@@DKADV Thx... Yeah, I'm missing my 701... I only had two rides on it before I flew over to Texas buy boy I had fun on both....will be another month before I'm back and out of quarantine, but you can bet I'll be taking it out then. Now that Winter is setting in, where do you ride?
Well enjoy the warm weather over there because it is no good here. Just finished a trip out to the Grampians and Little Desert, will have it out this Friday. Lots of winter gate closures in VIC so will be working around them to keep the content coming.
@@DKADV You rode Little Desert!!! I saw a post by Nerb1... and that looked like Hellish riding to me. If you were riding the same trails, it looked like really tough going. How did you handle that on the GS?
It was an experience! Awesome to tick the box. As soon as we aired down the tires it made it a lot easy to negotiate the sand. Weight is the enemy, the GS got the job done but was a real hassle to pick up. It is 701 country!
Came across your videos while looking for places for my 4wd. Nearly made me decide to get a bike again. But at 62 my bones might not hold up like they used to lol. Enjoying watching a bike doing the tracks for a change. Subscribed. Cheers!
I was looking forward to this video. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I could almost feel how cold it was sitting in my heated lounge. Some of the the best footage going around. Thanks guys.
Just stumbled on your channel and have been binge watching your videos. 1 of the things I love is that you cook real food not the old standby of pasta and a can of tuna. I have picked up a couple hints for my cooking, Keep it up. Your bush craft is pretty good as well. Lastly, your music selection is on point for your vids. keep doing what you are doing...
Wow! That was a great watch. You're campsite set up was excellent. Hats off to you for being very prepared in changing weather conditions. That's what motorcycle adventures are all about. Thanks for sharing. 👍😁
Nicely shot and edited. It's great to see young fellas out there doing things right, well mostly. Having a fire where there hasn't been a fire is not a good thing. But you cleaned up your other fire spot so, well done. You also cooked up some decent food, nice effort. Not many people bother with good food out riding/camping and there's no reason you can't eat well out there. Looking forward to the next vid 😎
Completely agree with you John, we talked about not having a fire due to the fire scar. But the spot we picked was based on our safety. I always ways make a conscious effort to leave the spaces I camp better than i found them. Cheers mate.
How’s the reliability been on the SWM? Keep talking myself out of one due to the height, but might just buy one and lower it. I do a solid mix of 50/50 on road with freeway & gravel. How’s it on the freeway? Are valve intervals really only 4K? Cheers
Hey Sarah, that's my SWM. Cracking bike, love my mountain goat, for the price hard to beat! I know some guys have looked at lowering them, great group on Facebook. 'SWM owners Australia & New Zealand' It's a great all rounder, OEM wheels (Metzler Saraha 3) and original gearing are great on freeway, purs along nicely. As I have to play keep up @dk_adv I changed to Motoz Tractionator RallZ's and changed sprocket combo, down one on front and up two on rear (14/42) to make it a weapon off road! As for valves it's just for checks 1k service 5k, 10k, 15k etc. So 5k service intervals. Join the Facebook group, heaps of questions and answers on the page, including lowering questions. Hope that helps😊🤙
aj13243 Thanks for the reply. I never use Facebook, but might have to join! I’ve seen one review of someone here in the states getting speed wobbles at 75-80+ MPH. Have you noticed that?
@@sarahdell4042 any offroad knobbie tyres will feel unstable at high speed, the OEM tyres were more stable and could throw the bike into corners like a motard, but lacked grip in mud and on tracks. More road oriented tyres would be more stable or there is the SWM Superdual T model of you want more Highway road oriented bike.
Hi, how you doing guys. I watched the complete video, it was really very incredible ride / journey. Anyways, I have subscribed your channel and also have to shared your this video to all my touring groups and they gived Big Thumsup 👍 to all of you.😊 Wishing you very good luck for your upcoming rides / tours. Regards. 💙♥️🇵🇰
Love the video good effort, please put in the title the bikes that are there, as i feel you will get far more views from people who ride them, keep up the great work and the food :)
Hi John, thanks for subscribing and your comments. I put the track names in all my vids so people can plan there trips from there. I get a few requests for GPX files, this is the best way for me to manage it. Where are you planning on going in the HC? Happy to point you to some great spots.
@@DKADV Cheers. I did notice some of the points you pass through listed in the descriptions. I’ll have a go at piecing them together to form some routes. Thanks for the quick response and I’ll ping you when we have questions. Cheers!
Wow what an epic video, love the fact you film the camp as well as the ride, it makes watching the videos more engrossing, than just endless riding.
Cheers mate, plenty of YT channels out there with endless riding footage 😴Glade you enjoy this one🤙
Working through your others, all epic vids mate 👌🏼
