Howdy, Shane? I have not been able to catch a live stream for a long time, but I always watch afterwards. I have been on many solo road trips. Most people listen to music or audio books for entertainment. I bring along a portable DVD/Blu Ray player and select some of my favorite movies. Now, I do not watch the movie, I listen to it as someone would listen to an audio book. I stay away from movies I have not seen before as I feel like I am missing out on watching, and it becomes a distraction from concentrating on safety. For me, this helps with the, "I'm alone in the middle of nowhere and have so far to go." feeling. I travel only during the daylight hours to avoid highway hypnosis. Stopping for hours can lead to exhaustion sometimes, but I find that stopping for 20-30 minutes can help with fatigue. Along with looking for places to stop and film, look up some unique restaurants in potential stops, for lunch. This will give you something to look forward to on the way. Good Luck!
Best of luck on your adventure Shane. Still rewatch all your old videos around fall time as they put me back in the Yankee mood for autumn and winter which is my fave time to burn. Please keep your yankees mate. I decided not to buy anymore a few years back as I wasn’t enjoying as much. I’ve cut back to just autumn and winter. Anyway nice to see you back on the tube
I went to WCW in Salem last fall during my first visit to Mass. The owner was there and I went out of my way to tell her you sent me there - literally only reason I heard of this place was first through your videos. She didn’t seem to care, lol was kind of rude. But still love the candles, I snagged a few!
Shane, you are leaving your home but are starting a new and exciting chapter in your life. You are going through so many changes, so be gentle with yourself. I have made two solo cross country car trips in the past and I would suggest stopping and seeing some of the sights along the way. Enjoy yourself! And yes, a lot of music and singing along the way. Safe travels! You can do it!
Shane so sorry to hear that you are leaving the area. I had always hoped to run into you around here somewhere at a Yankee or Santa’s Village some year. Wishing you the best of luck and a safe journey across the country.
Shane, I've been out of the loop due to life and all of that, and I've missed all of your updates. I am excited for what's next for you, but we will surely miss you here in NH and in New England. I have looked forward to meeting up with you at Yankee Candle for the Halloween launches, and I loved watching all of your adventures in this area. I hope you will continue to share your adventures so I can see a part of the country that I don't expect I'll get to (though we never say never, right?!) Here's my little idea. You said you're not sure you'll still do candles. I hope you do. But I also hope you do food, and wine, and places, natural and otherwise. It's HOW you describe things that makes you unique...not necessarily WHAT you are describing. Instead of being The Candle Enthusiast, just be The Enthusiast! Because that's what you are. That's the spirit that led me to your channel and kept me coming back. We live in hard and cynical times, but wonders still surround us. We need your voice! Thoughts, prayers, and good vibes surround you from Nancy in NH!!
Sad i missed most the live today, had to work. We are all here for you for support during your cross country adventure. If you need anything reach out Shane!
I love WitchCity Wicks as well. I am lucky enough to live in a Salem so I frequent their shop. Their candles are not just candles but works of art as well. If you ever need me to pick something up from them, let me know.
Sorry I missed the live but I’m packing up the RV for my move. Raining buckets here in Nebraska so hopefully I can get out of the mud and leave for Arizona this Tuesday. So tired and excited for this drive and I know you are going through the same thing. Safe travels to us both. We have exciting adventures ahead ❤ We better pace ourselves and enjoy the experience 🎉 I’m so proud of us both and taking that brave step towards a new journey! I’ll be switching between podcasts and music to stay alert 😮
Safe travels, look forward to hearing from you again soon. Good luck on your next chapter ❤🎃🍁

I was just in Salem last week. It was pretty chilly, but we had a great time!
