    Just in the process of DIY wet underfloor heating, and needed info about the Heatmiser thermostat. Useful thanks. We used to work together at Portman. Good to see you're alive and kicking!!

    Great video. I’m considering swapping out out ufh thermostats with a HomeKit option. Just wondering whether you looked at any other competitors like nu-heat before coming to the decision to go with heatmiser?

      Never mind, they look to use the same thermostats.

      Hi Roy, thanks for the comment. Good to know that the Heatmiser and Nu-Heat UFH thermostats are the same. Outside of Nu-Heat and Heatmiser I could not find any other HomeKit compatible UFH thermostats.

      @@ianburgess525 The interesting thing is..I saw a video that is virtually identical from both companies on UA-cam. Its the same video, with the only difference being the brand name etc. It was almost leading me to believe they were one and the same.

      @@st4rbuk Its just rebrand for certain companies - I have one called ambiente which is identical. I’ve spoken to customer service to confirm. Hope this helps

    Very helpful where can I get the next deal for the netatmo valves please?

      I found that the Netatmo Radiator Valves are often on offer at Amazon. I got most of mine for about £50 each.

    Can you 'group' the Heatmiser thermostat with the relevant Netatmo Radiator Valve (in the room)?

    • @ianburgess525
      @ianburgess525  3 роки тому

      Thanks for the suggestion Lawrence. While grouping in HomeKit is possible for lights it unfortunately doesn’t seem to be available for thermostats. Hopefully that will be added in a future HomeKit/iOS update.
      I did have the thought that I could migrate my entire heating schedule into HomeKit automations. However I doubt that would be very user friendly and it would mean sacrificing a lot of the functionality within the Netatmo app.

    Can I use it from my work place via the app on my phone to set the temperature before I arrive home?

    • @ianburgess525
      @ianburgess525  Рік тому +1

      Hi Alan - yes, the hub allows you to access the system over the Internet, which should mean that you can set the temp from work before you leave for home.

    Does it compatible with the Myson touch2 WiFi Thermostat?

    • @ianburgess525

      I’m afraid I do not know. However, looking at the images on the Myson website, both the thermostat and the hub look almost identical to the Heatmiser products.
