coffee mug!
NotYourTypicalGamer It really would!!
NotYourTypicalGamer it's only toxic when wet I believe... like silicone.
* make that kendama it would be AWESOME!!! I like kendamas AND STAR WARS!
I was watching this video because i was trying to come up with idea's for amiibo stands. I figured, the amiibo base diameter is almost (with a few mm off) 50mm wide. I could use a 50mm PVC pipe coupling, and a wooden dowel or rod that's almost 50mm (or 50mm and i shave it down a bit), would it still look nice after painting it? I'm hoping that after clear coating it, it would look more uniform. Although i'm not very experianced in these sort of builds. Will it still look nice with PVC AND Wood?
how did it work out?
* I love the light saber idea!! I hope I win that!!
As for the Super Mario Warp Pipe project, absolutely loved it, one question though, could this project be taken to the garden and use the pipes as planters? Something I'm thinking about making a Mario themed garden.
Keep up the great work!
Paul
Ps I received the triforce necklace. Thank you so much. If I want to send you a thank you package, how can I do that? Thanks again!
+montereybaymurals The planter idea would totally work! I would definitely use the larger 4" pipes for that. You can even get larger PVC ones but you normally only see those at construction sites. Monterey is a awesome place to live, you can grow anything there. Let me know how it works out. I'll pm my address.
HappyAtom comment back plz
I amp looking to make 3 foot wide Mario pipes. What would you suggest for that? They definitely don’t make pvc pipes THAT BIG. Anything helps
