Great video. Given where you got this topic idea, should I worry if you do a video on the chemistry of THC? That will make the time between posts longer. :) Cheers.
A radar does a poor job of measuring objects moving perpendicular to the beam. You get cosine error doing that. You need to keep the beam parallel to the object your measuring. This is covered in more detail in most radar handbooks that can be found online if you dig enough.
Yes, in fact if the angle is greater than 30 degrees you can fight the ticket in many cases. I just made the animations perpendicular because it was easier to illustrate.
Maybe the next thing a device in your car that can detect if a police is measuring you? Seen some youtubers use this radar detector, could be a nice follow up.
Yea I was thinking about adding something with the radar detector but I really just senses that particular frequency range and then alerts you so it’s not too exciting.

Im from tom scott and uve grown
Nice video. Ive always wondered how those things work. Thanks
nice to know the science behind the radar gun

@@ScienceC Ah thanks, now i still know how it works :)
Cool dude. Let me be your 14Kth subscriber
Ok
We gotta thank police for this education
