I think Buddha is transcendent -- his solid evidence on the awakening of human nature further into Buddha nature is above science. I Respect and appreciate his compassionate instruction and boundless wisdom. He was not merely a thinker but a doer, a practitioner as well. For his 49 years' teaching profound as a vast ocean. Wish everyone has the chance to dig into and fully understand Buddha's teaching no matter one takes it as a religion or not, is not the point. What we can learn from his teaching that is just the key. Thank you so much for Buddha's teaching!

Christ command us to love one another, even to love our enemy. If we will to follow His command, the world will be a beautiful place to live. In reality this is not possible because all man are sinful , unless one surrender their life to God, then He will empower us to live a righteous life and love all mankind.; that's why the world is such a mess, basically man are selfish, we hurt each other, even kill and destroy one another.
I just heard the horrible news --- one crazy man went to a mosque and killed 50 in New Zealand's Christchurch.
The root of the problem is : man reject CHRIST, He is the truth the way and the life , without Him we are like living dead, ; hope you will get to know JESUS, He is the only way !!!

because the point is that if you have hair, you are attached to it. "How does my hair look today? What will people think when they see my hair? Do I like how my hair looks today? Is this a place where I need to do my hair before we go?" Etc, Etc. The same for the clothes. If you decide to just wear a robe every day, you are not attached to your clothing, you are not concerned with "What should I wear today? Is this outfit appropriate for this venue?" Etc, etc. Its not sheep behavior.

    • @tigershenanigans6878
      @tigershenanigans6878 4 роки тому +3

@@UA-camallowedmynametobestolen Yes I think that we all think different things when we say science. For me science is something that is trying to explain the true nature of all phenomena. Buddhist techings are called Dhamma which means truth or suchness. It would be more accurate to say that its primarly science of human mind. I thought that buddhism is a science in a scence that its practical and usefull. Ultimately we study science to be happier (to better our conditions which we think it will make us happier). Buddha said there is no need to go out of our way to better outward conditions. Its much more important to work with your mind. In that scence I find buddhism more usefull than science because it deals with suffering right away.

Not only Christianity but Islam and Greek philosophies are having debt of Buddhism. Before Christianity Buddhism already reached Alexandria, Syria and Greece. Indo-Greeks were Buddhist in the 2nd century BCE. Christianity also reached India when Jesus was still alive. Roman empire had long trade relationship with India, and they often travel to India. They learnt many things from India and modified Christianity. Monasticism, meditation, Ethics, Mudras (hand gestures), Ringing the Bell, even stories, idea of trinity, are borrowed from Buddhism. Read "Without Buddha I Could Not be a Christian" and 'THE UNKNOWN BUDDHA OF CHRISTIANITY'/ But it is sure that Buddha is incompatible. None can beat him. I was also Catholic by birth but love Buddha and his teachings.

I’m trying to keep it real here I don’t have that desire and either dose anyone I have met. If you possess that inclination I believe you are what they call enlightened already.

Can we not take care of the mind first and then as well take care of the body? Not being vain or selfish, but taking care of our bodies so that we are physically able to reduce our wrong doings physically and do increase our good doings physically. To help others in a concrete, tangible and visceral way. In my experience, the battle to find happiness, contentment and peace begins in the mind and after you feel it in the mind, you feel it in your body and then the environment around us will start to change. This was a very calming teaching for me and something that I needed to be reminded of, so thank you.

At first person tries to recall his inner world and trying different types of practices and doings , but he easily forgets inner world when busy in world affairs. Then there comes a time when he will become tired of every practices and doings, .. and his sensitivity start to increase. Then there comes a time when his sensitivity becomes so deep that he does not need to remember his inner world but he will get reminder and messages from everything around him and whatever happening inside or outside of him. Everything drags him inside, and he becomes so deep that he starts to understand the inner language which is soundless and formless . Then there comes a time when he will become stunned, surprised by vast beauty , by unlimited joy vaster than any ocean , stillness deeper than any valley. Then he will see his face in the mirror and will be surprised that he never saw and met this person before and everything looks utterly new.

I'm an atheist mostly (just a shortcut labeling to make my point) so i am against organized religions...But when you take aspects of Buddhism and Hinduism, Tao, Kabbalah, Christianity and ancient Egypt you can see a pattern. They share something in common.
From my experience i can say: There is not a single path. But you need a solitary thinking space. You need to get away from city life more intact with nature. After a while, nature takes its course and you somehow face death (Your cat dies, father dies etc). You can say "i have no fear of death" but every living thing has it in the base of its existence. So starting point is there...
You have to get frustrated, anxious, scared upto a point that your senses get widened. Then you'll experience some paranoid-schizophrenic episodes and your subconscious mind will guide you through it. You'll face your inner demons first of all...You have to get over them (not get rid of them, you learn to be compassionate towards everything and that gives you strength)...
Anyway, whole structure is about Solomon's temple metaphor. Fear welcomes you at the gates of the garden...When you enter the garden, you'll feel that you are in the temple but you are not. You'll learn some aspects of the true nature of things but you'll have to get over them, too...If you can accept and leave those teachings you'll step into the inner chamber. You are not still in the temple at that stage. (You'll start to think that there is a lot going on "outside" and you were not aware of it.)
You have to see that what you learned in the garden was only to get you into the chamber. They are not applicable anymore and you need to overwrite what you've learnt. From there you'll start to think that "there is nothing outside, everything is inside me"...
And you'll step into the real temple room. Master chamber...There you'll learn "There is no outside and inside...There is only one"...
That's it really. But words are not important. You must experience it. That experience will rewire you.
You will no longer see yourself as a "body" or "mind" or "soul" but a combination of all..."One"...

Sounds legit. (Nope, not really.) First clue, you don't even know the correct spelling of the city that you claim to be born in. Its Mumbai and not MumbHai. Second, Buddhism did not start in Mumbai any more than it started in New York. Buddhism originated in what is today the Indian state of Bihar. Bihar is where the Buddha became enlightened and gave his sermons.

I must admit I'm ready for some pause, a refuge. Of Enlightenment I don't know. How do I grow and change if I am "ready"?
On the other hand I feel like.. how many human lives must one live before it is okay to stop? Be ready, but I can't ever be ready.
    Indras web.
I am mere reflection of everything around and about me, and I only exist as reflections in the world around me. I am empty of desire.
Though maybe not in a good way as it was achieved by addiction in not accepted escapism. So a path of suffering and rejection by society. Desert among people, fools journey to nothing. "Trashing my body to the benefit of the mind" indeed. Was my favorite self justification-
Yet I am content in my doing nothing of "worth" except to myself . I seek knowledge, peace, and dance at times.
To help others, I try to be the authentic me with consideration and compassion.
I fear not lower reincarnations, I fear reincarnation of self awareness to continue.
My little in the moment sprung thoughts. . Don't know about perfect wisdom, total knowledge except that of melting into all I doubt exists. As individual humans, no. But as something more, I guess is the point. Once, when all the lives have been lived, every path walked and all remembered can we understand Buddha. We, not I or you. We are all laughing in the end, content.
    Thank you for the video.

I've been to Tibet every summer for the past 30 years. It's a great place. They are far more free than us on the outer, inner and secret levels. Tibetans in Tibet aren't consumed with jealousy and hatred like the ones in India and the West are. You want to see destruction of culture just go see the American Indians. If you want to see preserved Tibetan culture, just go to Tibet. You've got to go to know! Don't believe the propaganda, just follow your heart!
Good karma builds temples, bad karma destroys them. What kind of karma are you creating? Everything is self perfected through the nature of wisdom. May all Tibetans in the West realize this! Everything is perfect just as it is, nothing to add, nothing to take away. May you find the peace of mind free from all animosity, just like the glorious Lotus Born Guru!
If exiled Tibetans are so worried about Human Rights how come they don't protest the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc....

Once a lama walked in on his son sitting cross legged with his eyes closed and asked, "Are you meditating?" His son affirmed. The lama advised his son, "Don't try. Just enjoy the natural luminescence of your mind." Nobel Prize winner in quantum physics, Max Planck, is know for his quote, "Behind this consciousness must be a mind..."

Buddha is the discoverer of the medicine for all beings exist in the 31 planes within this galaxy and Dharma is the medicine , Sangha's role is like a pharmacist, (in order to propagate Dharma within communities the Buddha Sasana was formed) they (Sangha) explain to patients (people) after evaluating their needs how the medicine should be taken, based on the individual's knowledge and understanding of Dharma, their willingness to learn, their capacity to comprehend, the timing, their condition, dedication etc. Buddha Dharma is not a religion, it is a living system, in fact Buddha never had a religion, and unfortunately the modern day Buddhist cults have made it into a religion.
The complete Buddha's teaching is based on the Three Universal Characteristics of life existence. A person who will come to understand these three will understand the reality 'the Truth' but one needs to experience these three to get into the eight fold path. That is why Buddha Dharma is so hard to practise in this modern era. People's minds are corrupt with modern formal education, which is the opposite of Buddha's teaching, the formal education system teaches us to compete with each other, further the system manipulate societies using media to promote consumerism in order to control them. 2600 years ago the world/ Indian civilisation was exactly the opposite of what we experience today. To practice Dharma was part of daily living for them.

Initially a person pretends that he is awake. Because he thinks that ,he knows more, he talks more , he struggles more he ask more, he does more. Then one day he sits deeply engrossed into him , Then suddenly he found that he is actually sleeping but not awake. Once someone in reality found that he is sleeping , then sound of wind, then sound of word, then small action , then small gesture make him awake. This sleep is very near to awakening.
