VEDIA day seventeen. I talk about why I decided to quit being a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. Follow me! ♡ Instagram: samiholzman Twitter: @sami_holzman
I appreciate your honest reflection on why the company did not work out for you. Network marketing is difficult if you don't have a network that has disposable income and if you are unable to branch out of that network. Great video!
Thank you- this video was very helpful- it is nice to hear a positive outcome and what you gained through your experience even though you are no longer going to be continuing selling Mary Kay- good luck with your future endeavors! 😊
How do you quit? I joined over a year ago and never sold a thing. Mostly i just wanted the products for myself. I have nothing to send back i just do not want to be a consultant, get emails or even be able to sign into the mk website.
Londa's Journey if you do not place a wholesale order with the company for over a year, then your consultant status will no longer be. And you should be able to unsubscribe from the emails until then.
@@sharitastinson109 yes, she can quit and flip the bird at this scam! MLM, Pyramid. It is way overpriced stuff. For that overpriced skincare, you can buy a ton of top of the shelf skincare at ulta, and goodies.
Been with Mary Kay 3 years September and loving every moment of it and best part is free day care ! And just bought my first house with my commission !
I sold it briefly back in the 90’s. I think it’s a MLM cult where only a handful of women make any real money. You have to be naturally very aggressive and 100% sold on the entire line to be able to push it consistently and I wasn’t either. The skin care line is decent but the makeup isn’t anything special and is way overpriced. Maybelline makes better, more affordable cosmetics. Plus I think it’s business model of the facial parties is outdated in the 21st Century. It was developed back in the time when most women didn’t work outside of the home and these “parties” (Mary Kay, Tupperware, Pampered Chef) were their way of having a girls night out. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think the majority of women under 40 today are into that sort of thing anymore. They’d rather just buy their products directly online themselves.
Barbara Rudy I just stay away from all the parties and pressure selling. I sell mainly online Marykay.com/kandanemiley and when people ask me about buying products I just direct them to my website. It keeps the stress and pressure down.
I'm so sorry you are leaving MK!! I've been a consultant for over 15yrs and in the last 3 haven't really done much with it due to helping my husband start and run his new body shop. I knew someday I would be back and just put in a new order. I feel like I'm starting over but I'm in a place in my life where I can now dedicate more to it. There is nothing wrong with what you are doing, however maybe just take a step back for awhile and see what the future holds before giving up all together. Maybe in a few months you will be in a better place, new friends, new opportunities and ladies who are more interested in investing in good skincare!! Good luck in your future goals!!
thanks for not bashing the MK...since i am a new bc myself...and i became a user in order to cure my skin using the botanical effect...in my country...there are countless of peeling product and people are easily switch them without knowing the fact it can do to the skin.. i just glad my director is also my cousin who had worst skin problem and able to cure them after joining MK
99% of the women who get into Mary Kay won't make close to the minimum wage. They could do better working at McDonalds or Starbucks. Anyone who thinks they can get rich with it is very, very, very, very foolish.
Hi, how do you know it is quality cosmetic ? Hier in Germany we have independent tasting and comparing organizations ,who test products in the best officially recognized laboratories and the results are published .
You sound amazing and I'm so glad you learned so much! Thanks for sharing your story. I'm so sorry you weren't told about the buy back policy :( But I agree with one of the other comments. Connect with a director in the area and ask her to help you move your product, or message me directly if you need some ideas. Girls in my Unit have used some of these tools to get their product moving too. Best of luck to you! You are beautiful 💝
Love this business! Such a Lifetime Journey of personal growth, girlfriends, amazing consultants and sister Directors. So Sorry you are leaving, sounded like you were doing a great job!
Smart young adult you are! Mary Kay is not for people who can’t afford to spend money on products. Most college kids would not be able to afford the makeup. Pink money pit!
@@crabbypinchy if you are strategic with your order you can order once a year by ordering what you would need in terms of skin care for a year as well as other products you would use, plus the rest of $225 for gift giving for a year for some people on your gift list.
Here in Malaysia the lipstick cost $53 🤣🤣 However we get to enjoy 40% off for the lipsticks with the minimum of 130 points in one reciept. also, mary kay is the cheapest compared to the other quality international products. sometimes their lipstick could be over $70, and it is far expensive than mary kays i must say.
Im glad you increased confidence level but it sounds like you were already a fun girl ......set up a few partiesand have director due two of the partieswith you so you can move product ir you can sell bulk of final product or sell them in fundraiser to get your investment back and profit goes to your favorite charity
You couldve returned all your product back to the company mary kay is dept free company so if it doesnt work out get your money back just means you can never be a beauty consaultant again if you do so
$15 for eye makeup remover that is less than 4oz??? That's ridiculous. Bioderma has a 16.7 oz bottle of Micellar water for almost the same price. I used to buy the MK remover, but gave Micellar water a chance and it is way better. MK is a damn ripoff ladies. You now have Ulta AND Sephora. Who needs Mary Kay? Plus the people who help you at the aforementioned stores are actually getting paid an hourly rate without having to go into debt before earning a living.
it is your fault . not mary kay’s fault. this is what we called business. you work your own business . mary kay just give you platform for it. your strategy in business was 👎🏻 totally your fault because you doesn’t know how to do business. thats all.
You barely blink, lady! It's kind of mesmerising.
it's very strange...
Wdym? She blinked literally 4 times the first 24 secs. Not to mention she does small jump cuts. Yall were just too focused on her eyes 😂
I agree! I was watching and was like ‘any second now...’ *still no blink*
I feel like my soul was sucked out of my body just now
Rob Koch either i am

the company was great, just not for me. and thank you so much- to you as well!

Call in to customer service they can help you there.
@Tahndieka Odom I still have products of Mary Kay Can I Keep The Products or Can I Get My Money Back ?
Londa's Journey Noted
Why does this sound like an essay?
Thank you for this I needed to hear it I just got my starter kit in the mail today and I got so over whelmed but this was encouraging thank you
KeKe Pania Don't be overwhelmed! You can do this!

You are definitely not the norm
how many people are in your downline?
Are you a national sales director!
This is not for everyone!
I sold for 2 months till my Director tried to steal my clientele. I 💗 the product, it's fantastic. There is no skincare out there like Mary Kay.
Oh wow that's not right! So are you in need of a consultant? I'm available if so.
Have you ever been to Sephora? Lol, for the same price than mary kay products you could get waayyy better products with better ingredients
@@isamary99 yesss!!! sephora or ulta!

I can't afford a 17 dollar lipstick.
Can you afford $7.50 which would be your cost as a consultant, 50% discount!
But you love the product.
@@edibeedee she can only keep that discount as long as she keeps buying inventory, which she won't be able to sell.
