Rebecca, my all time favorite eyebrows is in Signature. A beautiful brown neutral. I hope they didn't change the formula because it was amazing on mature eyelids. Something in the formula never made it look dry. It was creamy and almost had a sheen but no glitter...so it was matte but beautiful.
Wow! U got your hands on these quickly! The only one I own from the old collection is the golds/browns which I love so naturally with the new release the olive quad is what caught my eye. Are the new shadows a better formulation? I never liked how dry her older shadows were. At least they seemed that way to me? I LOVE the green shadow quad on you-gorgeous! How does that one compare to TF Olive Smoke?
I’m also interested in formula - I suppose each different finish will vary, but the overall “dryness” of the new satin shades vs old satin shades could be compared maybe? - and the “lid luster_like” shades compared to the pot lusters - and of course just quality (dry, smooth, flakey) of the shades in general
I am going to compare to the Tom Ford over on Instagram so watch for that in the next day or so. These are a little bit creamer than the original but they still have a powder feel

I love the way the olive one looks on you! The other two are too dark, especially Victoria. I can’t wear blues either. Remember years ago Color me Beautiful. You were either a spring, winter, autumn or summer? You are a definite Autumn, I am a Spring. We both have warmish, neutral coloring. So, we gravitate towards that olive palette. You have greenish eyes, my are teal. Yep, the olive palette is the best, for us. lol.
I’m so excited for this video! I am a blue eyeshadow loving gal and I am not going to pick that one up either because the three matte colors are exactly what is in the old Royal brick and I have an abundance of metallic silver shades that I could put with it to get the same look. I was considering Victoria and Night Shade(?), but will probably pass b/c of my low buy. I wish that the sparkly shades in those two were light shimmers, rather than deep. I feel like it would make the palettes SO MUCH MORE usable for day and night. Those very dark shimmer shades in each one make them not very practical for me. The most wearable one for certain is the Olive and it is GORGEOUS on you! It might also look great with the Sequin Green or Smoky Quartz liners for a bit of a lighter look.
I think you’ve really hit on something here. For me these go crazy smoky and it’s because of the shimmer shade being so deep. It’s much more in my comfort zone for the shimmer shade to be a bit more either transparent or light. You really make a great point here
Before reading your response, I was actually thinking the opposite - while initially, I leaned toward the Victoria palate possibly being too dark, I’ve since come around - it’s because of the palette’s dark shimmer shade I plan to purchase (didn’t take me long to justify a purchase lol). I love it - I think the dark shimmer makes the palette unique. There is an over abundance of redundant of the exact same colour stories of brown neutral palates on the market, to the point where even if the formula superior, it’s redundant story doesn’t attract me enough to want. Same old. I’m glad she deviated from the status quo, went bold and found what I think a beautiful differentiator for what would otherwise be a, perhaps beautifully packaged, but boring, uninventive palette. -> Perhaps, maybe(!) this an opportunity for us to explore and play with looks in new ways - I find it interesting the marketing for this specific palette on the fairest skin tone focused on lining the eye rather than smoking out the full lid, as we usually see with the darkest of shades, an offering of a new way to envision a smoky eye, or at least serve as a reminder that such need not scream nighttime. In short I think it’s a cool direction, just took a few seconds to see it. Just my perspective.

It came in a day, they must have a warehouse in Europe, cause i live in The Netherlands as you know. Could not yet wear them, but swatched, and super beautiful! Packaging even more heavy than the previous one, not necessary but i know lots of Americans love heavy packaging. Favorite: the green one, same as you, Rebecca! Compared that lightest shade in the Olive palette with my Mel Thompson Tiny Marvel palette shade fire fly or fire buts whatever: i was so, so happy, with my now more sensitive eyes i cannot wear a lot of these palettes anymore, like PMG/ND/SG. But this is almost the same as that shade in Mels palette, its a litte bit more toned down, but this formula is more easy for my eyes. I can never declutter Mels palette, but this is much better for me. And yes, we have almost same eye colour, Rebecca, i must say i hate blue eyeshadow here too. Sending you lots of love!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
I live in US and I bought just the refill bc I don’t think the heavy package is necessary at all. I don’t apply eye shadow on the go so nobody will see my cheap plastic packaging 😂 I ordered the olive palette and can’t wait to receive it!

Rebecca - Great review! The Victoria palette was gifted to me from VBB prior to release. I was able to experiment with it using several shades of SKL. I like it with Cinnamon as recommended, but I also really like it with Orchid (my new favorite SKL), as well as Cocoa, Fig & Ash. The chocolate brown shade has mauve undertones that complement Orchid. When Eye Wardrobe launched online, I was thrilled to see the other shades, but especially Olive, which I immediately ordered! The Night Flash palette looks nice also & I will order it soon. Just like you, I will not be ordering the blue palette. As always, I appreciate your reviews. The Olive palette looks fabulous on you!

They are a little bit creamier than the original formula but there’s still mostly a powder-based formula. They don’t feel creamy like Natasha Denona would. I would say they’re more similar to viseart
YES! Thank you for this mdetailed video with swatches and comparisons. The moment I saw them I wondered how they compared to the lid lusters. If you didn't compare them to the original eye bricks, am I right to assume non of the shades are repeats? And you didn't compare the shimmer in Victoria to Mink because they don't look similar or because you don't have it?
I lent my Mink out and never got it back. It infuriates me. I thought it was gone but someone just told me they saw it up for sale. The formula has been changed up from the original palettes. I just didn't compare because the video gets way too long and I have that horrible thing where I have to try to please the middle ground. BUT send me a DM or comment on insta and I'll be sure to get your exact swatch request up.
Thanks for the update on the pricing issue! I was in shock at $75 USD for an empty palette 🤣 They’re pretty but I’m still going to pass because they’re too smoky for my 55 year old hooded eyes.
I’m glad you did the review. I actually pulled out an older version just this weekend. Also gray and smoky and incorporated a silver shiny shade from Viseart and dark navy eyeliner. Much more dramatic than I wear but really nice. Of the ones you reviewed, the green tone only one I think appeals to me and looked beautiful on you.

Wow!!! There's a smoke show going on over here! Each palette was prettier and prettier on you. These palettes look like a fun “night out eyeshadow” to me. I guess these days we go big or go home. I love the color stories, but WHOA, they are much deeper and smokier than I had imagined. I am glad they are refillable and now have a shimmery shade in each palette. The Lid Lustres are an obsession for me. I have them all. I was so upset when they discontinued Onyx. It’s the perfect smoke shade. I’m happy to see a replacement here. These are well-curated and easily fit in with the rest of her collection. I own virtually everything she has released but have never pulled the trigger on the eyeshadow palettes. I ordered one to try, but I can already see picking up Victoria & Olive. Thanks for getting these up quickly with lots of great info. (What’s up with the all-over-the-place prices?!‽)😬 I’m tempted to order two refills to see what happens. 🤞🏻 Do you think these palettes are meant to pop in and out of a single case, or do they each need their own? They kind of need their own case but they sit in the cheapo plastic really nicely in the meantime. And then you gotta get the little clip to stick it into pop one out to put in another. I hate to say it but if you wanna store them with any ease it has to be each in its own case unfortunately

Olive kajal a shot to my heart. I can’t find mine! I’ve been looking for 2 weeks. I am sure it will turn up. But I’m missing about 3 navy noir and the black. My Victoria is on the way now I am looking at the green. It looked beautiful

I love the olive!!! How does the shimmer compare to Honey lid luster? They seem to be very similar. I have ND Yucca but don’t use it often. Do you think there’s any similarities?
Oh I want one (or two) of these, but I think the darkness of them may just be too impractical for me - I wouldn’t mind most shades being dark bc I don’t have to use all the shades together, but it looks like the main larger shade is kind of dark in all the compacts - the large shade being lighter and/or having a lighter shimmer shade would make these more suitable for me - I love all the shades for sure, but I’d have to use another pallet for my base shade and maybe a lighter shimmer too, then I could use one of the VB shades as a darker contour or use the beautiful “lid-luster-like” shade - but by that point, if I’m just using the palette for one pretty shade anyway, I could just use my regular makeup and buy a few lid-lusters in the pot that are cute and it would all work the same way -- buuutttttt …. The packaging is soooo sooo sooo pretty, I’m still tempted -- I bought the compact mirror she came out with and it is very beautiful - I bought it for my purse , but I keep it beside my purse when I’m home so I can look at how pretty it is. LOL 😍 - it’s heavy enough for weapon use as well
Bonus FRIDAY VIDEO! 🎉 Also the first video on these I’ve seen!! 🙌🏼 Even on a “need to take it easy day” you still grind (as the kids say) You are a powerhouse! At $125 per quad I was scandalized! But now that we know it’s $75 I’m good! Whew! I really, REALLY want the olive. 2024 Lisa would have already purchased it. 2025 Lisa knows this is permanent and will wait until the CT green 9 pan in the cheapy looking packaging is released. I don’t need both. The VB is MILES ahead in packaging and I want that green/gold “not a lid luster but is a lid luster” more than I can say…but what if the CT palette has one like it and I get more shadows and can do both light and dark looks? I also need to hear how the formula for the CT mattes are. Are they the same as the holiday 9 pens or different. I am pre-asking for a CT green 9 pan vs Olive VBB eye wardrobe swatch comparison on Instagram!! Who knows…maybe they are different enough to have both! Like a goblin, I always want ALL the green eyeshadow!!
These are still powdery but not quite as powdery as the original. I do agree with you. I like them very much but creamy was never the description I would’ve used for the bricks either

Also, Rebecca, after a really crummy period in my life I just splurged on the Tom Ford Olive Smoke ( used a Nordstrom Note though, so cheaper), and now you’re raining on my parade and telling me I should have waited for VBB instead??
No. In fact many people much prefer the Tom Ford formula. That’s a big debate though when Olive is an in style shade and we get quite a few. All of smoke is lovely and in many cases can go on a little bit more manageably so I don’t think he did a bad thing at all. Oh good bank is still available? I don’t know why I thought it was gone. I guess everyone’s been telling me it is and I just took their word for it. But you didn’t go astray with the Tom Ford purchase. Not at all
Just not interested in Vicky B but here to ask have you seen the upcoming Isamaya collection on the Sephora site? They have a plum blush/highlight duo!! Though it is a cream & i prefer powder blushes, i may pick it up for fun. They have a shade called "Capricorn" but it is a brown/gold so that wouldn't work for me but I like the name for us goats 🐐 🥰
I love VB. I have never had a product I got from her brand that gave any issues. I was tempted to buy one but the price point vs the amount of product is a lot. I have eye shadows that have the same colour stories so unfortunately, it's a pass. They green eyeshadow palette is beautiful on your eyes Rebecca.

I adore that olive palette!!! I might have to pick that one up. How is the shadow texture? Creamy? More dry?
They are a little bit creamier than the original formula but there’s still mostly a powder-based formula. They don’t feel creamy like Natasha Denona would. I would say they’re more similar to viseart
YES! Thank you for this mdetailed video with swatches and comparisons. The moment I saw them I wondered how they compared to the lid lusters. If you didn't compare them to the original eye bricks, am I right to assume non of the shades are repeats? And you didn't compare the shimmer in Victoria to Mink because they don't look similar or because you don't have it?
I lent my Mink out and never got it back. It infuriates me. I thought it was gone but someone just told me they saw it up for sale. The formula has been changed up from the original palettes. I just didn't compare because the video gets way too long and I have that horrible thing where I have to try to please the middle ground. BUT send me a DM or comment on insta and I'll be sure to get your exact swatch request up.

Thanks for the update on the pricing issue! I was in shock at $75 USD for an empty palette 🤣 They’re pretty but I’m still going to pass because they’re too smoky for my 55 year old hooded eyes.
It is a lot of money for an empty palette! Thankfully that appears to be inaccurate pricing
I’m glad you did the review. I actually pulled out an older version just this weekend. Also gray and smoky and incorporated a silver shiny shade from Viseart and dark navy eyeliner. Much more dramatic than I wear but really nice. Of the ones you reviewed, the green tone only one I think appeals to me and looked beautiful on you.

Wow!!! There's a smoke show going on over here! Each palette was prettier and prettier on you. These palettes look like a fun “night out eyeshadow” to me. I guess these days we go big or go home. I love the color stories, but WHOA, they are much deeper and smokier than I had imagined. I am glad they are refillable and now have a shimmery shade in each palette. The Lid Lustres are an obsession for me. I have them all. I was so upset when they discontinued Onyx. It’s the perfect smoke shade. I’m happy to see a replacement here. These are well-curated and easily fit in with the rest of her collection. I own virtually everything she has released but have never pulled the trigger on the eyeshadow palettes. I ordered one to try, but I can already see picking up Victoria & Olive. Thanks for getting these up quickly with lots of great info. (What’s up with the all-over-the-place prices?!‽)😬 I’m tempted to order two refills to see what happens. 🤞🏻 Do you think these palettes are meant to pop in and out of a single case, or do they each need their own? Xo
They kind of need their own case but they sit in the cheapo plastic really nicely in the meantime. And then you gotta get the little clip to stick it into pop one out to put in another. I hate to say it but if you wanna store them with any ease it has to be each in its own case unfortunately

I bought the three you purchased as refills and all were sent with a case, which saved me $75. Nice touch by the brand. 🎉

Yes. I think that’s a definite dupe for mink. I loaned down my mink and it’s not here to compare darn it but it is a dupe I really feel it is

Other than the Tom Ford crème formula, I can personally take or leave his formula to be honest. So VBB wins for me.

Olive kajal a shot to my heart. I can’t find mine! I’ve been looking for 2 weeks. I am sure it will turn up. But I’m missing about 3 navy noir and the black. My Victoria is on the way now I am looking at the green. It looked beautiful
Oh my goodness this was me with the Cocoa. And all along it was just with other eyeliners from another brand. As Murphy’s Law would have it, when did it show up? When I ordered a replacement for it

Oh I want one (or two) of these, but I think the darkness of them may just be too impractical for me - I wouldn’t mind most shades being dark bc I don’t have to use all the shades together, but it looks like the main larger shade is kind of dark in all the compacts - the large shade being lighter and/or having a lighter shimmer shade would make these more suitable for me - I love all the shades for sure, but I’d have to use another pallet for my base shade and maybe a lighter shimmer too, then I could use one of the VB shades as a darker contour or use the beautiful “lid-luster-like” shade - but by that point, if I’m just using the palette for one pretty shade anyway, I could just use my regular makeup and buy a few lid-lusters in the pot that are cute and it would all work the same way -- buuutttttt …. The packaging is soooo sooo sooo pretty, I’m still tempted -- I bought the compact mirror she came out with and it is very beautiful - I bought it for my purse , but I keep it beside my purse when I’m home so I can look at how pretty it is. LOL 😍 - it’s heavy enough for weapon use as well
They are indeed super pigmented but the darkness can be reduced by not using all four shades in one look

I really, REALLY want the olive. 2024 Lisa would have already purchased it. 2025 Lisa knows this is permanent and will wait until the CT green 9 pan in the cheapy looking packaging is released. I don’t need both. The VB is MILES ahead in packaging and I want that green/gold “not a lid luster but is a lid luster” more than I can say…but what if the CT palette has one like it and I get more shadows and can do both light and dark looks? I also need to hear how the formula for the CT mattes are. Are they the same as the holiday 9 pens or different.
I am pre-asking for a CT green 9 pan vs Olive VBB eye wardrobe swatch comparison on Instagram!! Who knows…maybe they are different enough to have both! Like a goblin, I always want ALL the green eyeshadow!!

How is the formula different from the Eye Bricks? (Everyone calls those “creamy”; I found them to be a little too powdery.)
These are still powdery but not quite as powdery as the original. I do agree with you. I like them very much but creamy was never the description I would’ve used for the bricks either
Mink lid Lustre is gone and you can’t get it? I just saw it on the site. Also, Rebecca, after a really crummy period in my life I just splurged on the Tom Ford Olive Smoke ( used a Nordstrom Note though, so cheaper), and now you’re raining on my parade and telling me I should have waited for VBB instead??
No. In fact many people much prefer the Tom Ford formula. That’s a big debate though when Olive is an in style shade and we get quite a few. All of smoke is lovely and in many cases can go on a little bit more manageably so I don’t think he did a bad thing at all. Oh good bank is still available? I don’t know why I thought it was gone. I guess everyone’s been telling me it is and I just took their word for it. But you didn’t go astray with the Tom Ford purchase. Not at all
The Victoria quad reminds me of the Wayne Goss Smoky Quartz palette. Can you compare those two?

I love VB. I have never had a product I got from her brand that gave any issues. I was tempted to buy one but the price point vs the amount of product is a lot. I have eye shadows that have the same colour stories so unfortunately, it's a pass. They green eyeshadow palette is beautiful on your eyes Rebecca.
I know it's hard to justify the price point.
