About The Golden Girls:
Dorothy, Blanche, Rose & Sophia are four young-at-heart housemates living together in Miami. Bright, promiscuous, clueless and hilarious, these lovely, mismatched ladies form the perfect circle of friends. The Golden Girls originally aired from 1985 x0096 1992 receiving critical acclaim throughout most of its run and winning several awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series twice and several Golden Globes. All four stars each received an Emmy Award throughout the series' run and have had multiple nominations. The main reason I loved watching this show as a kid, and still do from time to time, is because these women always remind me of my own grandma. They were always such a perfect mix of what it's like to be when you're old and have those few close friends, but aren't afraid to be yourself. My grandma has always had similar traits like them... Just like Sophia is blunt, Rose is innocent, Blanche is catty and Dorothy is kind, so did my grandma. For these reasons, Golden Girls will always have a special place in my heart.

Even I find that very touching. I love my grandmother very much because I care about her. So in a way, that is a reason why I'll always find this show to be a classic almost every single time it's on.

It’s one of those immortal shows that never gets old. I’d say in the next decade I could still watch this show and be entertained.

I am 23 and I love this show you Wilto they are old but they have lots of fun like old home girls that go through liked together with happy things sad things serious things and lots of jokes especially very inappropriate jokes . One is a smart ass one is a dumb blonde one is a cool thug grandma and one is a slut lol and they poke jokes at each other especially about being dumb or being a slut or the dumb things they do its a good show
The older you get, the younger the Golden Girls seem. Now with Betty White gone, all four of them are timeless and will never age.

So crazy to me how sometimes the theme songs of old shows get stuck in my head. If you asked me, I couldn't name particular moments from them off the top of my head, but the general feel and emotions they evoked stick with you and every now and then just pop up out of nowhere, even decades later. Kinda miss proper intros like this. Every once and a while I'll find myself on a binge of them, as opposed to all the shows themselves.
This show is universally loved by everyone. I don't know of any man, woman, gay or straight, black, white, young or old who doesn't love this show. There's a reason for that. Everyone can see their own grandma in the traits of one of or all of these women. The fact they're all gone is horribly sad, but I have a feeling whether it be on Hulu, or Hallmark channel every morning for a 6 episode block, this show will stick around for a LONG time to come for everyone to enjoy. Death is a part of life, and now Betty is gone. The last 'Golden Girl'. But we will have this for eternity and I am eternally grateful for it. I never laugh in life as purely and as honestly as I laugh at this show.

I watch this show with my dad in the morning on CMT, and he always told me stories on how he would watch this with his mom ( who passed away when he was a kid) and maybe a couple of his many brothers and sisters. I’m pretty sure it warms his heart to be able to watch it with one of his kids just like how he would with his mom. Also his favorite part is the theme song

Well said, when I saw on December 31st 2021 she died I didn’t know what to do. I was shocked.
I can remember in grade school i used to watch this show with my great grandmother and my grandmother. They loved this show and i kinda did too. Watching some of these old episodes makes me appreciate the writing on this show and how good it was and how well these ladies executed it. Good memories.
I wish we could have had a crossover where Dorothy meets Chandler from Friends.
