I’ve been running this defense since Christmas if people run that wheel and you have playstudy back up all your corners and it’s locks if they try to throw underneath it’s locks. I also put a spy on the dl opposite of the running back so they won’t pick up any routes

I'd put my deep safeties in thirds to take away corners also safety package. Hard to put streak to pull them they all bump.

@bigbadamc5132 middle open with the halfs also. Just gotta be prepared with user. Sometimes I'll put a middle third so he don't think it will be open after.

I have a stupid question. How do you make your adjustments on defense in practice mode while holding the offense from snapping the football???
Holding rt or r2 will stop the offense from snapping. Basically pulling up the play art stops them. 😊

Man coverage is NOT a skill-less cop-out for simps to use; it’s just a rational choice at times. Would you want a zone defense where your players cover chunks of field and have more flexibility but don’t cover any one receiver very closely (and get picked apart in Madden), or do you want man coverage where each receiver is individually followed but there’s no help if coverage is beaten? Both have their place depending on your defensive approach.
If you’re gonna complain about spamming, blame it on EA. Madden has been a straight dopamine source for flamboyant passing and high scoring (much like the NFL is trying to be). In Madden 22 I broke my controller like a hormonal silverback gorilla over the fact that my opponent was slicing me up no matter what defense I called all game. I mean, I literally called type of coverage and it was impossible. My only coping mechanism at that point was to play press man, adjust the pass rush and pray. THAT’S why people resort to man coverage; it’s the only thing that fuckin’ works a third of the time. People are tired of the offensive bias and pedestrian defense.
Ever see how games between the best Madden players are usually high scoring? Why aren’t they ever a display of two dominant defenses?
