I’m Looking to get one of these a L300 high top Would I be able to fit in it being 6”4 ? Just wondering cause I can’t test drive one where I am I have to get it shipped .
I think they make a good daily driver if you don't plan any higher speed commuting/interstate driving. These aren't fast vans. They make great converted campers/expedition vehicles and I've sold quite a lot for that purpose.
If you have one of these belching black smoke there are three possible problems (because it shouldn't do that) 1. Injectors are dirty and their spray is bad, need to clean or replace injectors 2. over fueling injection and the injection pump needs to be rotated very very slightly 3. EGR is fowled. Most people will blank the EGR or block the vac line to EGR valve.
Bonsai Rides Imports oh. but even new (2017) Mitsubishi models like the AUV Adventure was experiencing smoke belching. luckily Montero Sport changed it's engine because it was using 4D56 also. 4D56 was putted on a lot of SUVs , Jeepneys and AUVs here in the Philippines for like 30 years or so. maybe because it's old
@@BonsaiRidesImports what's the newest & oldest year that can come to the U.S. and TX especially and how much is it ? I am mostly interested in Toyota Hiace long wheel base, 4×4 white cargo van.
The newest you could import is 25 years old (to be EPA and DOT exempt). Probably best to continue this convo by email. You can reach me at craig@bonsairides.com
Bonsai Rides Imports do you have any for sale currently I live in Chicago but would be willing to fly out and drive it back or drive out and put on a trailer depending on the conditions it’s in
I've sold some very nice 1992 and older L300's into the US. I'll make a video of these when I have some spare time but you can see them on my instagram feed
in 2018 the V26 and V46 models are going to start eligibility. 1993 was the first year for the 4M40 diesels (equivalent to L400 Spacegear), I have a 1993 LWB V46 Pajero that I am getting ready to list for the American market.
that's a great point. I've been trying to find a Montero/Pajero SR here in the U.S. with the RD locker. Finding a GEN II Montero in good shape is really difficult in the U.S. as there weren't many sold (which is part of the appeal). Can the 4M40 diesels be tuned at all? I know they are 2.8L but i've heard they are also under powered. I may have to consider getting a JDM if I can't find a low mileage 94-99 in the US.
You can and I have shipped stuff to Long Beach, but I think the process or cost for getting it past your smog tests are complicated or high. I'm in Canada so no direct experience with local licensing.
Amazing quality video, these need more recognition!!!!

Cheers
Where can I get one of these vans with manual transmission in California? Let me know...
The automatic transmission version accelerates slower compared to the manual
Potatoes and Trucks it shouldn’t unless the turbo is blown
thank u. been thinking of buying one. would you say its good for lots of bimonthly/monthly long drives to out of town drives?

4D56 ? the most common diesel engine in the Philippines that releases black smoke ? yeah that engine may be horrible but it was reliable

Or, the TURBO is blown (that'll do it - as I found)
Where are you located and how much is it with how many miles ?
Cop Watcher Auditor this delica was imported to Ontario, 🇨🇦 for a client. It isn’t available for sale and it is too new for the US

@@BonsaiRidesImports Okay
Great video!
Thank you! Although, the music in this one was nowhere near as good as last one :)
Heeyyyyy!! What is the wheel and tire combo?!
You should check in with the owners for what they have on it now. Here is their channel: ua-cam.com/video/s3xvj9qNjOo/v-deo.html
Tires are goodyear duratrac and i think the wheels are either black rock 937 or mickey thompson classic 2. Looks more like black rock 937 though.
Could ask how much this sold for?
yes happy to discuss by email; craig@bonsairides.com
How much would a 93 go for to import into the US
The range is quite varied depending on trim level and condition. They can be North of 12k or under 7k landed in the US.

Unfortunately we cannot import a 1996 in the US for a few more years.
