  • The magic of June...never ending days and the smell of mosquito repellent in a misty, bright northern night. Yes, this month really has it all. In this video I will bring you into some days from this beautiful month plus some funny behind the scenes facts about my previous Q&A video, that costed me 3 days of sickness and a new phone.
I will also share some happy scenes from my midsummer celebration. And lots of more!
The summers really has a special energy. A lot of things are constantly happening and moving around you. It's a wonderful time, but I often find it hard to feel the peace and calm within, and focus on one thing at a time. You attention is split up in a thousand different directions.
But that is the energy of the bursting summer, and I try to go with the flow instead to fighting it.
So thats a reason to why I didn't get this video published in June as my plan was from the beginning.
But I hope you will enjoy it now instead! :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING! ♥

Whenever I watch her videos I feel a strange feeling in my stomach
A feeling of emptiness somehow for realizing that my life is nothing but staying in a room studying or using devices
I wish I can be free
No one to wait me to return
No one to ask me if I studied or worked
No one to get me back to reality
Just me and my dream faraway from human beings
Edit: thank you all for your comments, 8 months later I'm in a much better place in life, I'm majoring in filmmaking and my lifestyle can now fit dreams and ambitions along with making the most amazing memories with the people I love. It's very rare. I'm not surprised so many people are in awe of jonna's spirit. its something we've moved so far away from because so many of us were raised with parents who had unresolved trauma which they projected onto us. this is the main reason so many people are suffering. But we are blessed to have people like Jonna who remind us that it is possible to move back towards this beauty and live more simplistically.

And as you said, his father abused him, so it just get passed down. Trauma and cpstd is one of the missing topics in our societies. It's beginning to be spoken about more but not enough. However to live a life like Joannas in todays society is not easy. If she didn't have a huge social media platform I doubt she could maintain her life out there unless she drove to a nearby city to work.

We absolutely need to speak about trauma and create more spaces in society where people can go to prioritise healing because when we heal, thats when we can make a true difference in the world. sending you so much love and light and hoping you find all the peace and joy you so very much deserve 🤗😘😘🙏🏽 xxx

Splitting people into stereotypes and restrictive roles makes them easier for powerful institutions to control, manipulate, and use. I don’t mind to be her poppy or little baby in our sexual life
I don’t have any objection to be whatever she wants me to be to give her the best possible pleasure and smile if I feel she needs me to but what I don’t like is to act and behave like a pussy or a little kid and accept her to feed and clean me like a weak and awkward man that’s disgusting .

The long days of summer and equally long nights of winter; the cold bite of ice fog in your nose; the long twilight of a summer night; aurora dancing in the winter sky; and the rich loamy smell of deep woods in summer. I'm 33. I left my parents' house when I was 18 and moved to the Carolina's where I could feel a *little* closer to nature. I have a lot of kids, half of which want the city life and the other half wanting the country life, so we live right in the middle of both. I crave TRUE nature daily. When I watch these video's of Jonna's, I often get tears in my eyes at the scenery because where I am now is *not* where I want to be. But it would be selfish of me to uproot my entire family for myself.
My husband and I are planning our move into true nature within the next 10 years. It feels so far away but I take baby steps daily, which makes me feel like I am getting closer to my dream, if only little by little. Tomorrow, I will be closer than today and today, I am closer than I was yesterday. Just make a long-term plan and focus on it. Keep it in your mind and take baby steps. If you want to move to a different country, you're at the best age for that. One of the safest, most secure ways to move countries is through education. Learning overseas. That will help you get a job, home, and friends secured by the time you're entering your adulthood. -Diana, from LifeGrove

It's very similar to northern Canada too! Birch trees mixed in with evergreens, glacial lakes everywhere, remnants of the last Ice Age, wild rivers and beautiful old rounded mountains! Keep up the fight, I know it's hard, Canada likes to pretend we're better, but we're still a haven for mining companies, here's to hoping corrupt and desperate politicians won't use this pandemic and the economic crisis as an excuse to let companies do what they want.. Here it already started, some provinces have pushed back (for now) but "exception" measures during a crisis are always exploited...

Gosh, I'm so behind on your videos, I don't know if you'll even see this, but my little girl absolutely LOVED the clothes changing scene in that other video. She is 2 years old. She was transfixed by it, and then she stood up and jumped and looked down at her clothes like she expected them to change. She did it a few times and seemed so perplexed that the magic didn't work on her. It was adorable. She wasn't upset or anything. I think she just wanted to see if it would work. Anyway, lovely video as always. You bring joy to so many people!

Having financial troubles, being on a search for a proper job in vain and having some really bad thoughts about the nearest future...and suddenly comes up your beautiful video. Thank you so much for reminding me of the insufficiency of all that modern problems. You broke down something negative deep inside of me. Initially I found it kinda quirky, as for I’m generally against vlogs and stuff. But now I realize, that you and your videos help people, who are chained to their concrete cities/jobs/financial problems etc not to loose that simple feeling of the unity with Mother Earth and last but not least-that all material troubles mean nothing, if one has peace in the soul.

Watching botos swimming around a pool of fish and hunting together for over an hour around our boat, the beautiful beaches of Alter do Chao, the fresh acai and cupuacu fresh juice in the morning, the amazing little white pineapples that MELT in your mouth, the fresh cacao from the islands of Combu, the tacaca (!?) shrimp soup dish, the tiny, but big-sounding death metal howling monkeys (lol), the powerful current of the Amazon and the separation of the waters when black waters meet white waters, your home is AMAZING, and I'll never forget it!

With thousands of comments on each and every of your videos I usually don't write anything, thinking there is no way for you to read and answer. But this one I have to comment on. For several reasons. First is the magic of June and the, what I call "the noisy silence of nature". I live in the Interior of Alaska and I experience it the same way you do in your part of the world. The days are endless, I soak up every little bit of sunshine, well aware of a long and dark winter already waiting to come in just a few months. We have our own midsummer or solstice tradition: On midsummer we burn our last year's Christmas tree. We usually get the tree on midwinter...and burn in on midsummer.
Mosquitos. Yes, we have at least as many as you and this year seems to be worse than every year before. I had to smile when you showed me your repellents: I remember US622 from when I travelled to Sweden. And it worked, but was not super great for the skin. I also use this device, here it is called Thermacell. And that seem to work fine when we are camping. Also the dragonflies are late this year and not as many as the last years. Every summer I am waiting for the first ones to show up and start eating the mosquitos.
Our garden is in and potatoes set. Usually the first thing to do in June. With the 24 hours of daylight everything grows like crazy and so will yours.
Such a long comment, but I saw all the similarities of your life there in Sweden and mine here in Alaska and just needed to write about it. Take care and enjoy the light.

As a fellow Alaskan, I've also been blown away by the many similarities between Alaska and Sweden shown in Jonna's videos. I think Alaskans tend to be pretty disconnected from the rest of the world, even our own country, and we're often looked at like we're crazy/strange outlanders. Fro mosquitos problem, try homemade repellent: 150ml of any cold-pressed carrier oil - olive, sunflower, almond, jojoba, argan, or any of your choice or combination of 2 or 3, as long as it is cold-pressed and not processed. Add 4-5 drops of each: lavender essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil and lemongrass essential oil (any citrus will work, but real citruses make skin super sensitive to the sun, lemongrass is not real citrus so it is good).
Shake, apply and they should not dare to get even close to you.
A lady who taught me this, claims she tested it in Ecuador and it worked :D

Hi Jonna! I know this video is from a few years ago, but I rewatch it because I love this vlog so much. It’s almost like a comfort watch for me. So thank you! I wanted to comment and ask if you’d ever share about how you were raised? As someone who has followed your channel for a few years now, it seems like you have a really lovely relationship with your parents. Your mom seems like she is an artist and I love how they encourage and support you and Johan to chase your dreams and creativity. If you ever wanted to share a bit about how you were raised or even if your parents were open to an interview? (No presssure!!) I am a mom of three kids and want to raise gentle, creative, sensitive children who follow their passions, work hard and are kind to people- like you!!! Thank you for everything!!!!!!

I was reading my favorite book, listening to Enya, and now watching your video.
Perfect ending of an evening. Thank you again, for sharing this with us Jonna 🥰

How cool! I always do that too, reading while listening to enya. She has such a soothing voice.
In summer when it's warm and sunny sitting in the grass unter a beautiful tree with a book listening to enya and in autumn when it's cold and raining sitting with a book and a cup of hot tea listening to the rain accompany enya. That's what happiness feels like.

Dear Jonna, I just want to tell you that I experience the same phenomenon with the dizziness. It can be frustrating because I can’t do some activities. It is genetic, but also practice. With time it got better for me ❤️ thank you for your wonderful videos, they make me so happy and inspire me very much. Big hug from Spain.

And I always get so happy when you upload a new video. They're pure art for the soul. I don't know if you're aware of this but you have this gift of true innocence and just being yourself, not trying to be something or someone else. This has become rare these days and I think it's part of what viewers find so refreshing. I know I do! Sending a BIG HUG your way 🤍🙏🏻

I must admit, I was feeling a bit full of sadness when I began watching this vlog. At the beginning of June I was supposed to be moving back to Sweden to enjoy my grandparent’s company, but because of current happenings I am stuck in the US for the foreseeable future. However, watching you enjoy all my favorite parts of Sweden in the summertime made me feel quite peaceful. You gave me back a small piece of home and happiness today. Tack själv!!

I swear I will never ever miss a day going by the river’s edge again. Covid has made me so grateful for creation. I live not far from the river and a bird sanctuary but would only go a few times a year. Being in lockdown since March coupled with your vlogs have awaked in me a surge in touching the earth, wet or dry, smelling every plant , plucking every wild flower that comes my way, sitting by the water’s edge till after sunset. Forecast calls for -10 tomorrow pm but I will definitely bring my grandchildren sledding . We’ve earned it. Thank you! ❤️🙏💫

Johan and my husband could be brothers, they look so alike and they are both men of little words. Big blue eyes and a child like smile. I’m so glad you found a partner to enjoy life with. I’m going on 16 years with mine - we met when we were kids. We’ve built our life together, similar to yours. ❤️ I hope you continue to enjoy life together and make more lovely videos like this one! Big hugs to you!
