Did Tennessee "wet the bed" too? Notice how they never mention that part of it. The SEC blowout is ignored, only pointing out Ind and SMU. Last check, Ind played much tougher against OSU and ND than how Tennessee looked against OSU.
Dude he literally did play QB at Bama. There are no commentators that are objective, most people in college football got into it from their illogical undying love for a university team. I love it, don't get me wrong. Just calibrate expectations
Penn states only weakness is their WR room. If allar had a top tier target outside of Tyler Warren, nobody would beat Penn state, and I hate Penn state.
That’s my prediction and for some reason- and I have no reason to think this because he has been mostly absent all season - I think Julian Fleming will have a big game in the National championship.
@@dotProcess I know and welcome! You guys have a great team and will for years to come. Not to mention, I think Lanning is the best coach in college football. I still think that Ohio State - this year - has the most talented roster in college football, and on a neutral site, I given them a slight edge.
Penn State was gifted an easy path to the Final 4 but I am happy for them. Franklin has had some bad luck and I hope he proves his doubters wrong in the playoffs.
PSU has one more possible win-easy season and first 2 playoff games. No matter how many HC’s they hired to their staff, Franklin is reason they will never make the next level. Real PSU fans know this.
Penn State could easily make it to the championship game. Notre Dame has so many key players hurt and hard to see UGA winning vs both with a backup QB. Watch out for Boise though!!
Not a State fan (my team was bad this year) but I’m a fan of their backfield duo and their tight end Warren. I don’t think Boise State is going to be as easy a game as people think remember they barely lost to a great Oregon team who is number 1 and undefeated.
That game was the second week of the season and Oregon was breaking in a number of transfer players, including their QB. I think that game looks a lot different if they play again now. There is a big difference in overall talent and competition, but you can’t look past anyone at this stage
@@geoffreyk9164yep. They’re too small to outmuscle the guy at the line, or like Julian Fleming, they run with cinder blocks in their cleats. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If PSU had a star WR outside of Tyler Warren, they would absolutely be the best team in the country. I’m happy for keandre lambert smith. He got his yards he wanted on a shitty SEC team. Had he stayed one more year at PSU, he would have been the surefire #1 and would have easily got 60 catches and at least 6 touchdowns this year, on a team that is close to playing for the national championship. Guess money and warm weather outweigh winning.
@@Seveneleven44, That’s not an accurate take at all. Evans for one is one of the fastest receivers in the conference. The main issue is that they can’t get separation and oftentimes can’t seem to find soft spots for easy connections, which is indeed partly getting off the line at times. They have been able to go vertical at times, but not consistently and not against better secondary competition. They are certainly not close to a great WR room, but I think they could also be schemed better. Regarding KLS, I don’t think he left for money and warmer weather. To the extent I know, he was something of a soft process, who knew that it was likely he was not going to be the number one this year. Bringing in Fleming and also there were rumors of work ethic issues, so the writing was on the wall. It worked out for him though, as you said he got his catches. He definitely doesn’t get those catches if he stays.

Shut up. Bama will never be the bama the fans want, ever again. Saban is gone. You don’t lose a skipper like that and expect to be relevant. Your ride was great. Now it’s over. Alabama would have been beaten just as badly as Tennessee, whether it was at the shoe or happy valley. Sec pole riders are real.
So how do you determine overall strength. How are you gonna argue that Texas is better than ASU or Boise State? They had less top 25 wins and the same or worse record.
Sure, Penn State can make the Natty... It think GA/ND will wear the tread off one another... If Penn State can beat Boise, then yes, it's possible to beat a beat-up GA or ND.
Then who belonged? 3 loss Alabama who were blown out by Oklahoma? 3 loss Ole Miss who lost to Kentucky? Face it, the SEC did not deserve to have more than 3 teams in this year. And look what happened to the third ranked SEC team the other night
On paper, there are certainly SEC teams that should beat SMU, but the problem is, they didn’t play each other. If the committee is going to start letting in teams because they have more talent or should beat teams with better records, then what’s the point in playing the regular season?
For as great as Ashton Jeanty has been this year, he has never faced a defense quite like the one Boise State is going to face come New Year's Eve. If he gets held below his season average, Penn State wins easily.
Penn State had key opt outs for that bowl game with Ole Miss. But, when they played Auburn back to back over two seasons, they spanked the SEC team good.

Definitely was!
2 good RBs, Tyler Warren, and Carter!!!
Penn State can absolutely make a run at the championship. We will see which side of the team shows up in the next game though
It's clear BIG TEN dominates again this year gonna be a Big Ten natty all these other conferences are weak again.
Enjoy it it will be different next year
Indiana will not be good, Oregon losing its qb, but osu and psu might have their best season yet
Not sure what youre talking about SMU, they dont usually play clean their near the top of the country in penalty yards and have lots of turnovers
Didn’t you pick SMU to win McElroy?

In week 2
Can't make a run at Natty when you have no deep threat or consistent wide outs.
Michigan just won a natty by 3 tds without a superstar wideout.
The biggest issue with the WRs seems to be that they cannot get separation. They do have a couple of deep threats though between Wallace and Evans

Don’t lose to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma
Rojas was POY in VA as a RB
Until they play someone good. Have lucked into an easy path.
Franklin is 1-12 against Top ranked teams. He’ll fold at the Quarters
What statement?
PSU lucked out in the terrible seeding system. No more byes for conference champs. Seed them on strength overall.
If that was the case Penn State would of had a bye based on the end of the season rankings and people would be complaining about that.
