Sofia Metro | First day of line 3 in service🚇

On 26.08.2020, line 3 began operation. it is quite different from the other metro lines, because of its unique rolling stock. The rest of the metro in Sofia is powered by a third rail, while the trains of line 3 have pantographs and function the same way as trams.

Greetings from Bucharest! I visited Sofia between August 21st and 23rd, without any idea that just days later you'd open line 3! If I had known, I would have postponed my vacation in Sofia, just for a ride on your new line. Congratulations! And, by the way, Bucharest opened the first 10 stations of the new line 5, just 3 weeks later

Sofia Metro has simillarities to Singapore's. Both Sofia and Singapore only have 1 line using pantographs and the others are 3rd rail

Greetings from Poland :3, also this Solution was Used for the 1st Times in Tokyo, Japan When Hibiya Line Was Opened on March 28th, 1961. Tokyo Metro is the Founder of this Particular Power Solution. Good thing that Sofia Metro used this Japanese Solution :3
