Very nice room and hotel. I really liked how every room is unique and different. The kiosk setup is something I've never experienced, but I would definitely prefer someone to be there in person. The June bugs picked the wrong door to slide under. 🤣😅 The town looked very cool and had some interesting places to visit. This was an excellent video and I've learned more about the Outer Banks from your channel than anywhere else. Thanks so much for the outstanding content!

The hotel sounds and looks nice....except for all the June bugs!! Nobody wants to deal with those big things in the middle of the night. I enjoyed seeing the short lighthouse, I think I've only ever seen tall ones.
The June bug visitors were unfortunate. LOL. That was the first river lighthouse we had ever seen as well. Interesting story - there was a similar lighthouse on the river very close to this one and they attempted to move it a few decades ago. It fell into the bottom of the river... where it still is today. And they built this one where they wanted to move the old one. We learned some fascinating things on our visit. Thanks for watching!

Nicely presented rooms. That is an ugly sight to see the water heating in the room. Clean rooms are important! Oh No Bugs! These June Bugs, harmless as they are sounds like they can be annoying. Yeah, we liked the look of the rooms and the location. And the beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. But the water heater and the bugs were a bit of a turn off. I was very glad they weren’t roaches though. Thanks for watching and commenting!
They could get door sweepers and those fabric wraps of course to keep the June bugs out. At least the rest of the hotel is decent even if there isn't a living being to help you with door cards and such. 🧐😁😊🛡️
It would be very easy for them to keep the June bugs out. I hope all the doors at the hotel don't have a bug entryway at the bottom. Perhaps it was just our room. It was overall a decent place to stay - for a good price in the Outer Banks during the summer tourist season. Perhaps there used to be humans who worked there... until the robot kiosks took over! Nice siting aria. I like that. I would hate to find a June bug in my room. For a room over $200 should not have any bugs in the room. You guys are smart to fix the problem. The marina look nice and I like the lighthouse. Thank you for talking us along 👍

The hotel looks nice but odd….Odd check in and odd to have a water heater in the room. The June bugs just wanted to join your vacation! 😂 You had me at Christmas shop!! Looks close to some great attractions. Beautiful area.
The June bugs had their vacation cut short unfortunately. The kiosk front desk was interesting. We wondered if this would be the wave of the future. But the comments about the check in kiosk are running pretty negative so maybe it is not a great customer service idea. It was weird to see a water heater in the room, right? We've never experienced a check in process like this, Jack and Alice. not so sure we'd care for it. I guess we pay for groceries, gas, metro tickets that way so why not. Otherwise, it looked like a nice room. June bugs are free! We would love to see the historic site as we've seen so much of these early settlers who came first (English) and left in mystery. Loved the video. Thanks so much for bringing us along.
Next summer we’ll have to go to the Outer Banks. The robot person is kinda weird. I prefer the personal touch. Bit this place looks pretty cool and much better than where we usually stay. This looks more like someone’s home. Really cool how you guys show activities in the area. Much cheaper rooms than our New York.

A gap under the door like that always greatly concerns me because worse things than bugs would be able to get in! They really ought to add a door sweep and probably also screen doors. That check in kiosk was definitely strange; I like to check in digitally and use digital key, but that's not really the same thing.
Love the Scarborough Inn, but we're not sure how we feel about the kiosk feature. The microwave took up most of the sink counter space. Who cleaned it? The Jetson's maid. Otherwise the room was fairly nice, and there is definitely a lot to do near it.
This hotel had a bit of a weird vibe for me. The video receptionist seemed to be at odds with the oldie worldie charm of the place. Great tip on keeping the bugs out too.
Our stay found room very clean but big gap under door and when we checked in the auto check in was out of order and phone number was taped to door which when called went to voice mail. Waited 1 hour then a very unapologetic young man gave us our key pass.Then we found out the walls are paper thin! A road crew arrived which took rooms around us and down stairs and the yelling and profanity went on till midnight and this was in stereo. Then one of them got up at 3 sick.Then everything started again at 5am. Could do nothing no management on sight and none on sight when we checked out at 6am. We stayed in March 2024. Guess what we won't be back. Don't waste your money.
