I still got my tbdm trucker from warped tour 2012 Trevor is a real gangster I remember watching the what a horrible night music video back in 06 on UA-cam and it blew my 13 year old mind metal could be so dynamic.
FINALLY MY MAN GEEBZ IS LISTENING TO BLACK DAHLIA This song is very much an anthem of their second to last album but they have so much more to offer. I can't wait for you to hear more. My recommendation to you? The song "That Which Erodes The Most Tender Of Things". Just absolutely off the walls evil melodies and the lyrics are absolutely fantastic. RIP Papa Trev. We all know that the rest of the guys have what it takes to carry on his legacy, and I definitely agree with you, the new guitarist of this band (since the album Nightbringers) has quite the career ahead of him. The Black Dahlia community is still hurting from Trev's death, but I for one am excited to hear what kind of passion the next album brings.
All of these guys are talented, but Brandon Ellis (lead guitar) is a special kind of talent. He's sooo good, he did a short vid covering the legendary Eruption solo from Van Halen and absolutely nailed it.
Brandons solos are fucking nasty... Seeing him with Ryan as the guitars with Brian on vocals now is just fucking perfection for me with Papa Trev gone... Brian still writes the vast majority of the riffs and hooks though cos he's always been responsible for the 90% of the guitar writing
Brandon Ellis is undoubtedly one of the best metal guitarists out there. He’s a pretty young guy too. Mental soloist. You’ve gotta check out his solo on the track Sunless Empire. Fucking gorgeous.
As a Metalhead and remembering what and who Trevor was to the Metal World is Huge.. A hell of a vocalist, but not just that.. He was an extremely kind guy and was loved by so many in the Metal World. As i have seen solo interviews of his and with the band.. But Never had the opportunity to ever see the TBDM. RIP Trevor.💀🤘
@@blankenstein1649 I felt (and sometimes still feel) the same way you do but I just recently saw them live back in May for my first time. Brian really did a great job and put on one hell of a show. I obviously didn't know Trevor, but I have a feeling he'd be proud with Brian's efforts.
@@wallbarr that's good to know. i'd definitely still go see them, it just bums me out that i know i'll never get to see trevor perform. i'm glad his passing didn't break up the band though! bdm kicks every ass.
@@blankenstein1649 Absolutely man. The rest of the band killed it in every way possible as well, easily my favorite live show so far. The energy was out of this world.
They sound so massive live I saw them on a small monster stage back in 2012 in warped tour and it blew my mind how sick it was they were spraying everyone with super soakers (it was in Florida lol) it was hot as balls and man was it a show the pits were nuckinfuts
Great choice Geebz! I love this band so much. Brandon Ellis is their new lead guitarist and what a great addition to their sound. His solos are so incredible and such a welcome sound to hear in metal today where you dont hear as many solos. RIP Trevor, the world isn't the same without you brother.
Please give these guys some more playtime, on or off camera! They've been in the scene 20+ years and they manage to top themselves with every new album. They've gone through a few members but the lineup has been solid with every iteration - they're all stellar musicians. Don't skimp out on the lyrics, they're brilliant.
@4:40 he brings up megadeth's guitar player. the solo in this track really sounds like the guitar work from the band cacophony, which marty friedman was in, who then went on to play lead on my favorite megadeth album, rust in peace. speed metal symphony ftw 8-)
Rest in peace Trevor. Their guitarist has stepped up since for vocals full time and they've brought back an ex guitarist to continue their legacy. It's bitter-sweet seeing them live without Trevor but I've never felt such conflicting emotions before.
Finally! My favorite metal band!! So happy to hear your thoughts on them! I would love to see you breakdown "I Will Return" or "Nocturnal". Those are just a couple of my favorite tracks that I think you would find interesting. Stay cool Geebz!
TBDM is unique, all of them as individuals and also as band. The drummer was performing covers from them until their original drummer quit and put Alan Cassidy as their official drummer, fucking awesome.
Outstanding choice. I do consider Nightbringers’ solo to equal Tornado Of Souls. I am also fascinated that you could get that sense of what Brandon Ellis brings with this solo that fast. It took me quite a listen to get all of the nuances, techniques and melodies the solo carries
Excellent band. They have great music all the way through but the albums Nocturnal, Deflorate, and Ritual are their best IMO. Front to back awesome songs on those three.
😢 Trevor ❤ What a band!! I’ve loved these guys for ages now. So good.. With summoning the lich taking that sound to new levels. ❤️ I highly suggest checking them out geebz. Maybe their track descend or cult of the ophidian. Love the channel mate. 🔥
Please listen to the song Miasma. That is my favorite album from them and the title track is a BEAST. I also love Statitory Ape and Dave Goes to Hollywood from that album.
The guitar player actually plays a bunch of Megadeath songs on his channel lol Don't worry i can't stand the growling either but this is by far my favorite musicians, they have the best melodies, solos and riffs.
Brandon is great as many comments have said... But can we give some love to the main man Brian... Dude is the driving force of the guitars and riffs... Now with papa trev gone hes taken over vocals and is absolutely fucking killing it!
It was okay until the voice started. No way. They are all more or less a copy of At the gates. And their slaughter of the soul is way better than all that new stuff.
Never liked Black Dahlia, their sound is so flat and commercial like Lamb of God's tone. I can't even finish it honestly, I listen to tons of metal but this is like a flavorless burger my man. Dare I say, a nothing burger 🍔👀
This song definitely is flat and commercial compared to like….everything else they do. Anything off of Deflorate or Ritual though; legit brutal throughout and not a twinge of redundancy or flatness. It really is that good.
Rest in peace Papa Trev

Forever Rest in Power, King.

legit popper into the comments just to say this!!! geebz check out more BDM!! BLAST FIENDS WE OUT HERE
Man, anything from the album Nocturnal is gold.
All of these guys are talented, but Brandon Ellis (lead guitar) is a special kind of talent. He's sooo good, he did a short vid covering the legendary Eruption solo from Van Halen and absolutely nailed it.
Brandon Ellis is close to perfection on his guitar playing skills, he has a lot of videos up on his IG and he is insane
He is bad ass for sure
Imo he's similar to Marty Friedman, the crazy vibrato and the phrasing sounds so much like his style

Damn… R.I.P. Trevor man.

one of my biggest regrets as a metalhead is not seeing bdm while trevor was still alive.

Brandon Ellis's solo on Sunless Empire is on of the best solos ive ever heard. He's so clean and creative at soloing
Guitar player Brandon has the loudest, most accurate pinch harmonics live. So damn loud and great improvisation on the solos live

My favorite band of all time. Blown away to see you doing this song.
Rest in peace Trevor. Their guitarist has stepped up since for vocals full time and they've brought back an ex guitarist to continue their legacy. It's bitter-sweet seeing them live without Trevor but I've never felt such conflicting emotions before.
Fucking Trevor, man........R.I.P.
Rest in peace, Trevor. :(
Good lord this song is so good I love it more every time I hear it

Also Trevor was an amazing human, RIP.
Nice to see you back!
BDM reigns supreme. I can't help but compare all other metal bands to them. Please more of these reaction videos
This lane of extreme metal is hands down the best. Has he ever done a deep dive on Revocation?
Outstanding choice. I do consider Nightbringers’ solo to equal Tornado Of Souls.
I am also fascinated that you could get that sense of what Brandon Ellis brings with this solo that fast. It took me quite a listen to get all of the nuances, techniques and melodies the solo carries
That opening guitar chord progression?? Love it.
❤Thank you Geebz ❤
Excellent band. They have great music all the way through but the albums Nocturnal, Deflorate, and Ritual are their best IMO. Front to back awesome songs on those three.
We need more geebz reacting to the men. PAPA TREV FOREVER
😢 Trevor ❤

Love the channel mate. 🔥
Have you ever done any Mars Volta? Viscera Eyes...
ALL HAIL BLACK DAHLIA MURDER!!
Thanx!!! Great Video!!!
Rest in peace Trevor 🤘🤘
8:13 sounds like a hit to me lol
Most if not top most respected death metal band.
Singing "The world ia gonna burn" lmaaoooo
Anyone else think he kind of looks like Bart (one of their former bass players)
More TBDM and Kalmah please! 😎
I think this is one of the worse Black Dahlia songs and it still slaps. Hope you do more of them.
Super true; I feel that it’s the least representative of their quintessential sound
Please listen to the song Miasma. That is my favorite album from them and the title track is a BEAST. I also love Statitory Ape and Dave Goes to Hollywood from that album.
If you love the bass on this please review their song: seas of salted blood. Love the content been a subscriber for years!
The guitar player actually plays a bunch of Megadeath songs on his channel lol Don't worry i can't stand the growling either but this is by far my favorite musicians, they have the best melodies, solos and riffs.
Everything Went Black is one of the quintessential BDM tracks
Let me see your muscles! R.I.P Trevor
Brandon is great as many comments have said... But can we give some love to the main man Brian... Dude is the driving force of the guitars and riffs... Now with papa trev gone hes taken over vocals and is absolutely fucking killing it!
Love Black Dahlia Murder
rip trev
Dismantle the Dictator by Revocation.. solo killllls
Love your vids. Check out a song they just put out called mammoth hand
please PLEASE listen to BLACKSHAPE - ITIIITIATIIHYLIHYL. Amazing song and video. You'll love it. Chicken skin throughout.
It was okay until the voice started. No way. They are all more or less a copy of At the gates. And their slaughter of the soul is way better than all that new stuff.
