a very cosy day spent at home with very tiny ambitions for the new year, reading lots of books, watching films and taking it slow.
hi nina, every video of you feels like a gem, i look forward to your next upload and you feel like a big sister. thanks for making videos and sharing in the authentic way you do. it has a mild, kind and gentle tone, which i am also practicing with. i find it really refreshing and inspiring to hear you talk about mental health, your relationship with food, wellness and pleasure. love from the netherlands ❤
I completely agree, always so wholesome videos 🙏
Me too! Same emotions :))
thank you for continuing to grace us with your online presence in 2024! Sending lots of well wishes and a gentle start to the new year
❤ I am always admirative of your way of filming, finding the right angle, making us see through your lense and your sensitivity. I would be so thrilled if you could share with us some of the online website / newspaper you read, or sharing some articles that really "hit" you
Thank you for your content :)
Going through a difficult time right now (like many others) and as always feel so connected to you Nina- you never fail to inspire, to comfort. So much love, thank you ♥️
Hola, Nina. Soy Alicia, estudiante de doctorado en literatura en Madrid (España). No suelo escribir comentarios en los vídeos, la verdad. No me gusta exponerme.
These videos are a balm to me and a beautiful reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things. Thank you.
ahhh that makes me so happy to hear 🥲
Lol, I never think about articles but just these few seconds of you mentioning reading some you've saved in the beginning of the video made me realize just how cool they can be. :))
Love it! Dont be the best version of you, spend your life finding out what that is for you
I would love to see the longer content you spoke about toward the end. Listening to you rambling about things you read or see is very interesting ❤
You inspire me to read books ❤
Nina! I just read W. Somerset Maugham’s On a Razors Edge and I absolutely loved it! The writing, the fine view into the character’s Development… All of it! Thanks for the recommendation!
Looking forward for your videos weekly. They bring me happiness ✨
I've never been this hungry for beans as when seeing the last minute of this video!
beautiful, stunning, soothing video - I wish I could watch your content constantly!
I really love your videos, for me this year it's the same I want to watch more movies. I saw Poor thing last week and for me it is one of the best of january! (My english is not great sorry).

Love the tone of this video
❤❤❤ Thank youuu
I love your videos so much ❤ I am totally gonna put poor things on my reading list!!
Love your ideas on books. Have you ever wanted to teach literature?
Linda 💞💐 thank you so much for your videos
your videos are my favourite
oh thank you!!! the biggest of hugs x
Nina!!!!❤❤❤
First time here, thanks to UA-cam's algorithms ! Lovely video Nina. Thanks for reminding us the film 'Poor Things' is based on an actual book by the same name. From the looks of it and based on what you've said, the text seems intentionally experimental in form like say, Ulysses, combining different artistic elements that are synthesized to create something new-ish to break the mold that is bourgeois reading. An ode to the timeless Mary Shelley 🥸😎
hi Nina! I'm currently reading Assassin's Apprentice thanks to you and am absolutely LOVING it! 😍 thank you for the cozy video, and I hope you've had a great start to the new year ❣
Thank you so much for your video, buying tickets to see poor things and checking to see if those books are in my library!
Ahhh I loved reading Poor Things so much! What did you make of Victoria's letter at the end??? I feel like it turned the whole story on it's head! I loved the movie, too. Though I was watching waiting for how they were going to end it...I enjoyed the ending, but the book ending was a bit of a different experience lol. Lovely video as always, Nina xx
Much love from belgium!
You gotta watch Blue Eye Samuri! Worth it
Hi Nina, thanks for this cosy video ❤ I've been wondering: how do you remember enough about your year to reflect on it? I, like you, have a terrible memory due to adhd, and every time i sat down to reflect on the year, I've become frustrated because i don't remember very much. Is it just that you journal regularly and have records of your year? If so, how do you have the concentration to go through everything during such a busy time of the year? No worries if you'd rather not share. I hope your next read will be less disappointing!
I love you and your videos very much. 🤎
heheh really enjoying that I am sitting here in Glasgow while you are reading a book by one of its great authors, Alasdair Gray was a wonderful creative, his written and artistic works are some of my favourite things. Also thought you should know that Willem Dafoe's accent in the film is based on Gray's voice/accent :)
I’m reading Rouge with a friend for a bookclub and I saw your IG reel with disappointment. We don’t read the same books so I’m keeping my mind open, but I trust your judgement!
Nina, you look lovely with your hair up!! :) btw, where is your blue bottom shirt from? It's my kind of style. Looking forward to your next video! Xoxo
❤
If you're not keen on letting algos dictate your taste, it sounds like you'd love Kyle Chayka's new book 'Filterworld: How Algorithms Flattened Culture'!
uuu that sounds so good!! I'll check it out 🧚🏻
Hey !! Love from India 🇮🇳….. Give us house tour as well ❤
💘💗💓💖💞
Does anyone know what song is playing from the 0:00-1:30? Bbbbbeautiful!
It’s Massive by Could Ever. Enjoy ❤
@@Jen-nd4us magic! Thank you 🙏
8:18 was just wondering what accent does she have?
After months of trying, I finally dnf’d rouge yesterday. I absolutely agree with everything you said about it. It was so boring and repetitive, I slept multiple times while reading 😣🫠
I should have also dnf'd!!!!
