your home is always a work in progress, even if you have it built from the ground up ..even then you may want to change things....i think the home is beautiful ...but everytime i see a house there is at least a few things a i want to change...
The difference in perception. I would have replaced the carpet, scrubbed down the walls, got the floors buffed and hired a professional cleaner and moved right on in. The house is beautiful as it is. Congrats.

Realistically, no one would move into their new home without much renovation and then look at everything wishing they did something to it. Yes. It's so much easier to renovate before moving in. And so much healthier for her family not be around all that dust. She's doing things I wouldn't, but she's also not asking me to pay for it or live there so it's not my business. She definitely seems very grateful and optimistic about everything she has and wants to do.

Its not that they want to remodel it, but in my opinion its just stupid to remodel beautiful doors, if they are still ok, why can't they live with them for 10 years and then get new ones, when they are old and they need new ones? Its just not right in my eyes to change something totally ok, for a lot of money, a house is expensive enough, and some day they need to change some stuff anyway, so why can't you wait? congratulations! we just bought a new house and closed last week as well. we are military and it is so exciting to now have a place we can call ours. it's is your money and it's not a crime to want to do what you want with your house. God has truly blessed you! it's nice to have material things, nice things yes. God just does not want those things to rule our lives and get in the way of us serving him. he doesn't want us to loose ourselves and put materialistic things before him. that is all. but having and wanting beautiful nice things isn't a crime.

We are very blessed to have even that much and I have to down size a lot and share half a closet and we only have one very tiny bathroom and I don't complain. Be grateful! It was more than perfectly livable before. That house could fit many more than 3. Most people in the world do not even have or can reasonably obtain a fraction of what the house came with (to put it into perspective). All that nice tile and the cabinets, flooring, etc. was put into a landfill.
I watch a lot of shows about ppl buying & remodeling their house. Her reactions are honestly normal, and they both worked hard for this house. Let them enjoy their first house

Ultimately the goal in life is to grow and develop, which is what she is doing( im not a subscriber, but i know her story and l understand her growth). California is an expensive state and most of the time you don't have the option to buy a home with ALL the amenities that you want. She worked hard to earn the money to buy the house, so she is entitled to spend the money to make it what SHE wants. i live in the Bay Area where 500K will get you very little( the house would be less than 1/3rd of hers) , renovations are often necessary to create the home you want. I do not see anything wrong with what she has chosen to do with HER home. Congrats Dulce.

Its not that they want to remodel it, but in my opinion its just stupid to remodel beautiful doors, if they are still ok, why can't they live with them for 10 years and then get new ones, when they are old and they need new ones? Its just not right in my eyes to change something totally ok, for a lot of money, a house is expensive enough, and some day they need to change some stuff anyway, so why can't you wait?
Also its not just about wanting to remodel, but how she talked about the house, for example how small the beauty room is, hello? thats like a totally normal size for a room??? and it has its own bathroom :o who the hell has a guest room (which the room is probably supposed to be) with its own bathroom + a masterbath + a kids bath + a powder room... I for myself live in a very nice home, but we just have one full bath and one half bath and thats totally normal...

congratulations! we just bought a new house and closed last week as well. we are military and it is so exciting to now have a place we can call ours. it's is your money and it's not a crime to want to do what you want with your house. God has truly blessed you! it's nice to have material things, nice things yes. God just does not want those things to rule our lives and get in the way of us serving him. he doesn't want us to loose ourselves and put materialistic things before him. that is all. but having and wanting beautiful nice things isn't a crime.

It was more than perfectly livable before. That house could fit many more than 3. Most people in the world do not even have or can reasonably obtain a fraction of what the house came with (to put it into perspective). All that nice tile and the cabinets, flooring, etc. was put into a landfill.

Ultimately the goal in life is to grow and develop, which is what she is doing( im not a subscriber, but i know her story and l understand her growth). California is an expensive state and most of the time you don't have the option to buy a home with ALL the amenities that you want. She worked hard to earn the money to buy the house, so she is entitled to spend the money to make it what SHE wants. i live in the Bay Area where 500K will get you very little( the house would be less than 1/3rd of hers) , renovations are often necessary to create the home you want. I do not see anything wrong with what she has chosen to do with HER home. Congrats Dulce.

There's many people who work their asses off day and night that can barely afford dinner for their family, and no one ever praises them. But then some snobby bitches come on UA-cam making videos about makeup and fashion and all of the sudden they're hard working? I can't be the only one who thinks this.

I completely agree. My husband and I work over 13 to 14 hours a day, 7 days a week. We work super hard. But we know we can never afford a house like this. It is our dream. Sadly the world see's these you tubers as people who deserve it for making videos. Seriously it's just truly not fair what so ever.

I guess people don't watch the HG network, you buy a cheaper home that needs a little work, put the money you saved from the initial cost of the house towards Reno and bam you get a beautiful home that has your very own thumb print on it for a much less price as opposed to spending the arm and a leg for a home that is "turn key". When I lived in Cali a lot of people said they don't like fire places cause they find no need for them. Which makes sense cause it never gets cold enough to actually find a need to use em.
