It’s pretty crazy that Dunkey created a game publishing company only several months ago and they’ve already created like 6 new types of animals. I even saw a dog the other day!
Only in the Yakuza series can you go from a street fight, to a karaoke competition, to managing a real estate company, to a noir murder mystery, to running a cafe, and back to a street fight all in the space of a half an hour. I love it.
I’m pretty sure Dunkey spends the whole year meticulously planning how he’s gonna deliver the next Super Mario Bros 2 GOTY joke for each Best of 20XX Video and I’m here for it every time. Truly an unstoppable masterpiece

How close are the publisher and the developer? Ultimately, they both agreed on the deal, so evidently they both think they're getting something good from it. And I know you probably didn't intend it that way, but your comments also come across as somewhat bad faith attacks. This is a small indie publisher announcing its first title, a small indie developer's first game. Not only does the game itself look extremely promising, but the main thing to celebrate here is independent producers making something fully outside of the cursed, soulless oligarchy that is contemporary mainstream publishing. That's a win in my book. Even if the game doesn't do as well as we might hope - which I highly doubt because it looks excellent - this is still an awesome first step for what we can reasonably expect to become a very solid independent publisher - not least since it's the passion project of our favourite UA-camr in whose comment section we are presently gathered!

Elden ring is legitimately one of the best games ever made, not just the best of 2022. Played 4 times myself, and it's absolutely stunning every single playthrough
People frequently complain about the size and repeated bosses, but it still has the highest number of unique bosses in any Fromsoft game by a decent margin. The size as well gives you so much room to vary what you choose to do on repeat playthroughs. Build diversity is strong, spells are better and more varied than ever, and the landscapes are just a treat to look at. The land is so big that there are things I discovered on my first playthrough that I haven't found again on repeat playthroughs. It's an absolute gem of a game and I'll continue playing it for years to come. Now give me Bloodborne on PC

I'm amazed at how polished Dunkey has become. His videos have always been efficient but for a long time had an edgy resistance. The Dunkey I see in this video is extremely confident. With a long legacy of inside jokes and bits he's able to lean into what makes him special without losing focus. To see it all come together so harmoniously is powerful. I love Dunkey, can't wait to play Animal Well and can't wait to follow Dunkey for the rest of my life

That video he put out a while ago about his own review career and how people learn to trust your opinion also displayed the kind of thing that you're talking about in your comment! The guy has just been building his lore and canon over the years, and now he has a deep well of character to draw from right when he's really hitting his stride. It's great. This is excellent. Not only a great list, not only did Super Mario Bros. 2 keep the streak going over something as magnificent as Elden Ring, but Animal Well looks beautiful!
I also played Alan Wake this past year and had a blast with it. The stage fight with "Children of the Elder God" blasting, marching through town with Sarah Breaker while she kills everything like she's related to the Doom Slayer, and Barry showing up wrapped in Christmas lights and armed to the teeth? Fantastic.
Man I love this channel so much and it makes me so happy to see its progression. I remember more than a decade ago my homie shows me guide to girls, and here we are now. A dark and oppressive setting, offset by moments of brightness sprinkled through and a stunning unique art style. It was the reason I fell in love with Hollow Knight, and by the looks of it I think I’ll love Animal Well too. I can’t wait to play it, Dunkey!

Facts. I think I've played 3 indie titles he's reccomended now and they're all now in my top 10 favorites
I'm amazed at how polished Dunkey has become. His videos have always been efficient but for a long time had an edgy resistance. The Dunkey I see in this video is extremely confident. With a long legacy of inside jokes and bits he's able to lean into what makes him special without losing focus. To see it all come together so harmoniously is powerful. I love Dunkey, can't wait to play Animal Well and can't wait to follow Dunkey for the rest of my life

That video he put out a while ago about his own review career and how people learn to trust your opinion also displayed the kind of thing that you're talking about in your comment! The guy has just been building his lore and canon over the years, and now he has a deep well of character to draw from right when he's really hitting his stride. It's great. I am thankful to have a content creator like this putting stuff out!

I also played Alan Wake this past year and had a blast with it. The stage fight with "Children of the Elder God" blasting, marching through town with Sarah Breaker while she kills everything like she's related to the Doom Slayer, and Barry showing up wrapped in Christmas lights and armed to the teeth? Fantastic.

A dark and oppressive setting, offset by moments of brightness sprinkled through and a stunning unique art style. It was the reason I fell in love with Hollow Knight, and by the looks of it I think I’ll love Animal Well too. I can’t wait to play it, Dunkey!
