My mother-in-law never owned anything but a land yacht. In 1980 she stop at a local car wash and the brush arm broke and put a dent in the truck lid, the insurance company gave her a rental while it was being repaired. A 2 door Chevy Citation. She drove it home and it sat in the driveway until she got her car back! 🤣 I miss those big old land yachts, sitting in the backseat was about a comfortable as sitting on a couch. 🛋️
I remember so many of these as a kid in the 70s. Got a 73 T- Bird black over burgundy 429 4 bbl , ride on that car! WOW of course it was a stablemate with Lincoln MK IV. Big floating ride, driving with one finger etc. This old man really miss the 70s. That's when Detroit used to build cars WE wanted, remember those days????
We sold our late 60s Ambassador for a mid to late 70s Chrysler New Yorker Brougham. Poop brown with a tan top. About that time my grandma was looking for a new car and when my last found out she was gonna trade in her 65 Continental he told her “like hell you’re trading that in”LOL He bought that 65 off of her and she bought a 76/77 loaded to the gills Continental. I loved that car and even as just a wee bit of a lad I knew what a nice car it was. Mid 60s with a power bench seat, power wing windows and a/c. I can still smell that car and remember the sound of the wing window motors. I’d buy one again in a second
Except for the Stutz Blackhawk, I have worked on and driven all those cars. By far, the Eldorado had the best interior and tied with the Lincoln [and Buick Electra] for the best ride.
How about doing a sequel of the top ten luxury cars of the post war 1940’s -50’s? I consider that period the glory years of car production. The 1947 Chrysler Town & Country was a shining star of automotive elegance, for example. Thank you for making this top 10 1970’s video.
I had the Riv, it was sweet.
My grandmother had a 1972 Chrysler Imperial 2 door. Would love to know if it's still out there
Nice video and thumbs up.

I like the '68 Mustang GT Fastback that Steve McQueen drove in the movie Bullitt! That was a cool car!
The Mark 3 was the top for me.

We had a Chrysler New Yorker growing up! I think it was a '73.
I think Chryslers luxury lines had the most gorgeous leather interiors in the 60's thru the 70's.
😁✌👌👍🖖😎
Barry White and a certain Haitian fella rocked the Black Hawk.
I think the Grand Marquis was more luxury than the Cougar
I had a lincoln mk.3 and a mk.4.The mk3 was the biggest piece of junk but the mk.4 was a great car.
