- Turkey is Super Genius in Assembling the Biggest Frigate Warship. The first frigate warship of the Istanbul Class built under the National Ships Program (MILGEM) has commenced operations. The first stage of the MILGEM program, the "ADA Class Corvettes" project, calls for the construction of four corvettes for the Turkish Navy. The "Istanbul Class Frigate" Project, which is the second stage of the MMILGEM program and will construct four frigates for the Turkish Navy, has made significant progress. Advanced sensor and weaponry-equipped warships will engage in surface combat, air defense, submarine defense, electronic warfare, and patrolling operations.
