I adopted a part Maine Coon baby 9 months ago and she is the most awesome cat I've ever had. Now.....I am in LOVE with Maine Coons!!! What amazing cats they are! And I got my baby from a shelter. She's from a hoarder's house who had 80 cats and they all have some Maine Coon in them. My baby is a lot Maine Coon!

I tried the vacuuming on Max my Maine Coon, he tried to bite the nozzle, but after a while he was OK with it. I have hardwood floors throughout my house, and there are tumble weeds of cat fur that I have to vacuum all the time. So, maybe if I vacuum him first, it will cut down on that. LOL.
It is a low power vacuum, he really loves it. I have to hide the vacuum in the next room and bring the hose over so it does not scare him. He just flips and flops while I am doing it, like he knows why I am vacuuming him.
I recently just lost my beloved Snowball at a too early 12 years of age. Snowball was so laid back that I called him either "Mr. Dog" or "California Dreaming". I just adopted a male European Maine Coon and he is a real fireball with more pronounced tips of hair on his ears and a more lynx like appearance than the American maine coon. Hoping that he and my female Maine Coon Princess can slowly get to get together.
So no one is gonna mention how that one goldfish keeps looking between the cats and the person filming like "...so you just gonna stand there and record my death for the 'gram?!? DO SOMETHING!!" 😂😂

Grooming! Vacuuming, sometimes a shave, called a lion cut for those Maine Coones that have allergies. These kitties are so fun and sweet to have as companions.
The first one reminded me so much of my (now) angel baby, Buster aka Buster MaGoo. The only difference being my Buster was gray and white, but they are almost exact carbon copies aside from coloring. He was the tiniest little kitten and grew to be this big cuddle ball of fur. Oh how I miss him as well as my other fur babies who passed over the rainbow bridge. For as big as he 2as (and he was a big boy) he was just the sweetest mush ball. 💜
I miss my gal so much, think these videos are a universal sign I'm going to adopt another when I move house, I resonate to all these MCs......beautiful cats. If your thinking of getting one then they stay kitten for about 3 yrs so arm yourself with long tickle sticks and lots of games, but until they mature into adults then they become a lot more tranquil and chilled......I'd never have any other cat. MCs Rule for sure thank you for video loved all of these majesticoons....

We have a Maine coon kitty an he plays fetch and does the following u around every where, our kitty tells us when to go to bed, really. He makes sure we are tucked in and through out the night he smells our noses, I guess to make sure we are okay and breathing. He is so loveable. He is everything u say and then some. Every one should own a Maine coon kitty.

Adopted my little man from a former teacher. Her cat got out and a few months later kittens came out. We were surprised by how big the little dude was, he was the size of an adult cat by 6 months old, and his mom was very petite. Turns out one of my former teacher’s neighbors has a male unfixed Maine Coon that they let freely roam the neighborhood.
I'm more surprised that a human would risk injury to their cat by doing something so stupid as vacuuming them. It's like they never heard of a brush or something, nor heard of the sort of injuries a household vacuum cleaner can do to a cat or dog. Doesn't have to be a shopvac or anything, your Minishark can rip a cat's ear right off, or break toes. Only takes a second and your cat is screaming in pain. My gf is a vet at our local animal referral hospital and she has regaled me with stories of these sorts of injuries...in her words," What kind of idiot son of an asshole vacuums a cat and thinks nothing bad could happen?"

2019 Mach OK I'v now been adopted by 2 Maincoons -_such talkers & the facial expressions. The younger red/gold & white one; hunts day & night-rain or shine. He wants to be held cuddled & told how beautimis he is, The other also feral ---is a black tiger That had his tail cut off. I expect his owners just dumped him. He likes to follow me like a guard dog, discussing all I do. Both like lots of petting & togetherness. Both are large animals & water is no biggie.
We got ours from a shelter too and he had been returned twice the last time was bad. He was hiding at the shelter in the corner in a box. Hard to do for a Maine Coon cuz they are not small. He was pretty stressed so I left my hand in the cage and sat by him. 10min later he came out and sniffed at my hand. The girls at the shelter figured he was never going to be adopted. However now, 2 years later he exhibits ALL of the MC traits and is the sweetest cat we have ever had. He is black and such a handsome kitty. Very polite and so easy to get along with. We got him big litter boxes and he is much happier with them now. Apparently he is a MC cross but he weighs in at 16lbs and sure looks like a MC. Bonus is he is an enthusiastic hunter. We live in an old house and mice have always been a problem. Not so much now. We have a front and back yard and oddly he stays in them although he could easily get under the fences. Lordy I hope he lives for a long time. We so enjoy this fella and he has stolen our hearts.
