- Neighbor claims the owners of this house may have passed away. Apparently, trespassers have trashed the lawn and the property is in disarray. The neighbor is concerned about the well-being of the owners and the state of their home. It's a shocking situation that has left the neighborhood in disbelief. We worked tirelessly to mow the lawn, trim the edges, and clean up the debris. By the time we were finished, the lawn looked like a completely different place. It was neat, tidy, and ready to be enjoyed once again!

Casey, I listened to someone once who cited a survey about houses in bad neighborhoods in a video about Faith. What they found was that when there were buildings with broken windows and damage, no one cared and there was a lot of vandalism and the neighborhood stayed in a negative cycle of behavior. But, just like you said, as soon as one person started to fix one building, other people began to take pride and care of their own and it changed the whole neighborhood- including the morale and morality of the people in it. I am always amazed that the neighbors aren't clamoring to bring you bottles of water and lunch while you toil for free to better their neighborhoods. If you were in my neighborhood doing all that good work I would that you weren't hungry or thirsty while you worked. You're a blessing to your community.

I often think the same thing - how much trouble would it be to offer a bottle of water? I also wonder why the neighbors never offer to lift a finger to help - after all the work they do improves their neighborhood and property values!!! It's shameful how we Americans have lost the good work ethic. IF more people had the work ethic of Trish & Casey the world would be a better place.
So you cleared this garden completely 7 months prior and then again 5 months ago and it is this bad after 5 month? I don't believe it would be this bad after 5 months especially all the edges.

Casey and Trish are definitely an I.D. aka Inspirational Duo! Two very hard-working individuals that create amazing transformations on every property I have watched on this channel. The fact that they Mother and Son is a huge bonus! Their repartee is always is respectful, often unexpected and always entertaining. I always feel upbeat and positive after watching this channel - quite rare when coping with a broken shoulder. (While it isn't terminal it is uncomfortable and it's difficult to do small tasks such as brushing my teeth with my non-predominant arm, preparing food, washing my hair, etc.) This channel relaxes me and makes me smile and laugh. I feel bad for the neighbors who live next to an overgrown, neglected property like this, not only how bad it looks but it’s a safety hazard that devalues their property as well. By cleaning it up maybe it will discourage the illegal dumping and shame the owner into some positive action. Can’t even imagine trying to enjoy your yard and having that eyesore next door. Every time that I see an issue that I hope Casey will take care or, you always DO! Like that enormous "shrub" growing in the gutters over the carport!! So happy you didn't leave that! And Trish, you are my weekly hero tackling these neglected properties, but you exceeded even my highest expectations when you were holding that piece of wood with possible termites or maggots' or something with your hands!!! YIKES!! Too many roaches and snakes and grubs and worms! Above and beyond with this property!! Amazing results as usual!!

I had one like that named Poochie. Super friendly and acted more like a dog than a cat.
Wow that yard looks so good now! Awesome makeover and boost for all the neighbors. Snake was an eastern/yellow rat snake. He was reporting to Trish, free pest control on the job also, to help the neighbors with the rodent problem. 😄 Love all you do! ❤🙏

Great transformation. It’s a chain reaction when one person does yard work the neighbors begin to do theirs. I absolutely love the friendship you and your Mom have. Watching from South Louisiana. I wish we had lawn companies to donate their time for the elderly and less fortunate.

@@cjmowing it was either a yellow rat snake or a garter snake. Couldn't see it well enough to be positive on the ID of it. Non-venomous and prey on small rodents. With all the trash in the yard, it found a food source. Really love watching you two and enjoy the banter. Wish we had you guys here in SC!
Admirable you are doing repeat trips to help pull this place and neighborhood up. Glad you are careful of the garbage dangers. Hopefully each round will be able to take a step of progress forward. That cat was funny, very similar behavior to one here. In raising the trees, removing surplus brush, taking out backlogged trash, the space is opening up, order increasing and safety improving. Good the neighbors activated and had helped work on things as dumped trash. Glad this may indirectly be helping an elder who couldn't keep up. The sun rays are getting lower. You two have done a really respectable recovery on this place. A very sensible extra clearing the plants out of the roof. Will help prevent roof damages.
Watching you two doing the work that makes lawns and beds and trees and flowers beautiful and then taking time to pet that little yellow kitty (we are kitten and cat rescuers) I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoy watching both of you. I've had people roll their eyes and ask what I could possibly get out of watching people mow yards and I say peace and being able to relax. I can remember my daddy mowing with an old gas powered push mower and his non electric edger and clippers (early weed eater). These are sweet memories for me and I am so glad you both are building memories that will last forever. ❤

Trish watching you and Casey work reminds me of my mom when we would go to the farm, grandma home, to work and help with the cows and the yard cleanup. Glad to see you trimming the tree branches before you mowed. I watch a lot of mowing videos and so many of these guys start mowing and the branches hit their head, knock their hats off, or they have to duck and squat down. I saw one get a bloody nose from a branch! I yell at them to trim the trees!! 😆. Hurts my head….Love your work!! Watching in Oklahoma

Trish, you are the precision arm of the team, while Casey is the slash and dash arm. Awesome transformation.
I have a suggestion. Y'all should carry a ziplock bag of various screws, and a cordless drill and maybe a variety of flat brackets too. On these abandoned properties, sometimes one screw is all it takes to get a door to close enough to latch right, or fix a falling awning. And falling fence panels can be resecured by a flat bracket or scrap piece of wood if you and a drill and screw. That one extra step can mean the difference between a homeless passerby thinking a place is being cared for and/or being watched and tended to which could deter squatters.
Great idea. A sagging something is an eye sore. Fixing it turns the work you do for the property into gold. Squatters look around to find abandoned properties.
