The snowy wolf is so rare because wolves can't spawn on top of snow blocks, so just place a large platform on dirt or grass, and you'll eventually find one.
Introducing: the well wolf. Unlike other mobs in Java Edition, it never spawns when the chunk is generated. The well wolf is doing well, so it tends to be pretty patient in its spawning. It can only spawn in a chunk that has existed for at least 20 minutes, and it has 0.0015% to 0.0045% chance of spawning each tick, depending on the regional difficulty.
This isn’t really a complaint or a critic. But it’s just something I’m annoyed about. In the official Minecraft video talking about wolves they said that they wanted each wolf variant to spawn in different biomes to “encourage exploration”. Which is fine. Until you realize it’s the one they’ve been focussing on for a long time with frog lights, armour trims, villager trade rebalance and this. This is not a bad thing. But Mojang should really focus on other stuff like survival or progression.
Do you think they should a nether wolf variante that found in the crimson Forest that fire proof because wouldn't risk my overworld wolves into the nether
Or maybe instead, we can have our own unique mob that is a pet who can fight and is suited for the nether Cause having a nether wolf just feels so cheap
3:25 Reminds me of how I search for a seed for a long term world to see if it has a good blend of biomes, but I type the seed as the current date and time down to the second (example: 202403110322) as I'm searching, so it's kind of like timestamping when I start my world in a way too
Yeah, I only use 8 digits in that format, but the second attempt is minus. My gold standard is 20221212 where there is a village at spawn, and two more villages accessible by boat, and a ruined portal with a clock. Not many biome choices, and I WANT acacia wood for the pretty doors. So, when I find a seed that looks good, I weigh it against this one and still haven't found one to beat it. (dissappointing)
And... miracles happen. I just did -20240311 and that has 3 villages connected by river. And acacia. Plus it's all in ONE level-3 map instead of three level-3 maps. More interesting things 2K-4K away. And it looks like a little tunnelling of canals will connect both sides of the map. Oh, yeah, the stoney shores to get too much coal, and high terrain in the South for iron. So sad no Clock.
That Wooded Badlands was SO pitiful. I suppose you could cover the surrounding area with buttons to make all mobs spawn there. Like watching grass grow. I hope StoryTime keeps pace.
It's not like you will need to explore new chunks to find the new wolf variants IF you've already found the appropriate biomes, you'll just need to go back to them & wait for the wolves to spawn.

I tried the first seed and I found the village and pyramid next to each other but couldn't find the jungle pyramid near the villager around position 662, -126. So is this Bedrock edition but some structures are the same?? Please let me know, thank you

This was recorded in beckrock. I believe all that needs to be done is for you to turn on the previews. There might be bugs if you do that, so I don’t recommend doing so in your long-term worlds.

I'm struggling to find the spotted wolf, I've been all over the savanna biome I found and haven't seen a single one, not sure if it's bad rng or what
@crackedmagnet has a seed-finder mod that would've probably let you find a seed with all those biomes close to spawn pretty quickly
